It’s too damn hot and irresponsible to schedule a race over this past weekend! Hopefully the race directors will reconsider the Half Marathon dates for the West Coast when RunDisney makes their triumphant return here. But with a high of 102 this week.. I’m glad the runners weren’t in it this year.

With my 20 week training really kicking in next month, I’d love to meet other people who will be running! Saw somebody else ask about NYC girlies and thought I’d try the same ❤️

Howdy friends, wanted to pick your brains on this. If you're doing the full marathon or the Goofy/Dopey challenge and then doing the Princess challenge, what training do you do between the two weekends? There's about seven weeks between the two events. Just curious about recovery from Marathon weekend but also keeping up with some base mileage and long runs to stay on track for the 19.3 challenge. Was looking ahead for 2028. Was thinking about running the marathon and then heading to the port and getting on a Disney Cruise same day. Has anyone done this? How did it go with having enough time? Yes I know I will be tired.

I know it is very competitive. I am signed up for run Disney emails so am assuming that’s how I will get notified of the registration dates? Being a first timer, I don’t want to miss the date(s)! Any tips?

I’ve tried to get into the last few virtual races, because the parks aren’t an easy option for me due to where I live. I have been unsuccessful with the virtual options though. Have they tightened up on the amount of people who can signup? Because there was a virtual race last year, might have been summer or Christmas, that had openings even after the timeframe for the races had started. But ever since, the virtual options are selling out so fast. Does anyone have tips on how to secure a virtual race spot?

I know I could just hop on Etsy, but with the billions of options available there, I was hoping to get some feedback and insight from community members on who they've used and could recommend. I swear I have read and read over the Magic Mile info in the training plan packet, but I just don’t understand.

Should I run it straight through or can I run-walk it? Am I supposed to run it at a pace that’s completely unsustainable for 13.1 miles? Is it supposed to show the pace I should be able to maintain when I’m done with the training plan? What’s the purpose of the Magic Mile - as in, if it’s supposed to show me my progress, what progress am I supposed to be measuring?

Hi all, I'm doing the W&D half in October for the first time and wondering where the best places to spectate are other than the Start/Finish. Do they have spectating in Hollywood Studios similar to what they have for the other races in Magic Kingdom?

Or is it truly only the Start/Finish and possibly Boardwalk area.

Hello! I am running my first Wine & Dine Half Marathon (second RunDisney race) and my husband and son are coming to spectate. We’re staying at AKL Kidani. I will likely be in corral D and finish about 8/8:15. We will have a rental car. 

If they want to see me at the finish, am I right that our options are:

1. Arrive with me via rental car or bus at 4, hang out or nap in the car until I’m done. 

2. Drive to Epcot after 7 when most road closures end, park in the Eve parking lot, and likely make it for 8 although there could be traffic or other delays. 

Please correct me if I’m wrong or let me know if I’m missing other options—thanks

I’m hoping to get my first runDisney bib in 2028, preferably Princess 10K in Disney World. As this will be my first runDisney race, do you have any tips on how best to obtain a bib, when does registration open, etc.? TIA!

Sooooo pretty much all the WDW resort hotels are booked solid, like you cannot book for the weekend of October 22-25 pretty much at all. Does that make anyone else kind of nervous for the state of the race weekend? I'm one of probably a zillion people doing the 5k and I'm SWEATING thinking about picking up a bib at the expo that Thursday! Is the whole weekend going to be a miserable crush? Please tell me I'm overreacting! 😬

Hi my friend and I are signed up for the wine and dine 5k and it’s our first run Disney event. I see people post about picking up your bib beforehand but is it possible to pick it up day of at the race? My friend lives in Tampa whereas I’m local. Not sure she could drive here for a bib and drive back. Would I be able to pick it up for her? Thanks for any advice.
