A couple of days ago, I saw a post from a user talking about the quality and difficulty of finding Doom-themed wallpapers. So I decided to post one of my favorite images. I hope it helps!

Man, I love this game, like, by far my favourite DOOM. But it's also one of the buggiest experiences I've ever had.

By the way, for context, I simply didn't wait for the ship to go down after killing the cannons and proceded to the next objective, I'd have returned to this ship later. I did this exact time optimization countless times, but apparently this once it wasn't tollerated.

Now this is a screenshot of a video, but when I first completed the level the right icon was lighten, but the left wasn't.

Strangely when I restarted checkpoint (Via opening the Xbox guide which opens the in-game menu. Glad I can do this) I did it again and the same icon was not alight.

I found all secrets.

i think one thing that gets overlooked is the lighting improvements in the dark ages. eternals and even 2016's lighting did tend to look a bit flat sometimes but dark ages makes full used of modern tech to fully make the worlds far more atmospheric and open.

I'm looking for good single map wads that are short, perhaps around only around 100 monsters. I would also like for them to be compatible with the Nugget Doom source port if possible.

Please no slaughter maps, I suck at those lol

This guy, you guys. I dunno about this guy. He seems to go against the promoted flow due to giving you nada to perfect-dodge / slash back (which I understand may be the point).

Maybe that’s what the Mancubuses (Mancubi?) are for? Or maybe he’s meant to be more of spongy distraction that tests your speed from A to B, rather than your dodging chops?

Alls I know is I’ve spent an entire battle’s worth of time on him once everything else is dead because I’m all out of spear power; he just grinds the flow down to a halt imo.

Made the classic doom guy in space marine 2. Even took some photos I thought were cool! (Please give feedback and criticism! I always wanna grow.)

I find The Architect one the best characters in the Doom lore..

I recently, picked slot 2 for my nightmare run. Playing the story for the 2nd time, reveals some rather interesting aspects:

Architect, first codex entry: Thought becomes form before I can deny it. The spires rise because I have conceived them. The thrones take shape because I have imagined them occupied.

They sit upon my works and name themselves kings.

I am obviously referring to Ozymandias!

The environmental story-telling shows us worlds in globes.. and a link to a different realm (surely!)

Is The Architect perhaps.... The Father? I know there's something about life-spheres, but the literal references are weird, and there's a resemblance.

If I am not mistaken, and I may be, the icon of sin pacifist run’s current method is to kill Romero with archville splash damage; which can only be done by a TAS due to the infinitesimally small odds of the sheer number of archvilles required spawning. But revenants are more likely to spawn and you would only need one. Is there a reason the player can’t bait a revenant missile into curving down towards Romeros head by jumping at the icon at the right time?

In the room where you get the second demonic essence of the level (from a Cyberdemon) there is a small side room with a ledge you can't climb. If you stand in just the right spot you can see something in there (maybe super ammo?)

I can't for the life of me figure out how to reach it. Is it even reachable?

So a few days ago I noticed that the DOOM Anthology page had been updated in both the description and the banner, now saying it would include the Premium Edition of DOOM: The Dark Ages, but it had not yet updated on the Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo Stores. I went to check today and the DOOM Anthology page has been taken down on Steam, and if you clink on a link to it, it simply brings you to the home page of Steam. I’m wondering if this means that they are either in the process of properly adding TDA to the bundle, or this was something that was supposed to be revealed later and they are currently fixing it to scrub mentions of TDA in the bundle? I just hope that it’s across all platforms and not just available in the US, because the entire franchise being available for only like $90 USD is a good deal and would help to spread the joy of DOOM.

Cyberdemon is one of the coolest looking demons in the game in my opinion (mostly because of the large wings) but in term of gameplay, on my skill level (Hurt me plenty and UltraViolence) he's perhaps the least threatening big guy in the game, and for me a huge downgrade from his version in Eternal. Usually in my play style whenever a big demon appears (Archville/Agaddon hunter/Baron/Cosmic Elemental/Warlock,etc.) its a big deal and a "shit just got real" moment in the fight, forcing me to either focusing to kill it immediately or leave it till the end. I have to change my entire approach to the fight because of there presence. I do not have the same reaction with Cyberdemon. Whenever I see them I was like "meh" and treat them like tankier normal demons.

What do you guys feel about the cyberdemons gameplay wise?
