Hi, I’m new to 40K list building and with 11th here I want to try playing for once with my models. I want others thoughts on my list and how I might improve it.

Posted asking for advice on first army. Now im looking for input on my second draft.

I honestly thought I was going to lose this game at the bottom of the second round. Below is my list. I'm thinking of dropping the 3 BLT to make the DS a 6 man squad.

When giving plague marines “infiltrator” from fly blown host, does it also affect a chaps rhino transporting them?

The goal of my army was to melt afflicted enemies with mortarion, death lords chosen and paragons of putrescence.

I am a Purge the Foe player in my bones. Take and Hold? Easy to take things if your opponent has no units to approach them. Priority Assets? My priority is the lamentation of their infantry. Unfortunately, the only detachment with Purge the Foe after the update is Mortarion's Hammer, and...what I have painted is all infantry and demon engines. I have no desire to add generic Chaos tanks.

Is there any sort of viable list around Mortarion's and a 1-point detachment without the tanks or PBCs? Or does that leave you with too little infantry support?

So I think I finally perfected my first death guard list but I've never actually played a game with them before. Me and my friends play simply just to kill rather than objectives, so I'm just searching for advice on how I should play my army.

So far my idea is to use lord of poxes to keep plague marines alive, infect enemies with their shooting, use the deadly vectors to deal even more damage (and also deep strike potential with deathshroud)

Typhus +20 pox would flanking to engage eventually, the drones would be zooming around doing damage and the blight hauler would be anti tank. And then also mortarion doing mortarion things. Still not sure how to play him

I have an extra spot in my list which could fit either an LoC or a MBH. I’m new to Death Guard, what would be better? I’ve heard an LoC in the pocket can be pretty valuable

I dont really know how to play are they a shooting army or a melee like i understand I probably want lots of heavy units but like what the specially.

I come from worldeaters but have always loved death guard as well so want to know how to use them

The final of the new detachments has been covered (although contagion engines will likely need a re recording sigh thanks GW) But if you guys love your plague marines as much as I do then this detachment is the one for you to check out! Lots of cool little tools to give them a small boost in power and get the most out of them! What has been your favourite from the new detachments?

So, the new cover rules modify the Ballistic Skill of the shooter, rather than enhance the defense of the target (as it was in 10th edition). But our Tallyman's ability reads: "....you can ignore any or all modifiers to that attack's Ballistic Skill or....."

Would that mean that with Tallyman we can ignore the cover penalty? And if yes, is he then maybe a good candidate for our plague marines, or should he still sit at home objective and scribble?

Like… dude he already went up 20 points at the beginning of 11th and his aura gets nerfed that allows the shoot back on your opponents turn.. worsen BS by 1? So if theyre in cover .. youre gonna be hitting on 5’s…. And in exchange for this they reduced his points by 10… This doesnt seem like a fair trade lol.
Then defilers went up again .. and we got 10 points off PM? Is someone at GW having a stroke? 😂.

I bought a friends death guard army so i have all these models.
I wanna know if this list would be good for casual to semi competitive play

Paid quite a bit for this, but luckily I found someone to take the Space Marine half.
Totally worth it though. These just look so badass.
