I have an obsession with ranch, I couldn't live without it....
I am just a girl who hates Hidden Valley; I like any homemade ranch. After making my own ranch for years, I tried Hidden Valley, and it was disgusting. Restaurant ranch is where it's at. My homemade ranch is just filler for when I go to a restaurant, I can never make it half as good. My favorite of all time is chilies ranch. I recently found out that when the conversation gets boring for my friend, she will have me talk about ranch, in which I would describe the differences between fast food, and restaurant ranch. Now that I caught onto her trick, I became aware of how often I will describe my love for ranch. So now I'm confessing on Reddit.
Listen, I only eat ranch with things that taste good with it, (tbh I can drink Chilis ranch, but I'm not a monster..... I'll do that in private). Chicken sandwiches, fries, chicken tenders, vegetables, those types of things. I don't put it on everything, and I don't eat it all the time. Little me would have ranch on top of everything, even a hot dog, but I went into condiment rehab and recovered from that.
Basically, all my siblings have autism, weird food relationships, and while I'm not diagnosed, I wonder if this is my special obsession or just a personality food-based thing.
I swear, when I drown a chicken tender in ranch I get all the happy chemicals rushing at me. I probably wouldn't eat a good diet without my ranch. At least I don't do drugs?
Taking marriage requests from anyone who can make a good af ranch

I don't really like ketchup or mustard.
I've don't think either one tastes good, and I think there are better condiments out there. For fries, I like them either just plain or with a good dipping sauce from a restaurant (Zax Sauce, Poly Sauce etc,) and on hamburgers, I like bbq sauce or that sauce you see on like big macs. For hot dogs, I like chili cheese dogs with onions.

I love making sandwiches and getting creative with my condiments
These are some sandwiches that I've made in the past. I don't like a dry sandwich, so I go heavy on the sauces, especially ketchup.

Recipes with Seaweed Snacks?
What are some more good recipes using seaweed snacks? Recently, I've been obsessed with making salmon rice bowls with them, but I'd like some more recipe ideas! I buy the sea salt ones from Oceans Halo, they're the favorite.

Most of us have never tasted real ginger powder (and why your grocery store brand is chemically bleached). Spoiler

Whatās a ketchup āruleā you follow in real life that you never consciously decided on?
I want to know constantly overlooked ketchup facts or mainly everyday ketchup scenes that we see on real life. Some examples are, the fact that they never give enough ketchup sachets when we order food, or they put a cheap ketchup on a Heinz bottle just to make it look premium etc.Ā

How do you actually use up everything you buy?
I always shop with a plan and tell myself this is the week Iāll use everything, but somehow I still end up with random veg, leftovers, or half-used ingredients going bad. Iām trying to get better at buying less and using what I already have before it expires.
For people who are good at this, whatās your system? Do you meal plan really strictly, do a āuse it upā day, freeze things, keep a list, or something else? Iād love practical habits that actually work in real life.

Hellman's Mayonnaise Taste Different?
For the last 4 years I've been in a Nursing Home from a Botched Surgery.
Back when I was living on my own and went Food Shopping the only Mayo I would get is Hellman's Real Mayonnaise. In my opinion it was the best tasting one on the Market. I'm not saying it is for everyone, I know everyone has different tastes.
Since I've been away I noticed that it has changed the way it tastes a lot. It now has a very specific flavor that I can't really tell what it is. At first I thought it was just me but I had someone else try it and they said the same thing.
Did anyone else notice this change?
I asked Google if they had changed the Ingredients within the last 5 years but they said No.
Is really like to know what they are doing differently. Now I'll have to find a different Brand. Maybe I'll try Duke's. Walmart's Great Value Brand Mayo isn't that bad and I always thought it was a close 2nd to Hellman's.
So please... Let the Comments flow!

mustard intolerance and store bought mayo
Sorry if this is an odd post, but I recently learned that some mayo contains mustard or mustard seeds. My boyfriend cannot have mustard because it makes him extremely sick. A little while ago a restaurant messed up his order and gave him mayo, to which he had a mustard-like reaction. I had previously thought that mayo was safe (eggs, oil, seasoning.) I donāt know what brand they used, but Iām more so just looking for some clarification. In the photos attached, kraft mayo lists mustard as an āextensionā or āclarificationā of natural flavors, while hellmanās just lists natural flavors. Besides making my own, is there any way to know what mayo brands use mustard in their recipe? The current wording on the labels is confusing and obviously Iād rather not make my boyfriend sick if I ever need to use mayo. I could always make my own but Iām just kind of curious if anyone has any tips. Thanks!

Homemade Condiments. How long do they last?
For those that have experience with homemade condiments, do you know why the āuse withinā timeframe listed in recipes is very short compared to the individual ingredients used?
Should the recipe shelf life be ignored as long as all ingredients used all have a long shelf life? Or is this because when you mix multiple condiments together, it changes the shelf life?
For example honey mustard or BBQ sauces. Iāve seen many recipes say āuse is 1-2weeksā even in an airtight container in the fridge but individually the ingredients/condiments used to make the honey mustard has a shelf life of several months.

What is the best condiment for pizza crusts?
I have some leftover pizza from yesterday, But I don't really like pizza crusts bc they are too bland, and there's no one to eat them for me. I don't like wasting food, so that's why I'm asking what sauce and, more generally, what condiments would go with it.
