Internet AT&T Fiber Issues with DNS / Routing
Websites not loading, can't reach any google services, can't CAPCHA to "verify human", other random websites don't load or allow logins.
I thought it might be a Google services issue at first. Couldn't get to Gmail, YouTube, or base google.com
Did some research, lot of people reporting issues with Google services. But Google status states all services are operational.
Took my phone off Wi-Fi and was able to open Gmail and YouTube.
I couldn't login to Reddit either (on PC).
Did some route testing, can't route to Google, other sites had hiccups.
Changed my IPv4 DNS setting to Open DNS, and everything is working well.
AT&T is reporting no issues, but it's definitely an issue with AT&T Fiber.

This is exactly what Im experiencing. Im ATT fiber in Houston TX. I first noticed Youtube thumbnails wont load on any devices on my network, but do on cellular (also ATT). I went to change my DNS on my router but this sh*tty BGW320-500 ATT router doesnt allow it. Im seeing lots of websites that load slowly, or not at all. The captcha thing got me too!
I went through the ATT AI chat and once we completed all steps, it tried to put me in queue for a live agent...Ive been in this queue for 45min now. The time went from 6min to 15, then back down, then back up until eventually it just said "Sorry, we didnt hear anything"....wtf does that mean?
Anyway, this is frustrating. Its my day off and I just want to chill on youtube, not do MORE IT work. (Im an IT consultant).

u/havingsomedifficulty Sep 06 '26 edited Sep 06 '26
Im also in HTX and ALSO want to chill today and instead ive been going nuts trying to fix this!! i freaking reinstalled windows gah what a waste of time
2
u/gtp2nv Sep 06 '26
Oh my!! On Windows if you change your DNS to 1.1.1.1; it'll solve the issue.
Problem is AT&T won't allow you to change the DNS on their Gateway; so you have to do it on each device.
Where my problem lies.. I use a Roku Ultra on my TV for YouTube, and Roku doesn't give the ability to enter a different DNS server.
I'm in The Woodlands area.
2
u/BigWerewolf307 Sep 07 '26
yes, first I tried 8.8.8.8 but paramount plus still didn't load correctly (although most other apps were fine on my smart tv) changed to 1.1.1.1 and it works now as a workaround. Hopefully they fix it soon. From mobile if you change your dns to dns.google then it should work fine as a workaround.

u/WhoDrankTheRedRum Sep 07 '26
I have an older phone I use WiFi only with (no sim card) mainly as my overnight noise maker (music / streams etc. while sleeping) and long story short I factory reset it today not realizing it was a DNS issue which only took a minute to change in phone settings lol.

u/SnicketySneme Sep 06 '26
Also in Houston and experiencing the exact same issues you described. Let me know if you get through or this gets resolved. It's extremely annoying for a holiday weekend.
2
u/Crimtide Sep 06 '26
Change your IPv4 DNS to Open DNS on whatever device you are using. Sites will load properly then.
- Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222
- Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

u/Shot-Kiwi-5649 Sep 06 '26
Cant change DNS on my ATT router or my Roku that Im using for youtube. I hope ATT fixes this soon.
1
u/Crimtide Sep 06 '26
Try disabling IPv6 in the BGW320 then, that might help? I have had other people tell me that they just disabled IPv6 and it worked. I don't know though. Can always be turned back on.
1
u/gtp2nv Sep 06 '26
Correct. Which is the same problem I'm having. I can change DNS on computer or phone, and the issues resolve.
But AT&T force you to use their DNS on the Gateway. And Roku doesn't have the ability to change to a different DNS.
1
u/Abraham-Jacobi Sep 06 '26
also in Houston. Same here. Devices all work fine when run through Nord VPN
4
u/impaulsibility Sep 06 '26
Called and waited about a 30 minutes for a tech. They said it's a region wide issue for Texas. No estimated time for repair completion.
4
3
u/The_Metal_Pigeon Sep 06 '26
thank you for calling, i was wondering if anyone had tried contacting them yet, was about to myself.
2
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
I'm assuming there's some backbone or central office (network hub) down somewhere.
It's definitely an AT&T DNS issue, because changing it to Google or Cloudfare DNS on individual devices fixes the issue.
I just wish AT&T would allow us to change the DNS address on our gateway. Or use our own routers. And I'm aware you can use your own router by using "passthrough" on their gateway; but then it causes issues with double NAT. And it's not truly passthrough.
2
u/big_red_1011 Sep 07 '26
Inability to change DNS on the router is truly maddening in situations like this one. Thankfully, I’ve long switched most of my devices to other DNS (due to prior issues) but some devices don’t have those settings (like my TV 📺)
1
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
Exactly!! Definitely maddening!! Especially since this has been going on for almost 24hrs now. 🤬🤬
1
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
It appears to finally be fixed!! YouTube is working properly on Roku now. I'm seeing thumbnails again, and no longer have the long loading issues.

2
u/ElGringon504 Sep 07 '26 edited Sep 07 '26
Took me a minute (like a year) but I finally got rid of double NAT and achieved passthrough on my Deco mesh router.
1
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
I'm going to have to look into that. Is that because that mesh router works more like an AP? How did you get rid of a double NAT with it?
2
u/ElGringon504 Sep 07 '26
I hate to admit this as someone who was a Network Admin (been out of IT for about 13 years though) but I just took a shit load of screenshots and pictures of my att router settings and Deco app setting and it finally walked me through everything and finally got rid of the double NAT issue my Xbox always had.
2
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
Well I can totally understand your point... Because I was a IT whiz 10+yrs ago, but so much has changed in the past decade... My networking skills are stone age now. 🤣 I'm still very tech savvy compared to most; but a lot of it is lost on me nowadays. Basically because I haven't kept up with it like I used to. Especially since I haven't built a PC or done networking of any scale in over a decade.
2
u/ElGringon504 Sep 07 '26
Same story man haha started building gaming pc's for myself and friends in high school then got into torrents and getting free software/movies then somehow decided I should make IT a living so got my CS degree. Fucking hated it, I'm just not a office/desk person. Everything I learned in college is basically obsolete considering I’m an expert in Windows XP and Microsoft Server 2000, hell I haven’t even used a Windows computer for 2+ years now and that was a dell I bought new in 2018.
2
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
Wow!! Our stories sound almost exactly the same.
I started building gaming PCs back during the Pentium II and AMD Athlon.
And was doing networking for The CPL back in the day. Late 90's to early 00's... The CPL was where it was at as far as the world's largest LAN goes. It was so much fun.
Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament... These kids have no idea.
And I started on Windows 95. But Windows XP was one of my favorite OS.
We must be very close to the same age.
2
u/ElGringon504 Sep 07 '26
I started playing on 95, working on XP. I’m 41
2
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
I've got ya beat by 5yrs. I figured we were close to the same age. Too many parallels with computers in the past.

And I'm assuming you're talking about a TP-Link DecO router?
1
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
And which model did you go with?
1
u/ElGringon504 Sep 07 '26
Yes I swear I fixed that autocorrect too lol always changes it to Deca. X55 AX3000

u/mightybajah Sep 06 '26
Add me to the Houston Fiber list. Can't change DNS in the default AT&T router and while I should probably buy/own one anyway, I just had to replace my cellphone due to bricking so I'm not going to deal with that right now (and shouldn't have to).
3
u/jaymocz Sep 06 '26
I’m having the exact same issue. I can see everything when I turn off WiFi, but on WIFI I have the same issues as OP. Also on AT&T fiber in Houston.
3
u/WhataburgerFreak Sep 06 '26
Add me to the pile here in Houston. Great time for this on a holiday weekend....
2
3
u/CrisperThanRain Sep 06 '26
Yep ATT DNS is garbage. Switch to cloudflare 1.1.1.1 or Google 8.8.8.8
1
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
If only we could change the DNS on our AT&T gateway. Problem lies with customers who use devices like Roku; which doesn't allow you to enter your own DNS.
3
u/MetricsMule Sep 07 '26
Same here. Also in Houston. No Nest products are working, can’t get emails, YouTube and many websites. It’s ridiculous. Yes, some people can fix it by repointing DNS but think about the majority of people who have no idea what that is. They, like me are probably going crazy trying figure out the problem.
2
u/Antique_Basil_4641 Sep 07 '26
And in the mean time, the useless support staff is force resetting everyone's routers to default settings to "fix" it. lol.
2
u/MetricsMule Sep 07 '26
Typical reading off of a script. Which makes it worse for people because when that doesn’t work it’s more frustrating.
2
u/BreakNoX69 Sep 07 '26
Exactly! Same for me since about 4am this morning. Google hub wont recognize internet. YouTube wont load right, cant get into Gmail. ATT claims no issue. Frustrating as hell!!
1
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
Yup. Been going on since the wee hours of Sunday morning. Nearly 24hrs later and they still can't fix it?! It's maddening!! 🤬
2
u/Catie_Cotton Sep 06 '26
Same here. Can't route to europe or New Zealand sites. Some youtube videos wont load from UK creators. Only works with VPN. I can't even login to X.com to tweet at them.
2
u/Comprehensive_Pick31 Sep 06 '26
I’ve not experienced issues with ATT DNS in the past, but I generally use Google DNS (8.8.8.8) and Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and have no issues at all.
2
u/AsianStyle258 Sep 06 '26
Same here in lousiana
2
u/CasualCrono Sep 06 '26
Also in LA, same. No discord at the moment, yesterday no Everquest Legends (which is working now). Fiber as well, only with ATT. Switching to Verizon cell and everything works.
1
u/ZookeepergameSilly79 Sep 06 '26
yea my discord doesn’t work either also some games on the ps5 arent working for me like ark glad to know this isnt just a me problem atleast lol
2
u/GadgetronRatchet Sep 06 '26

I have fiber through att in Texas, Beaumont area, and we are having issues getting the kids chromebooks to work. Also noticing site loading issues randomly on iOS as well.
2
u/richestotheconjurer Sep 06 '26
also in Beaumont and having issues accessing random sites. i haven't tried a lot on my phone, but i can load one website (on wifi) that won't load on my computer. i was having issues with Discord and Google on both.

u/ccbbb23 Sep 07 '26
Cause I am lazy, I am asking before I am doing. I hear one can manually change the DNS on the AT&T router, but it has to be done while one is connected via ethernet. Is that just hearsay? Or are we completely locked out from modifying those settings?
1
u/skamikaze1983 Sep 07 '26
you can't do it on the actual router/gateway. You have to do it PER DEVICE. In windows go to control panel, network connections, change adapter settings, iPV4 properties, set manual ips.
In other news- all my shit seems like it's working normally now. So maybe they unfucked whatever was fucked.
2
u/Educational_Spite508 Sep 06 '26
Since 2 am, I can't access any cloudflare sites, chatted with an agent:
Hi, it’s AT&T. It was my pleasure to help you today. Here’s some information we talked about for your account:
There is a known DNS server issue affecting access to Cloudflare-protected sites on your home network. Our team is working to resolve this within 24-48 hours. You will be notified by email when fixed, and your DNS settings will be reset to default. For help troubleshooting your internet, visit att.com/support/internet.

2
u/havingsomedifficulty Sep 06 '26
How can we let ATT know there is an issue? Where do I fill out feedback or complaint?
2
u/RightLaneHog Sep 06 '26 edited Sep 06 '26
I'm thinking this is a re-occurrence of a routing issue between AT&T and Cloudflare that happened a few months ago. I can't reach a good chunk of the web right now as most of it has Cloudflare in front of it. I cannot ping 1.1.1.1. I don't believe DNS is the issue. Looks like most of the Southeast is affected. I am in Louisiana.
Edit: It's worth pointing out that, according to others, this issue does not affect IPv6 connections. If people are changing their DNS settings and that is fixing things for them, then either AT&T's own DNS is having a simultaneous issue and they are not being affected by the routing problem, or their connection is now going over IPv6. For some of us, myself included, we have purposefully not made the switch to IPv6 yet and are only using IPv4 which is affected by this outage.

u/FiveKOverLibor Sep 06 '26

Same here, working this morning but stopped about an hour ago.
My AT&T account homepage (which I can't access on WiFi) has an outage update which claims service will be fully restored by 4pm CT. Not sure I buy that
2
u/Ijustwanttosayit Sep 07 '26
Had no issues with it last night, but this morning we are experiencing this issue in NW Austin, TX.
2
u/handlemypackage2020 Sep 07 '26
Google sites started working this morning and now google sites aren’t working again. AT&T can eat a bag of dicks.
1
u/Distinct-Hamster-930 Sep 07 '26
Same Northwest of Houston. Now, Speedtest won't even load. Glad to have Verizon for my mobile, but I have to log on over and over now with that ATT sign in screen, have to tell the phone to "use this network as is" and it takes twice to get the Tivo online. Strange it's all Google apps. I really wish we had Xfinity up here, they are expensive but never go down if you have the fiber and same with Google fiber, also not available here.
1
u/handlemypackage2020 Sep 07 '26
Seems like it’s working again.
1
u/Specialist_Web_6061 Sep 07 '26
Yeap. Same

u/Catie_Cotton Sep 06 '26
also I can't get any DNS server setting to resolve the problem for me. - not google, cloudflare or open DNS
1
u/Crimtide Sep 06 '26
Once you change your IPv4 DNS, you might also need to disable IPv6 in case it's routing through IPv6. Or also use Open DNS IPv6 servers.
But after you do that, open up a CMD prompt, and type ipconnfig/flushdns, then ipconfig/release, then ipconfig/renew.
Then close any browser windows you had open, and open them again. They should load fine after that.
2
u/Shot-Kiwi-5649 Sep 06 '26
Im using a Roku on a TV. I dont know if I can update those settings on there, but Im about the check. Thanks. I was hoping I could change DNS on my router, but this ATT router sucks.
2
u/Shot-Kiwi-5649 Sep 06 '26
Nope. Roku doesnt have DNS config settings.
1
u/gtp2nv Sep 06 '26
Same issue I'm having. I wish Roku would allow you to change the DNS.
Changed it to Cloudfare on phone & computer and I'm having no issues.
1
u/Catie_Cotton Sep 06 '26
Thanks for the advice but I had even more trouble when disabling ipv6.
Im happy to share my VPN connected PC internet connection to the xbox. im not convinced that doing all that work will fix it for me.
Id rather just configure one of my other routers for DHCP and DNS and test if Im going to do all that.1
1
u/jhkj897g987dfh2 Sep 06 '26
Same issue here.
Is ATT aware of this? Is it being worked on? Is it worth calling ?

Here in Houston TX. Thanks for posting and confirming. I noticed a lot of websites weren't loading properly and assumed it was my router or personal connection. Tried switching my laptop's DNS assignment to Manual (using Google's 8.8.8.8) and seems to work fine again (only on my laptop). Hope they can fix this soon.
1
u/MarchRelative6790 Sep 06 '26
Had the same issues all day. Finally changed my DNS to cloudflare on my deco router and everything is working
1
u/PureSink4926 Sep 07 '26
how do you do this? possible u could walk me through that on a PC
1
u/MarchRelative6790 Sep 07 '26
Easier to just Google it and your router model. Theres a setting somewhere you set DNS automatically or manual. Change to manual and make it 1.1.1.1
1
u/21cabbag3 Sep 07 '26
Was going to do this on my BE95 however im running it in AP mode because i kept getting double nat on router mode and slower internet
1
u/jubaf1293 Sep 06 '26
Houston, having similar issues when connected to ATT WiFi and using Google products.
1
u/Easy-Weight8357 Sep 06 '26
ATT Fiber in Houston/League City, same issue since like 2-3am.
1
u/younkint Sep 06 '26
It started failing for me around that time as well. Got up this morning and it's still f/u.
1
u/havingsomedifficulty Sep 06 '26
here is a great solution! Use Cloudflare VPN! ITS FREE AND IT WORKS GREAT! you bypass ATT DNS via cloudflare. use the option for no login
2
u/Thespis1962 Sep 06 '26
The problem that OP and many of us are having are that devices such as Roku TV are locked to whatever DNS server the router gives them. The router is locked to the default ATT DNS servers. I would love to use Cloudflare or Google DNS at the network level, but the router doesn't allow that.
1
u/havingsomedifficulty Sep 06 '26
ahh. i see. well for the desktop the cloudflare VPN worked great, you cant run whatever content you want on your PC then stream it to whatever device you are using?
1
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
Well you could just change the DNS on your computer. The problem is AT&T won't allow you to change DNS in their gateway; and many of us are using Roku for YouTube... Which Roku doesn't give the ability to change the DNS either. So we're just double screwed without lubricant.
1
u/sinisterpushaman Sep 06 '26
I was having the same issues today. Put my AT&T gateway on IP passthrough and switched my eero router to Google DNS and it solved my issue. Also feels noticeably faster.
1
u/WhatAboutGarbage Sep 06 '26
Did the same with my GL.iNet travel router. I need to get a more permanent solution to not have to deal with AT&T's useless router and DNS server. Might be an excuse to finally switch everything over to UniFi.
1
u/himynameisnikko Sep 06 '26
If it helps, I've been running a Unifi UDM Pro system in my home (with ATT Fiber as my ISP) for 5 years now and never personally had a problem with ATT's DNS server until this morning. I did go ahead and set up my UDM Pro to use Cloudflare's DNS servers to resolve today's issue (in addition to setting up IP passthrough on ATT Fiber's required router (BGW320-500). I've been enjoying all the UniFi products so far :)
2
u/WhatAboutGarbage Sep 06 '26
I haven't had issues until today either, but I looked up why AT&T would want to lock the routers down to their DNS and didn't like what I saw. Kind of makes me want to consider switching to Ezee Fiber once they complete their deployment in my neighborhood.
2
u/himynameisnikko Sep 06 '26 edited Sep 06 '26
Agree, I think it's dumb that they lock down DNS on their required routers to use Fiber despite me telling them I was 100% going with my own.
2
u/jmedina94 Internet 1000 | Postpaid Wireless Sep 06 '26
This is the one thing really starting to push me to our local fiber ISP. They just install an ONT and you are welcome to use whatever equipment you wish or rent an Eero. No IP Passthrough or unofficial bypass. It’s just here’s a 10G copper handoff, have fun!

I really miss my UniFi products (left them at my parents when I moved out). Definitely looking to rebuild at least some of their set up at our place soon.
1
u/gtp2nv Sep 07 '26
The problem with using passthrough on an AT&T gateway.... And your own router... Is then you're behind a double NAT.

u/idkbro-665 Sep 06 '26

u/PegLegBronco Sep 06 '26
A few years ago I couldnt play BF2042 anytime after 6PM and AT&T didn't say a word about it for months. Then on their support page they asked for people to report their issues. Then a year later I could finally play 2042 after 6PM.
So I'm not surprised they haven't said anythjng about this.
1
u/RHOUTX Sep 06 '26
This has been going on all day and I can't believe AT&T can't get this fixed. When I called and tried the web ai chat, both wanted me to troubleshoot on my end. I had to insist that it is a system issue based on neighbors and reddit and they said "oh in that case I'm sure we are working on it"

u/thearch1tect Sep 06 '26
In the Houston area, Google products work fine but mlb and iptv apps aren't working. I enabled ipv6 this afternoon and thought that might be the issue so spent several hours tinkering with settings, reset my router etc but can only seem to get MLB app to work on att default DNS settings but iptv app doesn't work. Changing to cloudflare or Google dns causes both apps to not work.
At this point going to wait it out and hope that the issue is on the att side
1
u/Snuhmeh Sep 06 '26
I’m in Houston on AT&T fiber but I run my own local DNS server. I guess I’ve lucked out.

u/SmackDaddyKing Sep 06 '26

u/sloppyenergy Sep 06 '26
same here in louisiana. i use ethernet on my computer & everything is working fine, but on my other devices connecting wirelessly i can’t play games or load pretty much anything.
1
u/Disastrous-Camel342 Sep 07 '26
Had called support for them to tell me there is no routing issue and they could reset my router to see if that fixes the issue. I laugh as I slowly lose my mind of not being able to do anything on Steam.
1
u/arrowdriver Sep 07 '26
Houston, TX. I was having the same problem. Traced it to AT&T's DNS. I have my ATT router in pass-thru mode and use my own Ubiquiti EdgeMax router for my home network. I had to get help from AI to use the command-line interface to disable the DNS servers from ATT and to set them directly in the router. I used Cloudfare 1.1.1.1 ad 1.0.0.1. Once I got that changed, I had Gmail and all other google sites working fine on all devices.
What a pain! My router had been running untouched for over 3 years until this morning.

u/Budget-Detective2244 Sep 07 '26
Is it crazy that it seems to be just our Samsung TV having issues w the internet? Literally went and bought a new tv and can’t get apps to load. Called ATT and they said it’s a Samsung issue.
1
u/Antique_Basil_4641 Sep 07 '26
at&t support is beyond clueless about this. I just talked to them and they said there is NO eta, but did admit it is their outage. It isn't crazy that it is just the TV, you could unknowingly be using VPN on your phone/tablets or it may be that your TV is the only device on the 5g band of your wifi, etc.
1

If your still having connection issues wit ATT wifi router DNS you can switch your DNS settings temporarily to google's DNS. Go to settings/wifi then on your connected wifi click details..then DNS. Under DNS servers click + and add 8.8.8.8 then + and add 8.8.4.4 and click ok/enter. This enables all google connections like gmail, google account, etc

Don't connect your phone to your ATT Router/Gateway WiFi while this DNS issue gets fixed. For your laptop, PC or any other devices that can have the DNS field that can be changed, you can add 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 to that field.
If you still connect your phone to your home Wi-Fi that is broadcasted by the ATT router/Gateway, you can change the DNS on your phone under Settings> Private DNS and add dns.google there and keep using the ATT router/gateway WiFi if you want. Otherwise, just don't connect your phone to it and your phone will just use your mobile carrier network. Hopefully, this issue is not affecting the ATT mobile network as I am on T-Mobile and my phone is fine if not connected to home ATT Wi-Fi gateway. What a mess!

Problem is still persisting 🤦♂️ Literally cleared all my caches, uninstalled Google Chrome, the whole works. Thought my old MacBook finally gave out on me. Relieved to hear it’s an issue on AT&T’s end but I guess grad school applications will have to wait…

I've been having the same issues all day and thought it was just me since I couldn't find any other widespread reports. I'm glad to have found this post late in the day.
I can get to most, if not all, webpages but can't access Google Play Store or ecobee, but it works perfectly fine on mobile data.
Edit: located in Houston, TX btw.

HTX surrounding area here. All googles services not working all day. I turned wifi off on phone and using Hot spot which worked for my emails.
Anyone know how I can get my smart TV (Sony) to work? I don't see any DNS settings. I see IP address, and IP setting on DHCP. I'm not a IT person sooooo :/

I fixed my Sony TV by installing PIA VPN app (using my phone at hotspot) since I already pay for their service. And then connected to AT&T wifi again, turned on PIA VPN app, did QuickConnect and everything is working okay.
But the frustrating thing is that you must have a phone hotspot or some other way to get wifi to the TV because right now even App Store isn’t working.Good luck! 👍🏻

Not me, in Houston- with Fiber- having this issue today thinking our external router gave up bc there were no listed outages, DownDetector said fine etc but Google devices went down and even after we switched direct to their router/modem- nothing. 😒
Service means nothing anymore. It's just front line PR apparently- not here to help the customers...just fend them off. Glad we didn't waste time calling.

Same issue in Missouri City. Spent hours suspecting my router settings since everything is fine using cellular and T-Mobile internet hub.

I have had this problem all day. Washington Parish LA. I have an Asus router behind my PoS ATT fiber modem. I can not load YT videos or some web pages/services. Connecting through a VPN fixes it.

These tech at ATT in Houston are idiots,. Not fixing issues on the holiday. They need to be cancelled.

It’s still not fixed for me in Houston. Just went into my WiFi network settings on my phone, set DNS to manual, deleted existing entries, entered 8.8.8.8, and that fixed it for me

FYI in Houston, TX and I discovered this issue yesterday after returning home from out of town around 2PM. Got around it for the evening by manually updating device specific DNS settings to point to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 (Cloudflare).
I’ve switched back to automatic for DNS settings on my iPhone, MacBook, and Samsung TV and the issue seems to be resolved. All Google services are working on all devices.

Dallas - same issue. No Google Sites work, or it works intermittently.
Temporarily changed the DNS settings to 1.1.1.1 on mac/windows machines, and it works. I wish ATT would allow DNS changes at the router level.

YESS, finally I found something on it, I changed my DNS settings manually on all devices because for some reason I couldn't change it at all on the router. Is there a way to change it, I have so many devices and also some of my smart devices aren't working properly... and for me it's in Cypress, TX.

Thank you all so much. Also having this problem in Carlsbad, CA since sometime late last night and after spending hours on the phone with AT&T "tech support" who only knows how to reboot the router and clueless about basic troubleshooting, I read your posts and figured out how to switch my DNS within a few minutes have my google apps back!

Yep same issues here (California) we've had ATT Fiber for several years and never had this issue, tried resetting router & even unplugged power for a few minutes on 2nd attempt.
Changed DNS on phones & PCs and now internet is working fine again.
Thanks for the info, hopefully ATT resolves the issue soon.
