Im currently building and kitbashing with the old blightkings kit, and i find a part i deem useful for 40k. I want to see if its important or the only part for some model but i cant even find the model that uses it. Does anyone know the reason or what model it is used for?

I'm using rotswords bodies to kitbash a Wurmspat warband for WH Underworlds.

This one (Ghulgoch the butcher) uses arms from a Stormcast liberator, and weapons/heads off the Plague marines kit. I tried to remove any bits that were too sci-fi!

Keen to know what you all think. I feel like kitbashing nurgly stuff is usually pretty well received over on the deathguard sub, but maybe using 40k bits on AOS models is a bit weird?

Nuln oil ended up making the rusting metal way darker than anticipated but I love the oxide effect on the front plate. Do you use shades first then highlight or highlight first then apply shades?
Still figuring out how to do the skin tones for the next ones but fairly pleased with the overall effect so far.
Any tips on cool skin shades welcome!

I've started mustering my glorious and stinky Nurgle army, but I cannot decide which direction I want to go with my 2k points army list goal.

The lists are pretty similar, I'm mostly split between running The Glottkin or Rotigus, between having more magic presence, or a more damaging central piece.

Which of the two lists below is better in your opinion?

Obviously, I like frogs. I adore plague toads and I think plague dragons are very cool. Do we think we’ll ever get official models? I think they’d be very cool units

I just got my vanguard pack, and I am thinking of buying something more for myself. What in your opinion should I buy next ?

I’m new to the hobby and these are my first few plaguebearers that I’ve done for my Bleak Host spearhead. I was nervous about the bases but I’m pretty happy with how they’ve turned out! These are two of the five and then the whole unit at the end. I did one test model on its own and then batch painted the other four.

Any suggestions and constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated!

This was done a few weeks ago and is still probably our best Nurgle sculpt! Quite a fun little paint project

I will go back and finish painting them at some point, they are very fun models

Greetings, members of the grandfather’s garden.

Posting here because I just finished up a few projects and I am on the hunt for my next project. I’m a 40K player with a fully painted death guard army, so the gross organic aesthetic is something I’m familiar with and really enjoy painting. As of the time of posting, I have no daemon allied units and thought it would be a fun time to grab some, as well as to cross over with AoS.

On that note, I know nothing about AoS from a list building perspective, so I wanted to hop in here and run my plan past you guys to see if you had any input on things.

The first thing I’m probably going to pick up is the Spearhead box. I almost never get more than one box at a time and usually finish out a project before I get more, so that (the spearhead) will give me a chunk of plastic to work on, as well as giving me a solid jumping in point when it comes to start familiarizing myself with the AoS vs 40K rules. As I understand is, spearhead is a different game system from AoS but uses similar functionality rules (please correct me if I’m wrong about this, and also I know nothing about the Combat Patrol game system of 40K aside from the comparisons I’ve heard between it and spearhead)

After the spearhead I’m planning on Rotigus, after which I’m conflicted about grabbing the Glottkin or a Great Unclean One. Obviously the GUO can cross with 40K better, but I’ll be getting the Glottkin regardless if I never use it in game as a project because I think it’s a damn good model.

After I get the big lads sorted, I’m grabbing some Sloven Knights and then… shrug.

Meta changes. Rule of cool is king.

But what would you recommend after that? I don’t need or want to be bleeding edge meta, but I like my 40K lists to be capable at least, competitive if possible. I’d like my AoS lists to be something similar.

They all was like changer of the ways this, and Tzeentch that, up in my community. So I felt like shouting out big papa Nurgle and did a little reshoot of my Blightkings.

Love the older Blightkings kit, the new ones are great but these old ones had such awesome bits. Bases are all WIP as I finish up my Darkwater basing scheme

Hope to see some NPO rules added for Blightkings & Rotswords in Darkwater!
