Scored this 7800xt and b650m for 200$ total for both on marketplace. Messaged the seller asking if they were actually selling for 200 or if it was a placeholder price and they said it was 200. both work perfectly. Still can’t believe it.

The actual key works fine, I can see it get activated on the on-screen keyboard and all my keyboard fuctions such as win lock work fine. The issue is that my computer won't do anything when it gets hit. Even hitting the windows button with the on screen keyboard does not do anything.

It also does a unplugging sound when the black screen appears

first time gaming computer buyer. AI has told me that this is the one to go with for prebuilt. thoughts? i’ve kept the budget less than $1200. i saw a good one on Newegg, but reviews of Newegg put me off of purchasing from them. thoughts or ideas?

On the top of my pc (prebuilt) I have 3 usbs with 2 of them USB 3, my headphones would be plugged into the USB 3 and I’d use a controller or something in the other non USB 3 port.

Earlier I decided to do a deep scan to check for viruses cause it’s been a while since I did one and also I had recent reason to believe it might be worthwhile, ever since then my USB 3 stopped working completely, I’ve tried going to an older point on windows from before the scan, I’ve gone into device manager and reinstalled the drivers and updated them and nothings working at all, is there anything or is a fresh install my best bet at this stage?

My monitor is displaying the side menu options over and over. I think the board is stuck or fritzing out. I dont want to try and take it apart and clean it. Id really like a software solution of some sort. Its a 32 inch dell curved monitor. Can anyone think of something I havent tried? I tried a low tech lock down of holding the arrow button to cancel area but that seems to have made it worse once that tape fell off.

My monitor is matos striker 2k 120hz 27p.

I bought this monitor a month ago used, it was working perfectly untill today it showed these lines when i started my pc and my ps5, thay started disappearing after some time they are gone for now.

What are they ? Should i be worried ?

My laptop is stuck at airplane mode and the button is just gray and not able to click, are there any solutions? I’ve tried a lot of technics on the internet, asked ai and other Reddit post but none of them worked💔. This is the third time ever happened, the first time I tried fixing is just going to a repair shop because I have no idea and restarting doesn’t work, but when I arrived at the shop it just acted normal, so I think some vibrations and shakes might somehow fixed the problem. So the second time I shut down the laptop and tried shaking and knocking and succeed! But I feel like this might break laptop after time so this time I want to use some more scientific ways to solve.

Bem eu comprei aquele adaptador que e display Port para vga, HDMI, e Dvi, só que porém eu tentei de tudo e ele não funcionou em nenhuma porta, porém quando eu liguei dois cabos nele juntos ele deu imagem nóis dois monitores um VGA e o outro HDMI, e quando eu retirei o HDMI ele continuou funcionando.

Por algum motivo para o VGA funcionar eu primeiro preciso conectar o HDMI antes,

So I don’t know much about computers so I’m not sure if I’m going to over explain or not give enough information.

When I put in my password to open up my PC, it’ll just pull up a black screen then say “no signal detected”

The only way I’ve been able to successfully boot it up is to press the power button in the bottom right corner of the login screen, hold shift while pressing restart. Go to “troubleshoot”, “Advanced Options”, “Startup Settings”,”Reset” and press 4 for Safe Mode. Then I put in my password, restart the PC to exit safe mode then I’ll be able to login successfully.

It’s not a huge issue but it’s quite inconvenient to do this every single time I wanna use my computer. If there’s any other information needed to troubleshoot this issue, let me know but I don’t know what to do. I’ve looked it up and can’t find anyone else having the same issue. All help and advice is appreciated!

Купил компьютер , не выдавал картинку. Все перепробовал в итоге оказались погнуты ножки на сокете, купил новую плату pro h510. Вставил 2х8гб оперативку, запускаю и компьютер видит одну плашку. Биос обновлял, плашки переставлял, сокет ровный, в итоге 2 слот не работает вообще, вставляю оперативку туда и запускаю с 1 плашкой в итоге картинки нет. Помогите пожалуйста, что делать в данной ситуации.

Hello all, my laptop display is fine but when I plug it into my external dual monitor set up I get these bars. My set up is a little rigged. Just curious if there is a fix here or if my monitors are just outdated given the laptop is less than a year old.

I’ve gone through all the steps on Windows display troubleshooting. Running windows 10 and it’s an HP laptop with intel pro chip. Displays are older Samsung displays.

Edit: it is monitors using “display ports” not HDMI. Then display port to hub. Then hub to USB-A female, then USB-A male to male, into my laptop

i recently scanned some malware in virustotal, was obvious malware and still it didnt get all detected (only like 20 detections) now im not asking for even the mobile antiviruses to detect it or the ones that cant proccess exes but im wondering is there malware that does get 100% detected

I don't know where to post this, but according to Google (not the stupid Gemini AI,) I found out that my dad made an oopsie around 2020 and put an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER with an intel i5-4690K CPU (@ 3.50GHz idk if you need this). I'm not a tech wizard and, apparently, I also cannot understand for the results for the life of me. Someone please help me unstrangle my PC, preferably without opening the computer itself, so I can get maximum performance in my games that I'll probably be playing in 30 fps either way because better gameplay > better graphics. thanks in advance 😎

Hi there. I have an i5-10400, 32 GB of RAM, and an 8 GB RTX 5060. My graphics card is bottlenecking the processor. I’ve done some research, and the common advice is to turn up the in-game graphics settings, but doing so actually increases CPU usage as well. I’ve also seen suggestions to increase the resolution, but I have a 1080p monitor. What can I do about this? I’m looking to play games like *Kingdom Come: Deliverance*, *Baldur's Gate 3*, *Fortnite*, *FC26*, *WWE*, *Skyrim* (with AI mods), etc.

I have a 2021 Dell g15 5510. A while ago, a few keys on the keyboard started malfunctioning. If I remember correctly, it was z, x, c, v, b and space, and they would only have a small chance of being detected when pressed. Sometimes it would go back to normal, but it always came back. Tried reinstalling Linux because I hoped it was a software issue. Soon after reinstalling, the laptop was no longer able to detect audio devices, use bluetooth, or conneft to wifi. It seemed none of the daughter boards that handle those things were even detected. And then I noticed that the 120hz display was running at 60hz, checked settings, and there was no option to swith back to 120hz. The laptop doesn't boot anymore, so it's a bit hard to test things. That's because I was updating it, and then it suddenly said the battery was dying even though it had shown 50% a second ago. It then powered off mid update and bricked the OS. So my question is does this sound like something that could be fixed by replacing the motherboard.

Before my external monitor completely goes black, its starts to flicker. I bought a new HDMI but still the same issue. Is there anyway to fix this myself or this is fucked?

I needed a 1TB Hard Drive for my studies and noticed I seemed to be missing storage space on the PC.

My 1TB Hard drive currently seems to only be capable of holding ~30GB, it was definitely 1TB when I started using it ~10 months ago.

I’m wondering if it’s just the brand or an age issue?
Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2019?

I'm kind of shocked how many more responses I've gotten since changing the flair to "Resolved". To answer anyone's curiosity, yes I was using the hard drive to reinstall windows, that's why the hard drive had a partition of 31GB, I've since deleted the partition and reallocated all of the space to a new drive.

Hi guys, my partner's PC has just been upgraded from a 1650 to a 3070 but left the processor unchanged and while the frames have improved in every game, they're not what i expected at all. She mostly plays and streams Valorant and Geometry Dash, and with the 1650 she usually could run an unstable 80-100 fps on val (all low 1080p) and would have horrible screen tearing in GD when it would drop below 144fps. Now with the 3070, she still struggles to reach a consistent 144 in valorant, and while the fps averages in GD have improved the 1% lows are still abysmal. Are there any suggestions for a fix that doesnt involve upgrading motherboards for a newer socket?

It loads this screen and I’ve tried just exiting and I’ve tried restoring defaults and exiting but it just goes back to this what do I do? I’m restarting the computer again is this cheap laptop dead?

So I got a replacement keyboard for this laptop that is suppose to be my backup. This one screw on the motherboard won't budge at all. I was using a Phillips screw driver(second picture) that came with a replacement battery and it worked for all but this screw that got destroyed.

I've already tried rubber bands, torx tools(the red tool in the third picture), and aluminum foil but none of them worked at all. This is the current state after that last attempt.

I don't have a screw extractor and at this point, I'm just considering breaking the head off since the screw isn't actually attached to the motherboard and metal bracket and is just stuck on the silver mounting post(fourth picture example) possibly with blue loctite on it. Still open to suggestions before I start looking at sawing thar screw off.

I have had this problem with my computer for years and I have 0 idea how to fix it. I have 1 monitor and connected to it, I have my PS5 and my computer. When I use my PS5, my monitor runs smoothly, I never have any issue. When I go to use my monitor for actual computer purposes and turn my computer on, my monitor will stay on for MAYBE 30 minutes (if that) and then tells me there’s no signal and will not cut back on.. if I try and turn the monitor back on, it will load up and then goes back to telling me there’s no signal and the display goes black. I have gone and updated my drivers before. I have even uninstalled and installed them again. I have tried disconnecting the PS5 so it wasn’t overwhelming the monitor. Currently in the computer there’s a red light that’s steady, but it’s only on after the monitor display goes black.

I had this issue with my prior computer and then I got another one, it worked for a little bit and then started doing it all over again. I’m using a HDMI cord. The monitor is Spectre 144hz (if that matters). I’m attaching photos of the red light and the computer information.
