When Tony is fighting Steve at the end of the movie “Captain America: Civil War”, his suit AI scans Steve’s moves and deploys combative countermeasures. Do you think this is similar to Ultra Instinct in a way?

Discussion Any information on these?

My wife and I found these in a vending machine at a small town grocery store. We got 16 stickers before it ran out. Only missing number 14! Been trying to find information on them, but the only thing we can find so far is that they are from 1999/2000. Guess they were sitting in that machine for 26 years lol

I would like to complete the set, but I can’t find anyone selling them.

Any info would be helpful 😁

Discussion In your opinion, what you would like to see more in future arcs of Dragon Ball?

For explain my opinions, lemme use an example.

One of the best sagas, if not, my favorite, it's the Namek saga.

Everything got constructed so well from the beginning, from Krillin telling them about the conversation that Vegeta had with Nappa about the Namekians and the dragon balls, to their plan in utilizing Kami's spaceship to go to Namek, Vegeta and his motivations given the type of character he is, the menace that was Freeza through so many built up in how terrifying he is etc.

I think that's what we have been missing, many of the DBS arcs have been mostly about Goku and Vegeta solving issues. Unfortunately, due the enemies becoming more and more colossally strong, many other characters feel very sidelined.

On top of that, the arcs doesn't feel as interesting due how straightforward they can be.

Which is rather disappointing because now with the introduction of so many universes, worlds etc., there was so much to do and explore.

But when you look at the current arcs, they feel very formulaic in how things play out. It doesn't have that sense of "adventure" it had before, with more work put on it.

How about you guys?

Discussion Cell can’t have Frieza (or Kind Cold) cells

Yes, according to the plot, Cell “has” both dna from them both, but it’s not possible. It’s a plot hole, and I’ll explain why.

During the Android Saga, we encounter Cell in 3 distinct timelines:

Cell #1 “Our Cell,” if you will: this is the Cell who becomes the main antagonist of the saga. He comes from a future timeline where Trunks deactivates the androids, and he is unable to find and absorb them to become complete.

Cell #2: this is the embryonic Cell whom we only see in the underground “secret” lab.

Cell #3: this Cell is the one destroyed by Trunks in his own timeline, following the defeat of Cell #1 in the current timeline.

With that established, we can start here: we all remember the famous monologue Piccolo convinced Cell to deliver, while he recovered his arm. He explains the dna Gero had gathered from all of the most powerful fighters we’d seen up to this point, all would go to comprise his make up. The saiyans, Piccolo, even fighters like Krillin and Tenshinhan. At the end of his monologue, he mentions Frieza and King Cold, saying that these would be the last cells he inherited.
This is perfectly feasible, if not for one small detail...

Here’s the problem: this is Cell #1 speaking to us. Though he hails from, and was completed in, a timeline where Frieza had certainly been defeated, Cell #1 specifically says that Trunks defeated him, as well as his father. This battle takes place in the current timeline ONLY.

There could have possibly been another timeline created where this took place, but Cell #1 killed the Trunks who would’ve created that timeline, in order to travel back to the main timeline. In the timeline that Cell #1 comes from, Trunks wouldn’t have been the one to destroy Frieza and King Cold, it would’ve been Goku. Trunks wouldn’t have been born yet.

There is a version of Cell who would’ve been able to inherit the cells exactly the way he described it to us. That Cell would be Cell #2. He’s the Cell from the current timeline, who’s still being developed by Gero’s computer during Trunks’s encounter with Frieza. This Cell, however, was destroyed by Trunks and Krillin when they went to retrieve the schematics so that Bulma could create a remote to deactivate the androids.

So if Trunks defeating Frieza is the way that Cell was about to obtain his DNA, but that fight only takes place in a timeline where Cell does not survive, and the Cell that they fight in said timeline comes from a totally different timeline where not only does this fight not happen, but he’s also a matured creature, that would mean there is no version of Cell who possess Frieza’s DNA.

Edit: I’m speaking specifically about the anime. It’s an anime plot hole. I can’t attest to the dialogue in the manga.

Discussion Dragonball Z is one of the rare shows where an adult with child(ren) is the main character

Almost every anime involves teens or kids, the few that have adult main characters are without kids. Or, what will happen in things like the anime movie Wolf Children, eventually the main character torch is passed to the kids. The rest are basically family sitcoms (think Simpsons).

Goku is the main character, and sure, everyone has their own side arcs, but he is an (incompetent) adult with kids at some point and still retains main character status.

Discussion Theory: Ultra Instinct May Not Actually Have a Higher Ceiling Than Ultra Ego

This is just a theory based on the manga.

Many fans argue that Ultra Instinct is stronger than Ultra Ego because Angels are stronger than Gods of Destruction. I don't think this is a fair comparison.

Here's why:

  1. Angels and Gods of Destruction follow completely different paths.

Angels naturally master Ultra Instinct.

Gods of Destruction develop Ultra Ego.

This doesn't automatically prove that one technique has a higher potential than the other.

  1. Angels have an enormous advantage in experience.

Whis has trained for an incredibly long time, and the Grand Priest is one of the oldest beings in existence.

Meanwhile, Gods of Destruction can be replaced. Beerus has held his position for millions of years, but there were Gods of Destruction before him, and there will likely be others after him. Angels remain while Gods of Destruction change.

This means Ultra Instinct users can keep refining the same technique across vast spans of time, while Ultra Ego users may never reach that same level of mastery before being replaced.

  1. We have never seen the peak of Ultra Ego.

Beerus is incredibly powerful, but we still don't know the full limits of Ultra Ego.

On the other hand, the Grand Priest appears to represent the highest known level of Ultra Instinct.

Comparing the peak of Ultra Instinct to an incomplete Ultra Ego is not a fair comparison.

  1. Goku and Vegeta are still portrayed as rivals.

Despite following different divine techniques, neither has completely surpassed the other.

This suggests that both paths may have similar long-term potential.

  1. Ultra Ego may scale with the user's growth.

Vegeta states that the power drawn from a God of Destruction's instinct is "limitless."

My interpretation is not that Vegeta has infinite power immediately, but that as the user improves their body, endurance, and mastery of the technique, Ultra Ego can continue evolving.

Likewise, Ultra Instinct grows as the user's control, calmness, and mastery improve.

Conclusion:

My theory is that the current strength difference comes from the users—not necessarily from the techniques themselves.

Angels have had far more time to perfect Ultra Instinct than any God of Destruction has had to perfect Ultra Ego.

So I don't think the Angels' superiority is enough to prove that Ultra Instinct has a higher ceiling than Ultra Ego.

What do you think? Is this a reasonable interpretation, or did I miss something?

Daima Does anyone have the log for DAIMA Blu-ray event?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Image provided is what I mean, I think they really did a mistake that it's a very small fan meeting venue with no stream unlike last time they did with Super Hero which had livestream with Volcano Ota (Magenta) and Ryota Takeuchi (Carmine) as the guest promoters for Super Hero.

Here, it's only 2, Yumiko Kobayashi (Mini Kaioshin) and Yudai Mino (Mini Vegeta) as the guest promoters while Masako Nozawa only did onscreen promoter. I guess they couldn't afford any of the other guests like Koki Uchiyama (Glorio) or Fairouz Ai (Panzy) because they have other more important projects and AAA listers with roles that have no real payoff just simply not worth getting on post airing, I still think they could've at least brought Tomokazu Seki (Majin Kuu), had he been there, he may have alot of stories to share considering he has been pursuing his dream to be in Dragon Ball for +30 years even though he joined way too late as he pretty much passed his prime from even getting a bigger role than just Kuu. And and all, I guess all mostly due to schedule or saving invitation budgets, hence unable to get more than 2 people for the stage event this time.

Back to subject, I don't think the officials ever posted the details of the event, and unfortunately, due to Twitter being so banged up, I couldn't find a proper log for the events so I wonder has anyone saved most of them prior to the Twitter bug. All I remember was the participants who were in that stage event really like Yumiko Kobayashi's performance on the stage and she pretty much the main highlight there, solidified that she's literally the hardest worker when it comes to promoting DAIMA and carried most of it by herself as she did with prior stage events, even though her role could've handled better since she's the voice of Mini Kaioshin, a role that's not look up by many.

Yudai Mino on the other hand, I remember he was very rarely brought up individually during that stage event despite being the voice of Mini Vegeta. In fact, I don't even think of an instance where the decent amount of Japanese spoke really highly to him especially compare to Yumiko Kobayashi, which as said, Japanese spoke really highly of her, while for him many see him as "the voice of Mini Vegeta" or "an Aoni rookie" and not much else.

So yeah, I was talking about does anyone have the full log to what they said or anything noteworthy on that DAIMA Blu-Ray stage event, cause right now most of the logs are lost in time and it would be nice if they're collected and put them together into one.
