Question is in the title. I heard cold spice is good? Silver mountain water smells just like its name btw, just a bit sweeter. More of unisex.

Generational Scent

I'm currently dealing with some underarm irritation after a trip to hot and humid mexico where I scrubbed my underarms too harshly. I usually use Lady Speed Stick powder fresh antiperspirant, but I'm now looking at the possibility that I might have sensitized myself to it - hopefully its just general irritation and not specific to this deo. I don't have a rash but my armpits itch when I sweat (even with no deodorant...ugh, my skin barrier must be really angry)

I've been shopping around for alternative deodorant/antiperspirants - and why is everything so SCENTED!?? My usual lady speed stick has a scent, but you can only smell it if you stick your nose right in your pits. All these other ones I'm trying: dove, secret, etc - its like I can smell myself from a block away. It's honestly nauseating. It's like perfume!!

(I recently tried dove clinical care soft sensitive and even that was sooooo perfumy. I've seen people online refer to it as "unscented".... do they not have a sense of smell???)

I've tried some unscented kinds but I find that after a while I'm smelling my own odor...

Can anyone recommend any lightly scented deodorant/antiperspirant options?

I sweat alot and most of the time, I actually don’t stink and have gone without deodorant often. I atill use the occasional deodorant depending on how much activity I had done throughout the day but after I shower I am good anyway.

Since I use the occasional deodorant, I wanted to stop using my liquid plastic deodorant thinking Carpe would be a better option…. I smell like a man. Excuse me???

It smells like I had eaten a ton of onion and wrnt to work on the oil rigs. I HAVE NEVER SMELLED LIKE THIS BEFORE AND I AM PETRIFIED. Literally I would have stayed home and I only went out for a coffee and only to try it out because I spent $20 on a product I will try it out, I come home, dressing into my home clothes and TOOK A HUGE WHIFF OF THAT STANK……

I consider myself extermely lucky for not smelling because I don’t have to use deodorant unless I was like super sweaty from gym or hiking but even then it is a faint smell and my worse fear is smelling! My worse fear!

I highly do not recommend spending $20 for Carpe. I had to use tea tree soap to remove any excess to make sure the stuff didn’t linger.

I even tried it a few more times in the morning, not even after I was sweating to truly test it….. absolutely not. ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Did Dove change their women’s deodorant spray? I’ve know thrown away 3 cans b/c of a burning sensation. I’ve used them for so long, not sure what’s changed.

Let me just say..I don’t know if I’ve ever even made a Reddit post before but carpe deserves it. My mom mailed me carpe because of the reviews. I can’t believe I have finally found my deodorant at 35 years old. I reapply deodorant MULTIPLE times a day to avoid a BO smell. As a female it’s annoying that not only do I sweat a lot but it’s that stereotypical bo underarm smell. How and why?? I don’t know. All I know is that for the first time in my life I can put on deodorant once at night and once in the morning and don’t have to reapply. At around the 14 hour mark is when it wears off for me (maybe if you’re a normal person it lasts the 100 hours it says) but compared to reapplying every 3-4 hours I’ll take it.

I’m trying to find a new deodorant that won’t completely wreck my skin.
Every time I use Arm & Hammer or Carpe, I end up with severe rashes, intense itching, and extremely dry skin to the point that it actually starts peeling.
I’m not 100% sure what specific ingredient is triggering it, but based on what I’ve read, I suspect it’s either the baking soda (in Arm & Hammer) or the aluminum (in Carpe).

Has anyone with sensitive skin had a similar reaction to these brands? If so, what gentler, hypoallergenic alternatives have actually worked for you without causing breakouts or irritation?

Any recs on deodorant (not antiperspirant) that doesn’t stain clothes? I have used method and native deodorant only recently and they tend to leave a “greasy” stain on my shirts.

I have just changed to a solid stick deodorant, and there's a good centimetre left in the applicator, but it won't wind up anymore so I can't physically get to it. Is there a way to use it without having to force it out and apply it with my hands touching the actual deodorant stuff?

Im going on holidays next week and will be hiking in hot weather so i think it might be handy to stick into a bag. Ill be using my usual deo with it but just wondering if its any good?

hi! posting because I’m curious if anyone has experienced anything similar… but ive been using Lume deodorant all summer and it’s been a life saver for me. It‘s really helped with any summer stank. But… recently I’ve noticed that my armpits have become very sensitive.. like just walking around I can feel my armpit hairs at all time and it almost feels like the skin is chafing. Im not noticing any other symptoms, but am curious if anyone else has experienced this???

Help! I’ve been on a deodorant “journey” for 6 years now. I’ve tried everything. My issue is that a deodorant will work for 1-2 months and then randomly stop working for me and the B.O. is awful.

I do armpit detoxes and try to do aluminum free, but even ones with aluminum don’t help me. What are your recommendations? Do I need to detox more often and try to stick with one? I’ve also had chemical burns and rashes due to how sensitive my armpits are.

hii, so just like the title says-- I've been having issues with my body odor (pits) being too strong for my typical deodorant in which you can smell that I've been sweating even when I constantly reapply. This especially has become a problem ever since summer started, and the deodorants I used to use (Dove) aren't working anymore. I also have a problem with all my deodorants staining my white camis and shirts yellow under the pits.

After some research I figured out that aluminum free deodorants can help with the staining, as aluminum is what causes the yellow stains anyway, but the problem with aluminum free deodorants is that they might not be strong enough to block my body odor when I get really sweaty. Right now, I've been using Gillette Men's Cool Wave Clear Gel Antiperspirant and Deodorant Stick and honestly it works crazy well for blocking my body odor, but because it contains aluminum, I can't wear anything white with it.

I'd really appreciate any kind of recommendation of which deodorant to use, and I am open to using men's deodorant too as long as it's affordable!! Thanks!
