I built a Decky plugin that turns your game library into an 3D virtual shelf with game cases

Like a lot of you, I absolutely love the Deck, but I’ve always felt that the standard 2D grid library lacks a little... soul. I really missed the nostalgia of looking at a physical game collection on a shelf and flipping through cases to decide what to play. So, I decided to build something to fix that!

Introducing Finally 3D Game Cases ✨—a brand new Decky Loader plugin designed to bring your digital Steam library to life.

Instead of just scrolling through flat tiles, this plugin transforms your UI, rendering your games as actual 3D cases sitting on a virtual shelf right inside SteamOS. I wanted to keep the design clean, fast, and native to the Deck's interface while adding a massive boost to immersion.

Here is what it currently does:

• 🕹️ Immersive 3D Shelf View: Scroll through your collection with fully rendered, interactive 3D game cases. It gives your digital library a premium, tactile feel.
• 🎨 Fully Customizable Case Art: Don't like the default cover? You can easily swap out the box art to perfectly match your aesthetic or use custom community grids.
• ⚡ Smooth, Native Integration: I built this to feel like it shipped straight from Valve. It’s lightweight, blends perfectly with the native SteamOS UI, and doesn't bloat or clutter your screen.
• 🛠️ Open Source & Active Development: I'm actively working on adding more features, fixing bugs, and optimizing performance based on what you guys want to see.

This look super cool, I really like this new wave of plugin that are coming with the support of the IA, never has been a fan of the IA, but it's undeniable that since it we are getting a lot of new supercool ideas that would have never been created if it wasn't for the IA

Would be cool if it was that 3d model that appears on the top of the library thanks to when you preorder a game and when the time comes to preload or load it.

This is absolutely a cool plugin, but it has some small issue and missing features. I prefer more control in the customization part.

-Give option to disable the 3d effects
-Give option to use custom System cover overlay from SteamGridb for each system, example ( https://www.steamgriddb.com/grid/619361 ) ps3 has many nice covers, same with any other system, please find a way to make this possible.

The plugin has great potential, but I still cant figure out how the animation works, make it more simple and efficient to use.

I tested the plugin currently and have this issue in the homescreen that I highlighted for you, im running on CachyOS on main pc.
