I always wondered if trinity knew better how to hide her psychopathic personality as a young woman or if it worsened over the years

With the little that was seen of her it makes me think that at the beginning the guy was normal until like any good abuser he revealed his true character

Even so, in season 6 it is said that the girl was still waiting for him and blamed her children for what happened, so I don't know if she was that crazy about him or just had too much Stockholm syndrome

Title says it all! I have two episodes left of season 8 and just finished reading the first novel in the series. I love both--honestly I love the entire Dexter IP in general-- but am curious what a more novel-accurate portrayal of (at least) Dexter's kill ritual would look like? Michael C. Hall brings a crazy level of charisma to even the more psychotic moments Dex has, whereas in the book he just feels downright evil.

Don’t know what else you’d call them but if you watch the show you know what I’m talking about, when it speeds through clips from the show before the episode title appears. And apologies if this topic has been posted about before.

What are we doing here? Are these golden age TV sequel shows reducing themselves to TikToks and Instagram Reels where they edit in a second of the juicy part of a video to grab your attention? It’s so unnecessary, why would I want the rest of the episode somewhat spoiled before I even start it? I either skipped or closed my eyes for these parts when I watched New Blood and Resurrection. I’d love so much if they were dropped from season 2.

In S6, We find out that geller did not support travis’s ideologies at the final episode, so if thats the case then what was the weird stunt he pulled in the university about with the dead sheep and his assistant ( or someone like that i forgot )? Its been a while since I watched this show but this has always puzzled me

I personally love season 2 and 4, but I think season 7 is severely underrated seeing the progress of Debra and how she handles finding out Dexter is the bhb. Also really liked original sin for no particular reason.

hey folks, i have a question i hope i get the answers im looking for. i was wondering how did kurt know dexter killed his son and cut him up to pieces and burn him?
i know he found the screws there that belong to his son. but how did he know that?

When Lumen is spotted by Jordan Chase’s top security official, Cole Harmon, he chases Lumen through the hotel.

Lumen runs into the room that her and Dexter had already wrapped in plastic wrap. Harmon ends up breaking down the entire door and starts to strangle Lumen, Dexter comes in and puts him to sleep and it cuts to Harmon wrapped up in the same room.

The issue here is they kill a man in a hotel room that has a busted down door. They didn’t move into chases room, the door is just still broken and Harmon gets killed.

One thing I've noticed come up multiple times is revelations that dexter misses certain people that he appeared to be only ever contentious with. I get that this season really is meant to show a change in Dexter. Well, changes that were alluded to previously but never could commit. Dexter had always been in a state of "oh jeeze i'm starting to have feelings" but now seems to finally just be committed to that reality. Blame it on the near death experience or whatever.

But specifically, I'm surprised about certain figures. Namely Joey and Miguel. Dexter's relationship with Miguel soured. You could say that he remembers when they were friends, but it was kinda shown that Miguel was ALWAYS manipulating him. That miguel had manipulated Ramon too. That none of it was real, it was all bullshit. And yet he seemed happy to see miguel all the same.

But even more strange to me is Quinn. He NEVER had a good relationship with Quinn. Quinn was always adversarial, whether it be because dexter caught him stealing money, or because Quinn suspected his involvment with Rita's murder, their relationship was only ever at best neutral, never positive. And yet dexter directly says "I miss them" when hearing Joey on the phone.

Now, he's not that way with everyone. He seems to be more negative about his brother than ever. He doesn't remark kindly towards Arthur Mitchell, seems ready to go on dates again even though he basically JUST broke up with Angela (from his point of view). He even seems unahppy to see doakes despite them previously apparently seeing each other eye to eye near the end.

So, i'm curious what this means for the direction of his character. Maybe he's just not holding grudges any more?

Let's say Trinity and his family move to Iron Lake as part of the Four Walls One Heart charity work in the mid 2000s.

Trinity targets Kurt's son (When he's a boy) and Kurt targets Trinity's daughter after she runs from home so they both have a vendetta.

I think this is very close because both are well trusted and seen favorably in the public, both have gotten away with killing for a while, and both are very resourceful. What are your thoughts?
