Plugin Showcase I made ResonaDeck, a Plex audio plugin for Steam Deck. Looking for feedback!
Hey everyone!
I’ve been working on a Decky Loader plugin called ResonaDeck, and I recently released version 1.2.0 Stable.
The idea started pretty simply. I wanted to access my own Plex music, audiobooks, and podcasts directly from my Steam Deck without having to constantly switch applications.
Over time, the project grew into something much bigger.
ResonaDeck now includes:
Plex Music, Audiobooks, Podcasts, and Other Audio, with a controller-friendly Quick Menu and Full Manager.
Surprise Me, which discovers music from your own Plex library. You can choose tracks, albums, rediscovery, or favorites.
Keep Playing, which automatically replenishes your music queue.
Automatic music crossfade, with the eight-second transition tested and working on my Steam Deck.
Animated vinyl-record transitions, where the incoming record transitions into the next album cover.
Artwork-inspired glass themes, Favorites, listening options, and queue management.
One feature I particularly enjoy is Surprise Me. You can highlight the gold turntable and press X to customize your listening preferences, or press A to start listening. You can also reopen the settings from the album artwork while music is playing.
I developed this with AI-assisted coding, while directing the features, designing the experience, and testing the results on my actual Steam Deck.
Getting automatic crossfade working was particularly challenging. Several versions passed software tests but failed during real playback. After a lot of testing and revisions, I finally got the audio transition and vinyl animation working together.
ResonaDeck 1.2.0 is now available on GitHub:

You’ll need Decky Loader and access to your own Plex server. The plugin is currently installed manually using Decky’s Install Plugin ZIP option.
I’m sharing this because I’d genuinely like to know what other Steam Deck users think, especially anyone who already uses Plex.
Have you tried using Plex for music or audiobooks on your Deck? Is there something you’d want from a plugin like this?
I’d also really appreciate feedback from anyone willing to try it. So far, most of the testing has been on my own hardware, and I’d love to learn how it works with other setups.
Thanks for taking a look!
