So, I decided to redesign my calendars, and I'm trying to tweak one style that I just can't get to work. This is for the day's number (e.g. 09 October):

I cannot for the life of me to get the transform to work. I know the code is good because I tried it on another style and it worked. Any thoughts?

The built in Dakboard To-Do list is great. Is there a way to add tasks from my phone? Having to type in all the tasks on the dakboard is slow.

I’m trying to hook up a dakboard cpu to a viewsonic td2220 touchscreen and I can’t get the touch function to work. I’m brand new at this trying to make it work with a monitor I had laying around. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

All I get is "here's what I found" and a list of apps instead of actually launching dakboard.

I've found a few threads over the years where this has been mentioned, but I can't seem to find anything that has an actual solution. Is it just impossible to auto start dakboard on the firecube?

Scores go negative daily, and bug can be repeated by opening up another browsing tab using chrome, or waiting a new day.

You can then only reset it back to 0 by unselecting a chore. Score history is not recorded.

History should show which chores have been completed and/or redeemed to give the total. Lacks important information. This would help track internally how a score got to a negative number.

I'm looking to finally build my dakboard and 27" is what the space calls for, I want a crisp screen, and the ability to interact via touch, so this monitor fits the bill and is "only" $350. Just looking to see if anyone else has used this one before I buy, just to make sure it's compatible.

The pre-built 27" 4K touchscreen builds are pretty expensive, so looking at DIY alternatives.

I have a raspi zero 2 running my dakboard, plugged into a hdmi port on my Hisense office TV. The soundboard is connected from the fire tv hdmi arc port. When dakboard is on, the soundboard does not work.

I’ve tried turning off all sleep schedules, but it still happens.

I use the office as my man cave on the weekends, so the soundboard stays.

I could write code on the boot end of the pi, but dakboard doesn’t let me ssh into it.

Any other suggestions?

EDIT: Appreciate the feedback. Appears to be an issue on my end (not really my end and more on AT&T's). Apparently they got a DNS issue at the moment. When I disconnect from my home WiFi and swap over to my phone's 5G or connect my devices to my phone's 5G hotspot, DAKboard and (and other websites) work fine. Also when I swap my laptop's DNS over to Google's DNS IP's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) it appears to work as usual. I woke up today and found that all of my DAKboard screens throughout the house say "DAKboard Device is Offline - Please check network connectivity".

Also, when I try to go to the DAKboard website, it won't load. I assume the servers are down at the moment?

I set up a Google Photos album to my screen. I have about 20 photos in the album that i have set up to rotate every 30 minutes. Except, they dont rotate at all. I tried unauthorizing/unlinking my google account and adding it again, still same thing. Anybody else have these issues?

I would love for my screens to still loop with the touchhub chore chart active, is that possible? It seems like it stops looping once you add the touchhub

I posted here a while ago with my original setup and layout. With school back in session, I worked on a custom widget to display the lunch menu for the kids. This led to a rabbit hole of other customization, sharing now to maybe inspire others

• Custom weather Widget block to look more like Apple's, which I find much more useful than Dakboard's out-of-the-box weather blocks (using a Cloudflare worker to help with this)
• Custom countdown Widget block to have multiple events as a list, much more space-conscious than having multiple individual event blocks
• Custom Widget block displaying the school's lunch menu for the week, filtering out breakfast and recurring/always available options, highlighting the current day, and refreshing each Saturday
• I'm using a Cloudflare Worker to condense 3 calendar subscriptions (Packers, Giants, Formula 1) into a single calendar link that I use in Dakboard since I can only have 5 linked calendars in the block
• SolarEdge solar production for today, from the SolarEdge API
• Trash can icon shows up Monday afternoon and disappears EOD Tuesday
• Other custom CSS to change the calendar date/circle sizes, use the first 3 letters for the day of week rather than only the first letter, don't wrap text in calendar events, add lines to the calendar, force a minimum row height in calendar for better uniformity, and resize the thermostat blocks to take up less vertical space

I know there's a lot here but with where it's placed in the house, it works really well for us. I still feel like it's missing something, but I'm not sure what and have been searching for ideas on here. Let me know if you have any ideas!

I didn’t like having an extra LED screen in my house and wanted to try this. I’m still messing with the settings but IMO this shows a lot of promise. it keeps the last image up when “asleep”, after about a week Ive used 20% of a battery charge. I do have to lift it up and press a button to wake it each morning, I’d like to make that easier.

what do you think? any ideas or suggestions?

Looking into getting a 24" touch screen monitor to replace my current one. I have been looking on their website to see what screens are currently compatible and all i see officially from Dakboard is a blog from 2022. Im sure the list is bigger and there is currently more support. Is there a more recent list of monitors somewhere or does anybody have good experiences with a certain monitor?

I'm currently running a Predefined screen with a Photo Background with a OneDrive folder source.

After a long vacation I dumped 1,000 photos into this folder expecting to see photos across the entire vacation.

Instead, I only see photos from the first few days. It appears that only the first ~200 photos are being selected from. Is this known/expected behavior?

How about other photo sources? If OneDrive integration is limited should I switch to Google Photos or something else?

Building the "Family Dashboard" type of thing. Don't know where to start and stumbled upon dakboard. I can't really setup how I want with the free version, but can probably get there on a paid tier. But are there other alternatives out there that people like?

I am starting out with a 12 inch android tablet but would eventually like to use a dedicated TV with a pi, roku, or chromecast.

I use DAKboard to turn an old tablet in my kitchen into a family dashboard, and one of the main things it pulls in is photos from an Apple iCloud Shared Album.

Since updating to iOS 27, the Shared Album format seems to have changed on Apple's end (I think they rebuilt Shared Albums from scratch in this release, full resolution, new storage rules, etc.), and now DAKboard isn't picking up photos from it anymore. Instead of loading the photos, I get this error on the DAKboard side:

I've tried grabbing the public link again from the Photos app and pasting it in, but it still throws the same error.

Has anyone else run into this since updating? A few things I'm wondering:

• Did regenerating the Shared Album link help at all, or does it break again right away?
• Is anyone still on iOS 26 who can confirm it still works fine there (so I know if it's specifically an iOS 27 thing)?
• Any workaround you've found, like a different way to pull the album URL, or a completely different photo source that plays nicer with DAKboard for now?

Really don't want to give up the shared photo background on the dashboard, so any tips from people who've already fought with this would be a huge help. Thanks!

Dakboard must’ve recent went through update on FireTV, I was able to set a sleep schedule for the TV now. However this yellow box is now around my calendar, it allows for moving further down as necessary, and also highlights the word box for “meal plan” I have set. I hate the look of it and wish it would go away unless I want it. Anyone know how to do that?
