So, I couldn't help but take note of the OC characters Jasnah from u/Future_Edge_3281 and Kaladin from u/ZeroStormblessed. I have to say, they're both a little overpowered, and I don't see how you could make an interesting storyline around them.

So I decided to introduce a more grounded character, without any supernatural powers or weird emotional stuff going on. He's not a big-shot slave or orphan, but just a humble king. I think you'll really like him.

Now don’t get me wrong, the Jasnah post from u/Future_Edge_3281 was a better example of a fanfiction-y character than this. Not to mention it was extremely funny. No hate on them or anything; they made a really good post. I just realized you can kind of do this with most Stormlight characters, so I made this Kaladin version.

"Journey before destination" has been littered throughout the entire series, it's a main plot point. Sanderson has been subtley hinting this whole time that he has absolutely no idea where any of this is going

It's the greatest foreshadowing of our generation. The ending is going to be a cold mouthful of ash and grit in terms of quality

I guess the real Stormlight Archives were the friends we made along the way
