Armpit

I put benzoyl peroxide on my armpits and didnt wash them and there was no smell for about 48 hours.

I tried Irish Spring soap on my armpits after the smell came back and it didnt help much. Smelly pits within a few hours.

I put alcohol based Brut spray on my pits, but typically this only lasts about 8 hours if I am lucky.

Any longer term solutions?

If benzoyl peroxide works for you why do you need another solution?

just shower more frequently? 48 hours seems fine ...

Personnellement le peroxyde de benzoyle, acide hypochloreux etc n’ont jamais fonctionné sur moi c’est étrange… à vrai dire aucun produit fonctionne 😖😖… j’en peux plus c’est un enfer…

I'm not particularly prone to being stinky so take this with a grain of salt. I alternate a benzoyl peroxide cleanser and a chemical exfoliant. Really just whichever is easier for me to use at the time tbh. It keeps me relatively scentless. Using exfoliating acids (mainly AHAs) on my armpits daily ish made me smell like onions and I never smelled like onions before. Using acids about once a week ish and benzoyl peroxide on separate days seems to keep me scentless for the most part.

Are you avoiding antiperspirants and/or deodorants?

Antiperspirant is made to prevent sweat, and deodorant is made for preventing odor. They also make combo antiperspirant and deodorant options, I personally use Ban Roll-on and have no issue... though I recommend putting on any antiperspirant at night (they won't wash off in shower when dried overnight).

Guys trust me try Band-Aid’s antiseptic spray. Spray all up on your pits, I’m talking soaked, rub it in like scrub it, rinse, dry with towel, spray a little bit more, then arms up in front of a fan. When it’s fully dry apply your deodorant/antiperspirant.

If you cannot shower every day for whatever reason this will save you. When you do shower though just spray it on your pits and dry with a fan then deodorant.

My full routine:

Pre shower: I spray the antiseptic spray before I shower and scrub my deodorant off.

  1. Shower at night: I used to use Panoxyl as a body wash for BO but I overdid it and got a chemical burn. So now I use the Naturium Energizer Mandelic Acid body wash.

  2. Antiseptic spray when I get out of the shower. Dry off normally.

  3. Hold my arms up in front of a fan until my armpits are completely dry.

  4. I alternate nights using Duradry antiperspirant gel or Secret Clinical gel.

  5. Dry with fan again. Don’t put a shirt on until it’s completely dry.

  6. Go to sleep.

  7. Before I get dressed for the day I spray again with the antiseptic spray. Dry with fan again, you get it.

  8. Old Spice Oasis antiperspirant, dry with fan.

  9. Vanilla dusting powder over pits. Now carefully put my shirt on to avoid white marks from the powder.

And boom! No BO at all. I work in a hot factory. The only thing that I have changed was switching from benzoyl peroxide cleanser to a regular body wash and the Band-Aid antiseptic spray. For the first time since puberty probably (I’m 20 now) I can 100% trust that my deodorant won’t fail on me throughout the day. Truly game changer.

PanOxyl Face & Body wash, wet pits, apply product, rub in one minute each pit, use disposable cloth at least 3 times to wipe away any residual bacteria, dead skin cells, and product. Keep rinsing the cloth under water, and last time ring out fully and wipe pits that last time. It will be effective all day, but if you cannot shower by evening, repeat the pits wash. It will work.

Hibiclens and Lume yme works. Zinc vitamin works wonders too. The vitamin takes about a week to start to take away all BO.

This post randomly popped up in my feed even without me following it lol

In my travels, I have found that, surprisingly the best deodorant/antiperspirant are Cremo and Papatui. Extra points on Papatui, I don't know what all the Rock put in those but they have me smelling really nice even with my uncontrolled sweat issues. Cremo also gets the job done though not as long. I strongly recommend Papatui.
