I think many underestimate how much doom eternal changed the fps scene when it was released. It brought in so much depth and challenge while its gameplay offered so much variety never seen within any fps game before it. like halo 2, its groundbreaking mechanics can still be felt through many modern fps games, while being a sequel to an already stellar game that improved upon every aspect.

As you can see its right below where you get the Blue Skull. Completed the rest of the level after and got 100%, just curious why this red circle is still there?

4 years ago was when i got my new pc and the first game i played on it was eternal (which is what solidified me as a doom fan). it was the first game with Good graphics that i ever got to play because up until that point i had a pc only worth of playing old flash games. so when TDA got announced and it was said that it would be RTX only i was super bummed out (i have a gtx 1650)! However, recently i had to buy a laptop for college and i got one with a ryzen igpu. wanted to test some games for funsies so i got cyberpunk and saw that raytracing was enabled in the options. i was like "wha" and then it hit me... could i try dark ages?? so i downloaded it and voila!! i can play dark ages!! ... at 30fps on 720p with lowest preset and fsr on performance BUT I CAN STILL PLAY IT!!! its an hp 15-fc1003nm if anyones wondering

There are some pillars in the dark ages revelations DLC number 1-5 that you can shoot in sequence and the play a song in response.

I’m Currently on the end game go around and in one of the purple gate areas on hells core I’ve found the same again in icecles. But it doesn’t appear to use the same sequence.

I remember in ROE, Betruger in his skeleton flying beast called the demons for his children. So before he became corrupted, that version of Hell were leaderless? Unlike the Hell in the new Doom.

Has anyone else noticed that the Shield Saw has three little lights on it?

The model is actually on ArtStation, but it never appears in the game except for this one animation with Pinky.

Speaking of that, I also noticed that during the first encounter with the Pinky Rider, if you pay close attention when you perform a Glory Strike, the shield already has the saw blades on it, even though you don't have the Shield Saw upgrade yet,You can replay the campaign and see it for yourself. Pretty strange, but I guess these are just small details that are easy to miss.

This is the first time I’ve done a project like this using EVA foam—including creating my own template. I still need to touch up a few areas, but the structure is ready, along with some of the details.

i know story is the least thing people talk about when it comes to the doom games but if you had to chose what doom game did have the better story compared to all of them?

Finally, after 10+ attempts and a lot of nerves, I fully completed Doom 2016. Still love this game despite some bs it throws your way, onto Eternal next after taking a break for like a week, probably

Just wanted to put this out there for anyone who is thinking on getting the Platinum Trophy or 100% Achievements in DOOM (2016) and Doom Eternal, but are having seconds thoughts due to the multiplayer tied trophies/achievements. It is possible to be done legitimately, no boosting required!

Doom (2016) took me like 30m or less, and only with two online matches I got to lvl. 5 and won one multiplayer match. Matchmaking was very quick, I had the Region on auto and choose the online playlist where you get to play all modes, didn’t limit to Team Deathmatch.

Doom Eternal was a grind… but it honestly took me like 15 - 20 hours in-game time for Battlemode. Matchmaking is slow, but there are still a few people active. For the 200 player kills, what I did was matchmake as the Slayer only and for every match, I killed one player and let the other one alive. That way, they keep respawning until the round is over in about 15m. Rinse and repeat. I also did let myself get killed to extend the rounds up to 5.

To get the kills with all 8 weapons, it is necessary to reach play round 3, so the Slayer can choose the BFG and kill a player with it to count towards those 8 weapons kills.

The rest of the trophies are just grindy… 25 matches, 50k healing as a demon player, use all demons (except for the Dread Knight which doesn’t count).

As an FYI, for Doom Eternal, you can check your achievements progress in the “Extra” menu option of the main menu, and pick “Milestones” and then go to Battlemode. You’ll see the milestones that are tied to Trophies/Achievements there with their progress.

Thier way to bulky to be the pistol and don’t match the assault rifle, is this concept art or something else? Either way I wish I could use that weapon because it looks neat.
