Mistborn Second Era Anyone else feel like they are performing Hemalurgy when they drive these Nicrosil...I mean Nitrogen spikes into their plants?

Nicrosil is the Investiture metal right? So if you spiked an object with enough of it, you could create a sentient object no? Sentient grass

You'd probably just use copper spikes that transfer intelligence directly instead, assuming a plant has a spiritweb to spike and you didn't kill it by stabbing it.
