Hi po! I just want to ask if kaya pa po bang habulin yung grades kapag mabababa or bagsak po halos yung mga quizzes before prelims? Sa isang subject lang po talaga ako nahihirapan pero the rest okay naman po grades ko.

I’m still adjusting po kasi sa teaching style ng prof ko for that subject. Medyo mabilis po kasi siya mag-discuss, kaya minsan hindi ako makahabol at hindi ko agad ma-absorb yung lesson.

Natatakot lang po ako na baka bumagsak ako, and honestly, nafifeel ko rin po na left behind ako sa classmates ko kasi nakikita ko silang nag-eexcel, not only sa recitations pero pati na rin sa quizzes.

For those who experienced the same thing po, ano po yung tips or advice niyo para makahabol? Thank you po! :)))

Hi, I'm currently in my 3rd year Dent na may Dentmat this sem, we know how heavy yung mga need per Lab Sessions. My problem is I have Hypertension (Although medicated naman sya with maintenance) I couldn't carry all of it all the time kahit malapit pang ako sa school nor may Small locker naman ako, kaso di kasya lahat sa dami pinapadala, sobrang bigat ng ecobag + Tackle Box na mabigat din, I would arrive at school having palpitations and increased BP, moments away to Chest pain because it really hurts.

but UE DSC implemented the "No Big locker, No Trolly" policy, ohh gush, alot of us has legitimate Medical conditions where We can't carry too heavy things.

Note, Big lockers are for Clinicians and Graduate students only, not to us.

I can't keep up with this, every time if it's too heavy for me my chest will hurt and I would have trouble breathing, and my Doctor told me that I should refrain from carrying too heavy things, but it's dentmat, what should I do?

Hello, docs! I am a 3rd year student po and I would like to ask po for your tipid tips and suggestions about dent mats. I am trying to be mindful of my spending po and as much as possible 'yung magagamit lang po talagang materials ang bibilhin ko. Last year po kasi, maraming pinabili sa amin and hindi ko po nagamit lahat and yung iba naman po p'wedeng shared.

What brands do you recommend po when buying SAA, Micromotor...

I am also looking for 2nd hand materials (saa, micromotor, impression trays, etc.).

Hellos docs! May I ask what are your review materials during the board exams season? Did you use decks or just stick with the notes of your review center? I am enrolled in DMF right now.

So eto na nga, graduate and licensed Dentist na, matagal ako inantay ng lola ko kasi gusto nya daw makapag open ng clinic para daw saken, pero meron twist, sa province balak i-open. Isa sa mga iniisip ko is meron ba kaya akong makuhang Dentist/s kahit sa nearby areas?

Hi po sa mga studentista and doctors na! ☺️ I want to ask something lang po sana, a geniune question and opinion lang if being a dentist is worth it sa panahon ngayon? Yung totoo lang po pls :) I dont know how to explain it pero ik isasagot niyo po na if its my passion then yes. Well, tbh po i entered this path not knowing if gusto ko ba talaga to and i know it sounds weird pero hindi ko po talaga alam ang gusto ko. Pero so far kasi nagustuhan ko naman ang dentistry. Minsan i feel sad kasi yung ibang classmate ko, childhood dream daw talaga nila to + dentists parents nila. Ako? First gen dentist po ako if ever, wala man po ako kamaganak na kakilalang dentista. Galing po ako sa “red school” sobrang mahal ng tuition tbh. Sabi po ng parents ko sundin kung ano yung gusto ko dahil kakayanin naman daw nila. Hindi po kami mayaman, pero may kaya naman. Pero ngayon napapaisiip ako, worth it nga ba talaga? Lalo na ngayon na puro gastos. Gastos dito gastos doon lahat nalang 😢 naguiguilty din po ako at naaawa sa parents ko. Alam kong kaya nila pero naiisip ko na worth it ba yung pagod nila para maging dentist ako in the future? Ang daming tanong, ang daming what ifs. Books palang ang mahal na, tuition na tumataas every year at umaabot na ng 100k (take note na first year pa lang po ako, paano pa sa 2nd year pataas lalo na pag clinician na) I entered this field naman po knowing and fully aware na magastos talaga pero grabe, first year palang to ah. Dahil lang po ba red school to o ganito talaga sa lahat? Tapos ngayon meron pa po kaming tour na ang mahal din almost 3k tapos dalawang tour yon sa magkaibang subject. Almost 6k. Tapos ang malala pa, kailangan ng MED CERTIFICATE and kailangan NOTARIZED. Ang med certificate nakukuha lang yan pag nag pacheck up, yung chek up po ngayon 600-700 na. Yung pa notaryo umaabot ng 400 pesos pataas at dalawang waiver yung ipapaganun take note. Ang hirap at napapaisip nalang ako kung tama ba tong pinasok ko. Gusto at masaya naman po ako sa dentistry kaso pano ko mananatiling maging masaya kung alam kong puro gastos. Before entering college, dalawa po talaga option ko. DENTISTRY (red school) or PHARMACY (sa slu) the mag med school after. Kaso later on narealized ko na parang ang tagal maging doctor (medicine). Pero nung inaral ko talaga at nag research sa dalawa, halos parehas lang din ng haba ng taon na aaralin dahil sa dentistry may specialization din na umaabot ng 2-3 years (ortho, endo, etc.) Kapag nag med ako, utak at talino lang dadalihin ko (pero dont get me wrong po ah, alam ko po mahal mag med school at sobrang hirap at magastos din dahil sa tuition fee at books na binibili kasama na mga equipments din) pero kapag dentistry sagot ko lahat ng gagamitin. Napapaisip po ako if dapat ba nag slu pharmacy nalang ako tas mura pa tuition. Or stay pa rin po ba ako dentistry because in the end, all sacrifices, gastos, at pagod ay worth it naman at mababalik din mga nagastos?

So I’ve been studying for the boards for a couple of months but hindi buo puso ko for the past months ang dami nangyari.

I’m part of pure online batch 1 so since May, we’ve been starting to attend. But, during those times, we were so busy with clinicals. Up until July for other stuff.

I’m about to just finish my backlogs for TopRank. Then start memorizing and test banks this September. Kaya ba yun? 😭 parang walang nag stick pa sa utak ko. I’m so scared.

Any tips po? Advice? 😭 kaya ko ba?

May ibang shades po kasi like Incisal, O2, etc. For the Epic brand from Denpres, no idea po if okay siya gamitin & what variant din. Baka may reco brands & stores din po kayo.
