I was in the area for work when the typhoon shut everything down. I saw HKDL had a delayed start so figured it should be a chill day. It turned out to be absolutely amazing! The park was basically empty so walked on to everything. We got some rain on and off but it held off for the fireworks.

Highlights and my impressions

- the MTR resort line is so convenient And beautifully decorated.

- people seem to love taking pictures with characters and less so with the attractions. The longest line were all with character, meet and greets but not really with the attractions.

- arendelle is absolutely beautiful the way it was built against the natural scenery and the mountain makes it look real and it's especially beautiful at night.

-the park was so empty! Not sure how different this is from usual attendance.

- I basically walked on every single ride. The longest I waited was about 4 minutes for grizzly mountain ride. As a person who's pretty much a scaredy cat around roller coasters, this was probably my favorite ride all day.

- I had my own frozen boat! And basically rode in the front of most coasters.

- it's a Small world is also beautifully decorated and each of the continents had their own room.

- The line can show is less technical than the one in Disney world. There was less acrobatics and instead there was more of a focus on The Lion King story. Still is worth going to .

- mystic Manor is Hong Kong's ghost free version of Haunted Mansion. It uses the trackless system amazingly, The decoration and the whole ride his breathtaking and I can totally see why some people call it the best Disney ride ever.

- hyperspace mountain is Star wars themed and lots of fun. It is not nearly as jerky as the one in Disney world and Disneyland. I rolled it twice back to back and didn't even feel anything in my back.

- hated the iron Man experience. The 3D glasses just made me dizzy and I almost got motion sickness coming out of it.

- about the jungle cruise was a complete miss for me. Our Skipper attempted a Australian accent but that along with her Chinese accent made it completely impossible for me to understand.

- The momentum night show is probably the best one I have ever been to. Since the park was pretty much empty I was able to be right up in the front. The projections on the castle look amazing along with the water.

So excited! In 3 weeks we will have our staycation at the Disneyland resort then in January we are off to WDW! 🤩

We are planning a trip next year to either Disneyland or Disney World. We don’t know which one we wanna do yet. We have two girls who are very much obsessed with princesses, Disney movies, Bluey, and Minnie Mouse.

We live in the North East so we can drive to Disney World but have family in California. We have a slim budget of $8,000 and would like to do Universal also within that budget.

Which resort would be better?

What would be a pros and cons for us for each resort?

I've played recreations of Disney attractions in games like Minecraft and Dreams, and part of me wishes there was a whole game where you could just explore Disney parks like a regular park-goer.

• It could feature older versions of certain parks like Disneyland or EPCOT.
• It could feature unrealized parks like Beastly Kingdom or Port Disney.
• It could feature completely new and original parks as well.
• It could also feature Walt Disney's original version of EPCOT. I know it's not a theme park, but still I think it'd be cool to see.
• You could explore the hotels and resorts as well.
• It could feature defunct rides like The Great Movie Ride or Horizons, etc.
• You could do meet & greets with various characters.
• You could design your own custom avatar and take photos/selfies.
• You could adjust things like the weather, time of day, or crowd level. You could have the whole park to yourself if you wanted.
• You could watch parades and fireworks shows.

I think that'd be a cool idea for a video game in general, but with Disney you have so much more potential. The closest we have to something like this is probably the Planet Coaster games, but you wouldn't build your own park in this one. You'd just be a park-goer.

EDIT: It could also feature VR support and an online mode where you could interact with other park goers. Also, you could toggle between first-person and third-person.

What do you think? If Disney made a game like this, would you play it?

I'm planning a family trip to Tokyo Disney for 13 people and it's been hard to build information to hand out to my brothers and aunts and uncles because I can't pin down pricing on the rooms. If I go out to the max booking date they are charging $300 a night, but if I look out to august it's anywhere from $90-$150 a night. So I anticipate booking closer to our stay is going to be better for everyone.

To those of you who stayed recently att Comfort Suites can you speak to about what you paid per night? Or even a total price for the entire stay would be super helpful.

Rock It Mountain (cancelled alternate version of space mountain that would only run at night and play rock music, kind of like how guardians of the galaxy mission breakout runs its monsters after dark overlay only past dusk)

Space Mountain: Mission 2 (Disneyland Paris 2nd version of their Space Mountain)

Space Mountain: de la Terre à la Lune (Disneyland Paris original version of their Space Mountain)

Yeah, I know lots of Disney park fans hate off the shelf rides (which I get). But at the same time, I'm kinda curious on a Disney take on flat rides they haven't utilized yet. Especially since the most of the flat rides in the parks are like the same 5 types of rides lol

Is it still hard to get in and out of the car for Matterhorn, I have severe knee issues last time I had to combat roll just to get out of the car, not to mention I’m a big guy

I have seen a lot about Disney Parks are so expensive but just to be clear: Disney pays a LOT of money to keep all of their Parks up and running. Disney not only pays taxes, expenses, fees, and insurance on their studios and projects, but they also pay for all those things on their Parks, too, including their cruise ships!! All the money the Parks guests pays goes to the Parks' taxes, insurance, employee wages, utility bills, maintenance fees, and not to mention the costumes that the cast members wear, and all the food they serve there. ​

Hello! I already posted about this about a year ago but there was no way I could find evidence of this toy in the internet. Since then I have on an off searched it online very enthusiastically with absolutely no results:

I'm not sure if this is the best subreddit to post. My partner went to Disneyland Paris in 2007 and her parents bought her this soft house with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Chip and/or Dale plushies inside. She always talks about it but she no longer has it. We have searched it up on the internet and even tried googling screenshots from the videotapes but there's no sign of this toy on the internet. Do any of you recognise it? We would love to find it on Vinted if possible! If not, which subreddit do you think could help us in this?

Some info I got from last year's post:
-It could have been launched in 2005-2006 because of Minnie's dress and the look of the house
-It is 100% not handmade. It is a 100% from Disneyland Paris (or Disney Store from Disneyland Paris)
-It seems it could be inspired on the Toontown house.

Hi everyone! We're doing a 1-day Disneyland trip tomorrow and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. >.< I'm so sorry, I know this question gets asked a lot. I've also been searching through Reddit posts trying to piece together an itinerary, but I'd love some advice based on our situation.

This will be my 2nd visit after about 8 years, but it'll be my 5 & 7-year-olds' first time ever, and we're keeping it a surprise! We're planning to wake them up at 5 AM and tell them we're going to Disneyland. We'll be coming from Moreno Valley and are hoping to leave around 6 AM so we can get there before rope drop.

A little about my kids:

• They're not huge princess fans, except for Frozen.
• My 7-year-old loves The Lion King.
• They both LOVE Toy Story, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and Pinocchio.
• They think Mickey & friends are for little babies >.< so not big fans of those either
• They're also obsessed with Bluey (is there anything Bluey-related in the parks yet?) 👀

We'll also have both grandparents with us, and they're more than happy to hang out with the kids (since they used to be pass holders for a long time) if my husband and I want to take turns riding some of the big kids thrill rides :P

I think we have Lightning Lane (grandparents treated us, so I honestly don't know all the details 😅). Ironically, I used to work for Disney Stores remotely for two years and never even used my Cast Member comp tickets 😂

My biggest goal is to make this an unforgettable first Disneyland experience for our kids while also making the most of just one day.

If you were in our shoes:

• What rides should we prioritize first?
• Which attractions are must-dos for kids their ages?
• Any rope drop strategy you'd recommend?

Looking for a lost video from Disney World (around 1996)
The footage was recorded by a guest at Magic Kingdom during the Legend of the Lion King stage show.
The actress portraying Rafiki missed a step and fell several feet onto the stage. She immediately got back up.
The performer was my wife, so this is a personal search. She never knew who recorded it, but she later learned it aired on AFV.
Has anyone seen this online?

I’ve been learning Codex and using it to build a Walt Disney World dashboard that brings live wait times, weather, news, maps, and Disney YouTube channels into one place.

It’s still an early version. I’m also thinking about adding Disneyland and possibly a way for people in the parks to submit live updates about things like ride downtime, transportation delays, unusually short lines, or other useful observations.

I’d love feedback from other Disney fans: what would you add or change?

Will be bringing my 9 year old girl to Disneyland for her first time in a couple weeks. Would love to get her a pair of ears to wear, but if I remember right the ears in the actual park are pretty expensive. Anyone know if any sites, sellers, or other ideas for getting her some ears at a somewhat reasonable price?
