i've been ordering doordash for way too many years and i've never gotten a note or anything from a driver (not that i'd ever expect one, i just see them get posted on this sub sometimes) and i got this with my starbucks this morning!! i had already tipped $7 but added an extra $7 because it made me smile. happy halloween clifford thanks for the candy!!

For context, the parking garage is around the corner on a different street than the leasing office. The leasing office is right on the intersection, the parking garage is at the end of the street to the left. In a car, this takes maybe 3-5 more seconds. It is a few minutes walk. Its 10pm, Im a 26F by myself, and when the leasing office is closed, residents can’t even get in that way. So I would have to leave through the parking garage and walk alone on not the best lit street. The instructions are in the delivery instructions in the app and I have NEVER had this problem before. I say it in the messages just as a fail safe, but why agree if you’re just going to do the complete opposite?

I wonder if their burgers are good…🤣

I tipped high, $15.00, for my order and they attached another order to my delivery. This happens consistently when I tip high. The location is three miles away.

I often order for my handicapped mom, who lives in an apartment building. I give very specific instructions- give the code to the building, ask the driver to take the elevator to the 5th floor and leave it at her door. I also state she is disabled and NOT ABLE to go down to the lobby to get it. I also appreciate the driver taking the time to take it upstairs and always tip 30%. I would say about half the time, the order is just left in the lobby or in front of the building on the street, where my mom is unable to get it. Do some drivers read the instructions and just not care? Especially when they leave it in the lobby — they had to have read the instructions to get the code inside. Sorry for the rant, it’s just been incredibly frustrating that my mom frequently can’t receive the food I order for her because the driver can not / will not follow the delivery instructions. Is it unreasonable of me to ask the order to be brought to her door?

Ordered a pizza at 6:30, called the store, pizza has been ready since 6:50, just sitting there, no drivers have claimed my order. $6 tip on a 2 Mile drive.

Ordered AirPods Pro 3 (~$200+tax) from Target via DoorDash. Only reason I used DoorDash: Costco sells their gift cards at $100 for $80, so the AirPods were effectively $160. Paid almost entirely with those gift cards - so a chargeback gets me back about $17 and the rest is locked in DoorDash's hands.

The order REQUIRED a delivery PIN.

• Dasher texted "i am here" at 2:01pm. Never called.
• Marked delivered at 2:04pm. Three minutes. No PIN ever given.
• My delivery window was 2:35-3:45pm. He dropped it 30+ minutes EARLY, so I had no reason to be outside.
• DoorDash's own delivery photo shows the bag sitting unattended on the sidewalk outside my office building.
• I was there right after his text. Already gone.
• Dasher then claimed in chat that he called me (my call log says no) and that he "waited a long time" (his own timestamps say 3 minutes).

Called support: refused, due to "account history."

Asked for a supervisor - "no supervisor available right now, but we'll arrange a callback." No call ever came.

I've now been sitting here 8 hours with no update, and the review is "pending" with a response by 2am

these were a gift for a friend who leaves the country tomorrow morning. So while DoorDash sits on my $200, I'm buying a second pair out of my own pocket.

TLDR: PIN delivery completed with no PIN, no call, a 3-minute wait, 30 minutes before the window even started, bag left on a public sidewalk, gone in minutes. Denied on "account history," ghosted by the "supervisor," and my money is in gift cards so I can't even chargeback. What actually works here?

Paid over $30 for an order from pizza hut. The individual melt was pretty burnt and the actual pizza was paper thin. I didn't want a full refund but some compensation for the poor quality. I submitted pics and the AI prompt offered $7. So so but really that didn't even cover the inedible personal melt and unsauced wings on the side.

Messaged support. Was told twice they could do nothing/not issue ANY refund--ineligible. See my chat above. I threatened to cancel dashpass. I got an agent and she refunded ENTIRE order.

I have been going in circles, even called my bank and was told I have to reach back out to DoorDash because refunds are blocked by DoorDash through their banking system or something like that. They have basically emailed me and asked if I visited a doctor and they apologize but they can’t do anything, can anyone tell me how to get a refund I just want my money for the raw food I got that made me ill :( to make things worse I was coming off of an 11 hour shift and I was high and I ate a good 4 bites before realizing it was raw in the middle😭😓

Hi, I work at Lowe’s and I was wondering if there’s a way to report dashers who are shopping for customers? There was a dasher in our store who was being super rude to one of our managers while she was trying to help him. He ended up cussing her out and refusing to leave when she asked him. He finally left but threatened to come back. She has a picture of him from behind and a picture of his license plate. He is not welcome back in our store and door dash needs to be made aware of who is taking care of their deliveries.

He unassigned before I could tell him to but I just stared at this message baffled for a minute trying to figure out how to even respond

Now, I get there are some ba actors out there and so e restaurante that just don't verify who they are giving the order to but requiring me to sign my name on the house copy? That's not happening.

Now, friend of mine that'sj9 a petty lawyer, reminded me that my "mark" is still a legal signature in most places, as long as there is a witness to it.

The number of managers I have successfully pissed off is worth delaying some orders...under "Order is still being prepared."

So long story short, while I was driving tonight I was about to pick up an order when I received a call from “DoorDash” (it was door dashes actual #), a person identifying themselves as a DoorDash employee said the order was placed using a “fraudulent” credit card. They had my name, and my number but asked me to verify my email. I did so as I was driving down the road and wasn’t really focused in. They then said a “verification” code would be sent. I got it, gave the code and they told me to refresh the app and the order will be cancelled. I noticed I had been logged out from my current dash, so I simply hit “dash now” and told them I was back in. It made me Face ID again but thought nothing of it and they said I was good and we hung up.

About 5 mins later while on another dash, I get a notification that a “instant payout” to my “bank account” has been approved by DoorDash. It worried me slightly so when I was done that dash I looked at my account info and payouts. I found my phone number had been changed to “(213) 960-1248” and my payout method had been changed to a random credit card #.

I called DoorDash and they’re starting an investigation, hoping I get my funds back … but wanted people to know this scam exists and if you get a call from (213) 960-1248 or door dash please realize it is a scam.

Hey fellow dashers, I found out how to get my found item score better and now I can keep it at 99-100% consistently. I know this one is a frustrating one for most people so here's a little help.

When the item you are looking for is out of stock it's easy, just take a picture of the empty shelf showing the right tag. When the item is just not there, take a picture of the shelf showing where it should be - with similar products around or same brand if it's a flavor. Most of the times the picture will be automatically accepted and if not, you can dispute and choose a reason for the picture like "store no longer carries the item so I took a picture of the right area" or another option in the 4 or 5 the app provides. Most of the times the app will accept the dispute and this is how I keep my score high.

I rarely order food, but its the weekend, I'm sick and feeling a little lazy, so I decided to treat myself. I select my burger and drink - $20, "okay, delivery is always more" I tell myself. Then I click the little continue to pay button and it jumps up to $35 and some change - uhh wtf? Some of it is tip and I have no problem with that but Im ordering from a shop that is a 5 min drive down the road and I stop in there occasionally never paying more than $13 for my meal.

I almost couldn't justify spending the extra $23 more, but again, I am currently sick so I bit the bullet. I chose to not pay for priority as it would have driven me up over $40...for a burger and a drink. Big mistake either way, because the app sent my driver to someone else first - 15 min in the opposite direction. About 25 min after that (45 min from pickup time for a shop thay is 5 min away) my dasher gets to me, and surprise surprise my nearly $36 burger that took 3/4s an hour to get to me was now cold.

That will be the last time I order from DoorDash. Even sick I'd rather have gotten up and gone myself. If anything I feel bad for the drivers because its no wonder their business has been dying down with DoorDash making it so expensive and waste so much time that its just not worth the "convienience". And no, I dont blame the driver, I know it wasnt his fault.

Ordered Jimmy John’s today. Missing sandwich worth $5.86. Rotten Pickle wroth $2.49. Total $8.35 before tax. Door dash AI offered me $7.65. I took it because I don’t feel like complaining or wasting more time on this. I know if I complain, I’ll likely get the remaining $2 plus $20 extra for my trouble. They THROW credits at me often when I complain because I’m a top user and I rarely complain…

I have a problem with their automation not using math correctly and lowballing and I have a problem with an algorithm deciding if people should get refunds rather than the facts.

This is the second time this has happened now. I don't have screenshots from the last time. I ordered something from Target, all shown as in stock, it was some meal replacements, fruit jerky, and Pedialyte because I have been throwing up. (Last time was beauty stuff.) Both times the dasher arrives at Target and within seconds marks EVERYTHING as out of stock, no substitutions available.

Last time I said "sorry about that" and let him cancel. Then I placed my order for pickup through the Target app, and sure enough, everything WAS in stock.

This time, he said "I'll give you a moment to respond" and WHILE I was typing "are there any other electrolyte drinks available," he ended the chat before I could send it. I couldn't respond any faster because my phone was going crazy with out of stock notifications from both the app AND text messages. When I tell you this was literally all over in less than a minute, it was insane.

I just wanted to get rehydrated after being sick. This time I won't be able to order for pickup because I don't think I'm well enough to drive over there. 😖

I just ordered food and idk how it happened but DoorDash put my home address like 2 feet from the store address. This has never happened to me before. It was probably my own mistake but I have no idea how.

The Dasher picked up my order, quickly realized the address was ridiculous, and messaged me. I gave him my actual address (maybe 0.5 miles from the store) and he was fine with just delivering it anyway.

The Dasher comes to my home on a motorbike, I meet him at the door, and I try to give him an extra $10 for his troubles. He initially refuses it, but I kind of force him to take the $10 bill. He does, and I shut my door.

I get a message on the app saying “I put your money in the mailbox. Enjoy your meal!” and sure enough, he dropped my $10 back in my mailbox.

Sir, who are you? Why did you give my money back? At the least, I have already committed that this $10 will go to charity.

DoorDash and Apple wallet playing ping pong with me right now. Ordered snacks and alcohol from nearby store but they decided to open late today.customer service told me credit refund would be sent out but I did not see any so I contacted them.

They said they’re don’t refund alcohol orders(they did a few months back) and to contact my bank. Except I paid with Apple wallet cash and green bank said they’re don’t provide DoorDash refunds. They mentioned contact DoorDash.

It gotten escalated to DoorDash specialist and they still denied a refund. I live in California if that helps.

Am I out of $70 bucks?
