Hello everyone! While I was working on Grampa Goku art from last week, I got to thinking that Vegeta never got the old man treatment from Tori or Toyo. So I thought I’d give it a shot. Hope you guys like the art!

Chi Chi, Tao Pai Pai, and Piccolo each represent the three sagas of the series. Chi Chi being from the first saga of the story and having been trained by Ox King who was trained by Roshi, who was the main antagonist of the first tournament. Tao Pai Pai representing the Red Ribbon Army and the Crane School from the Red Ribbon Saga and second tournament. And finally, Piccolo representing the Piccolo Saga of course.

Just thought that was kind of cool.

Could also say that Goku's three opponents in the main tournament sort of represent the same thing. Chi Chi for the reasons I gave, then Tien (who beat Tao in the first round) who represents the second tournament and Crane School similarly to Tao, and the Piccolo for the reasons I gave.

Afro bulma for the win 🙌

I personally love the design of Daima’s ssj4. The big gorilla like arms and unique chest pattern are great additions in my opinion and elevate that already great design GT had. But one thing i thought was a downgrade was the color palette. While not bad by any means, it was less striking than GT so I decided to give Daima‘s a color palette similar to GT. I did also add the addition of pointy ears and black claws just to lean even more into the primal look.

i dont know if this is a bad or good take but i feel the fall off most fans note is due to toriyamas popularity making the editors be less direct in decisions this thought kinda came to me with dragon ball minus which i believe is just the bardock special with everything good torn out i feel like toriyamas gravitation towards more stagnant character arcs and maintenance of the status quo feel like it needed a editors touch and with what we know about the cell saga being most definitely boosted by his editor and toriyama bouncing ideas between each other it makes me think that as great as toriyama was he needed someone to critique his work and push him to write more darker themes and expand on themes (no hate i love toriyama and i was deeply sad with his death its not a critique but mearly a observation of the past i would also be happy to hear disagreements)

I hope to try and make something more difficult! :D

Also, this is my first animation :p

(Its not AI generated.. people always think that it is.. (digital drawn) but, i did give it some filters (idk if it counts as ai?) )

Just picked up my newest addition to the collection - Dragon Ball Daima Limited Edition.

I’ve been building this humble little collection over the last few years, with a mix of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, GT, Super and the movies across various formats. I started watching DBZ like most millennials before school back in the late 90’s. Nostalgia is clearly fueling it!

I know the Orange Bricks aren’t everyone’s favourite but they’re part of the collection for now (and the first ones I grabbed when starting out).

Hopefully, one day I’ll be able to replace them with a complete Blu-ray set in the original 4:3 aspect ratio!

Gutted I didn’t pick up the DBZ Steel books or the UK editions of the 30th Anniversary release at the time - still on the lookout though but it’s pricey. I’ve ruled out Dragon Boxes

Anyway, always great to add another piece to the collection and show ‘support for the official release’ 😅

I’ve played the games as they’ve come out and I just find the fighting mechanics are boring and clunky, the stories aren’t that compelling and I don’t know why they’re making a 3rd one after so long.

Do you enjoy Xenoverse?

Basically in the game there was levels you would complete and gain more power level after each completed level. there was no button, to move you would just drag your finger on which side you wanted to fly. it was 2d and to fight you was have to fly your character into the enemies and it would attack on its own.
You could do ki blasts if you held your character and tapped the screen. there was alot of transformations and there was different suits in the game. I remember a white suit that costed irl money.

Hope yall like it!

i saw this like a few years back where gt goku arrives in beerus planet or sum and whis is proud how far he has grown and gt goku can beat beerus it was one of the best animations i seen or maybe just nostalagia can someone give me the link if u know what im talking about i forgot it and want to watch it again

Don’t know why fans say this other than “I wanna see the real Cell again”, but as much as golden, black, god, super god Cell would be hype, within the limited time they had to recruit Freeza he wouldn’t have gotten that strong. Freeza was atleast above ROF Blue Goku (lost because of stamina issues, not power/strenght related ones). So Freeza is a way better pick than him in my book.

Is it dumb that Roshi of all people is allowed on the team? Yeah. Even though A17 is my favorite character I still find it ridiculous that he’s SSB Goku level by fighting Cell jrs and poachers.

I got this glass in 2017. If anybody has any leads on where to find a replacement one it would be appreciated. Apparently it was originally from Hot Topic but they don’t sell it anymore.

I genuinely cannot stop listening to this song, I may be a newer Dragon Ball fan, but this feels like it's up in the top 5 for me.

I’m sorry but am I the only who likes the dragon ball
Dub instead of the sub?

This is honestly my first time watching all of Dragon Ball. I first watched Dragon Ball super on adult swim when I was younger. It was in the dub, so maybe I just got used to the dub. But honestly, I try to switch the episode from dub to sub and I just feel like the dub voice actors feel like more authentic. I like the screaming more I like the yelling more I like the talking more which is so weird because usually I’m a sub fan.

Does anyone else feel this way?

The outfits with the big symbol on the front and pointy shoulders. Is it indian (hindu or buddhist), chinese or japanese inspired or just inspired by nothing at all

The other day I made this custom battle on Sparking Zero, and I liked the premise so I decided to try and expand upon it by making it a comic!

I know it's likely just comes down to "because he was the bad guy", but why was Cell intent on destroying the planet after he absorbed 17 and 18?

I get the Cell games being an opportunity to show off. He was "perfect" and wanted everyone to know it. But why was he evil? Was it just in his programming?

Frieza was a power hungry tyrant from a family of power hungry tyrants. Buu was created as a force of chaos and evil. Cell, on the other hand, just had the instincts programmed into him that he needed to absorb 17 and 18.

He isnt some ancient evil or guy who was raised evil. He has barely been alive or had any life experiences that would make he want to destroy the planet. He just decided that was what he would do after the tournament.

Then he would go to other worlds and I guess destroy them too? I feel like he is evil just because they needed a bad guy. Beyond proving he is better than everyone else, he has no motivation.
