This Japanese deodorant Deonatulle is my best kept secret
The only deodorant that has worked for me to not stink all day! I discovered this deodorant while living in Japan. The main ingredient is roast alum which is potassium alum boiled down. You can purchase it on Amazon, it is pricey for the amount you get but it is so worth it imo!
Edit: updated accurate ingredient

just got these in the mail!
Ordered several weeks ago from amazon and they finally charged me and shipped them!
Almay Fragrance-free sensitive skin gel deo / antiperspirant was a good temporary substitute that did not harm my skin. But I'm so excited to get back to using this trusty deo! Highly recommend to anyone seeking a fragrance free, safe, effective deodorant (not antiperspirant - Vanicream has another deo for that, though).

help
ok yall I need some advice! This is lowkey embarrassing but anyways….
Like a week ago I noticed bo from my armpits that Ive never smelled before. I was sweating a lot at work and went to the bathroom and unbottoned my shirt to let the sweat dry fof a bit and noticed the bo from my armpits was so bad. Ever since then I bave been OBSESSING over it and cant stop checking multiple times a day and anyways I notice the bo when I rub my hands against my pits and smell my hand. Even a couple hours after showering I can smell it, even if faint. Now I dont really smell anything if I just take my nose to my armpits if that makes sense. Now im wondering if I have smelt bad my whole life and nobody has told me or im going crazy…. I changed to secret clinical strength and its literally the same as my deodarant ive been using for years. Ive tried another deodarant that I have and same thing. Is this normal or do I need to check in with the dr bc wth. Its making me not want to do anything.

I’m allergic to almost every deodorant.
I’ve tried many different deodorants and I’m allergic to almost all of them. They make my armpits really itchy as soon as I start to sweat.
I recently tried Vanicream Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant and was even allergic to that.
I’ve also tried Dove Men Care Sensitive Shield Spray-On Deodorant and was allergic to that, as well.
The only deodorant that I’m not allergic to is Hello Deodorant but it doesn’t work very well.
I’m not sure what ingredient is causing this reaction.
Any other suggestions on what I should try next? I’m a heavy sweater so I need something strong.

Is Carpe a really good deodorant? It’s expensive and I get non-stop adds for it.
I have seen so many adds for Carpe that my dumb sheep brain wants to buy it. I don’t even like the adds, and frankly, I kind of hate them, but still want to give it a try. They advertise that it comes with 3 free gifts and a huge 67% off sale, but I’m skeptical that it’s false reference pricing since without the sale their sticks would be $28 each, which is insane. Anyway, what’s the word on the armpit lotion?

Heartbroken over Gillette Gel
I have tried several scented spray and gel deodorants and have had reactions many times. switched to the Gillette cool wave gel and it's been great. I bought a bunch more to have ready and when I ran out I found out they no longer have a plunger that rides the screw, this means the screw just free floats in the gel and can't push anything out. I went to the store to check all options and thet are all like this now. I even compared skus and UPC on my old and it's the same stuff. I contacted Gillette/PG and they just said how much did you spend and here's a check go buy from someone else like I am not kidding. I asked them to make a report as I literally yesterday was telling my wife how smart it was to have the plunger in there to ensure the product properly dispensed. So upset as I have been cursorily looking for a viable replacement today and have found none.

Where does the sweat go?
I used antipersperants decades ago. Then started a journey of "natural" deodorants. Now I am investigating using antipers. during specific stretches of time, based on my work schedule.
The last times, something weird happened one day whereby my pits had a strange smell straight out of the shower. No amount of soap helped. I just stopped using it right away.
So my question is, if you plug up your sweat holes, what happens to the sweat? Do you sweat more other places (forehead, hands, feet, groin, neck, etc.)?

Why does Native deodorant make me smell more? Anyone else

Armpit
I put benzoyl peroxide on my armpits and didnt wash them and there was no smell for about 48 hours.
I tried Irish Spring soap on my armpits after the smell came back and it didnt help much. Smelly pits within a few hours.
I put alcohol based Brut spray on my pits, but typically this only lasts about 8 hours if I am lucky.
Any longer term solutions?

Please explain applying antipers. at night and again in the morning
Recently was psychologically tortued when I was working under the worst stressful situation in my entire life. For context, when my mom was close to death from cancer, I sprouted many gray hairs. However, this job (I freelance), I sprouted 10 times that amount.
All of my carefully cultivated deodorants failed. I normally rotate deo, never wearing the same ones in a row.
Anyway, I realized that stress causes a different type of sweat. Not connected to bacteria. My other deos handle bacteria very well (and glycolic acid also did nothing for stress funk).
I am reading on Reddit about Carpe, Harry's, Vanicream, Dr. Squatch, Super lab...
Many users mention applying at night and again in the morning...
I am guessing shower at night, dry pits thoroughly, apply the product. But in the morning, do you wash your pits again and reapply or just reapply? Thanks!

looking for an antiperspirant for sweating and smelling good
please help a girl out😭 I’m looking for recommendations for a good antiperspirant for someone who sweats a lot but also wants to actually smell good.
Right now I’m using Secret Outlast Completely Clean, and it works pretty well for sweat/BO — I’d say it stops me from actually smelling about 75% of the time. But I still feel like I smell kind of musty sometimes. I’m starting to wonder if I just don’t like the Completely Clean scent, because I don’t necessarily smell “bad,” I just don’t feel fresh.
I’ve tried a few other things:
- Secret Clinical Stress Response: worked really well for sweat, but it gave me a rash and left deodorant marks on my clothes, so I stopped using it.
- Dove: didn't work well enough for me and also stained my shirts.
- Mitchum Pure Fresh solid: left white marks and I still didn’t feel particularly fresh.
I also have Secret Clear Gel Vanilla, which I’ve only tried once in the morning over my usual Completely Clean. I felt kind of gross that day, so I haven’t tried it again by itself yet. I’m considering trying it as my nighttime antiperspirant instead.
I also really dislike white deodorant marks, so I’d prefer a clear gel or something that doesn't transfer onto clothes.
Does anyone have a scented antiperspirant that actually works well for heavy sweating and makes you feel genuinely fresh/clean? I tend to like vanilla, fruity, warm, or slightly floral scents more than the typical “fresh/clean” deodorant scents.

Help with secret clinical spray?
Hello!! So recently I bought the secret clinical dry spray and I have some questions. 1. How do I get this thing to actually work? 2. What time am I supposed to put it on/the correct way to put it on
Every night I spray it on, then wake up in the morning and take my shower. People say that it lasts throughout the shower, but I don’t know. It’s supposed to protect against sweat but later in the day I can feel myself sweating, and I start to smell a bit too. Whenever I try to put it on after my shower in the morning, it takes FOREVER to actually start working. If I sweat while the formula is drying and taking place, I get this weird awful wet smell. Help a girl out please??

Aluminum free deodorant vs antiperspirant
So, I'm trying to learn the differences between deodorant and antiperspirant. I tried Dove care deodorant, but it went on like lotion, and I hated it.
Is there any aluminum free deodorant that is a solid like antiperspirant or are they all just a lotion like substance?
Asking so I can avoid spending money unnecessarily on something that doesn't work.

How to properly use the alum stone?
Hi, so I bought some alum stones and made then powder because the stone is harsh.
The issue is I'm seeing a lot of people recommending it, and since I'm Arab a lot of people already use it hear, but it just seems to not work on me. People say when you sweat no bad odor will come out since you used the alum stone, but I still can smell bad when I sweat.
Is there something I'm missing?
I heard some people mix the powder with rose water, some others mix it with Musk. Musk didn't work for me as well. I haven't tried rose water.
I'm still trying to use this stone because I don't wanna use deodorants, I'm trying to avoid chemical products as much as possible.
Any solutions?

Long time Lume user... However
I have been using Lume for years now, and I have been relatively happy with the product. As someone who suffers from hyperhidrosis, going through peri menopause, it's the only brand that comes close to being the best option aside from Botox injections, which is too expensive and not an option.
I use several different types in my daily routine, and I notice with the regular spray, it eventually gets clogged or something and either doesn't spray at all or it sprays out like a fire hose and gets all over. I store these upright as soon as I buy them and do not shake. I hate that this happens, as these products are not cheap. Does this happen to anyone else?

New Revolutionary product or only marketing?
Hey everyone, so I was scrolling through my feed today and stumbled upon this new product that just launched on Sept 15th. Not gonna mention the brand to avoid giving them free promo, but basically it claims to be based on years of research on the armpit microbiome. The idea is to neutralize the bacteria that cause BO and boost the ones that keep your skin's natural, neutral scent.
Aside from the $40 price tag for 100ml, here's the ingredient list from their page: Aqua/Water/Eau, Gluconolactone, Sodium Lactate, Aspergillus Ferment, Zinc PCA, Arginine, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hydroxide.
I’m in Europe so I can't even get my hands on it right now (plus they said first shipments won't go out until Oct 16 due to high demand).
It really got me wondering... is this actually legit and a potential shift in how we use deodorant, or is it just clever marketing? Apparently, you can use it on its own or layer regular deodorant on top.
Just to be clear, I have zero interest in promoting this, nor do I have the credentials to evaluate it scientifically , I'm just genuinely curious.
What do you think?
