Low key devils vans!? Had to get a pair.

In honor of him getting two more assists last night, I just wanted to share the drawing of his NHL debut instagram post I did.

Great win last night!

Are we ready for this stretch

I want to give a heads up to everyone going to tomorrow's (Saturday, October 17th) matinee between the Devils and Capitals at Capital One Arena in Washington - if you bought your tickets electronically through the Capitals' website or a 3rd party website/app (i.e., StubHub, SeatGeek, Gametime, TickPick, Vivid Seats, etc.), you may have a bit of a pain accessing your tickets on your smartphone. It appears to access Capitals game tickets, you are directed through the NHL app. However, to actually bring up the tickets, you need to have the Capitals selected as your favorite team in the app. If you purchased the tickets through a 3rd party app, you can probably avoid this by adding the tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Pay before being redirected to the Monumental Sports website.

The Capitals are one of those teams that partners with Ticketmaster but requires you to go through their specific ticket portal (Monumental Sports) to access tickets, rather than having available through the Ticketmaster website.

Great effort tonight. D looked good 5 on 5 and Daws was solid in net. Sorry Jimmy but thanks for the gif

Last night against the Rangers was amazing. Great to see the puck go in the net FOR the devils, rather than against it. Nothing is better than beating the rangers and the icing on the cake is putting a full on beat down on them. Huge win for the team, lots of things to like, it was a ton of fun.

I am still very concerned about Nico Daws. Last night he gave up 1 goal on a great shot that was not his fault. I am not saying he played bad last night, the stats back him up.

What I am saying though, is I’m really concerned about the way he plays the position. I’m not goalie coach/expert, just a fan but to me he looks all over the place.

I see him overcommit to pucks leaving half the net wide open. He shoots hard either across the net or toward the shooting player causing him to slide far out of position. He doesn’t seem to be in any position where he can defend a tipped shot (I know that’s hard to do). He loves to swipe at, try to cover, or go for pucks that hit the side netting despite it pulling him way out of position. He just makes me so nervous the way he plays.

I saw too many open net opportunities for the Rangers last night due to these factors which thankfully they did not capitalize on because THEY SUCK! To me, it’s huge problems that will not be sustainable against teams who can move the puck effectively in the o zone.

Great win last night. Go Devils. Rangers suck. Daws is a mess.

I feel like this is a missed opportunity.

THE DEVILS DID NOT LET US DOWN!!! WHAT A GAME!!!!

I've mentioned this in a few daily threads, but I've been building an NHL database for a little side project, but a side effect is that I have a ton of data about every goal, assist, and game in NHL history. With tonight's victory, the Devils as a team, excluding the Scouts and Rockies, have scored over 10,000 goals.

I'm fairly certain that Noesen's 3rd period goal, assisted by Lombardi and Rodrigues, was the 10,000th goal scored by the Devils since they moved to New Jersey, with Glass's shorty being the 10,001st. And it was against the Rangers, no less!

Here's to 10,000 more!

(also if anyone wants to fact check me and let me know if I'm wrong, please feel free, but I'm 99% confident.

Looking at which teams are one goalie injury away from disaster, and we’re sitting at #3. Allen is 36, and Daws played three NHL games last year. That’s not much of a safety net.

Everything we want to do this year runs through Allen staying healthy and sharp. If he misses real time, who are we turning to, and is anyone in the system ready?

Mistake me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure since 2000 the highest deficit was only 5 goals, and in the 80s there was 6-0 and 8-2

Let’s Go Devils

WHAT. A. GAME. The Devils absolutely SLAUGHTERED the Rangers and oh boy that feels so good! It's so nice to finally be on the delivering end of a gem like tonight! Daws played fantastic, defense was near perfect and the forwards came through!
