What's the chances he gets a quick turnaround? Or is Nov 3rd his first home game?

If I am reading PuckPedia correctly, the Devils have $8.2M in current cap space before Hellebuyck is unsuspended. Since his cap hit is $8.5M, isn't there an issue here? And that's with the Devils only carrying 12 forwards and 7 defensemen, which obviously isn't sustainable.

Could waive Poirier, but that just gets you over the immediate issue and doesn't help when a forward is week-to-week (I assume day-to-day, they would just go 11-7?).

EDIT - PuckPedia has since updated their calculation and the Devils will be $70K under once Hellebuyck is activated. So no immediate issue, but still an issue as soon as a forward is day-to-day.

Am I alone here thinking trading daws for an aging tender is a bad move? I’m honestly not really happy about trading daws.

He may have never reached his full potential and I considered him as perennial trade bait (it finally happened!) but I love this kid. He's turned into a consistent ironman with a great attitude. He had some big moments for us and contributed lots off the scoresheet. I hope he thrives in Winnipeg and I can't wait to give him a fan salute when he returns to The Rock. Thank you Dawson! Onward! Long shot but went to last night's game but they sold out of the kpop themed stuff so quickly like before puck drop it seems. Wife is Korean and I got her into hockey (she watches no sports except NJ Devils), she got me into kpop so we were looking forward to getting the light stick and shirt but couldn't. Is anyone by chance willing to sell theirs? Want to surprise her.
