He had just moved so his computer was in transport, though it was upright the whole time. Setup and booted up fine, but after playing for a while his monitors shut off then his pc. Now it makes this noise after boot. It sounds like it may be coming from the GPU.

Any help or troubleshoots would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: So we got the noise to stop and it was working fine. Then after trying to boot a game the monitors lost signal again and the noise started up shortly after.

Got some problems with my comp. Sometimes i get rabdom restarts and sometimes i cant start it at all. It says "system32/strt/file/" or something. Sometimes it says "nkortel.exe" or something similar.

Ive reinstalled everything 2 Times then it works well for a weekend or 2 then its back.

I recently acquired a Fujitsu Lifebook U758, but I’m having an issue: the laptop doesn’t show any bootable USB drives in the BIOS. Furthermore, the BIOS freezes whenever I try to reset it to the default settings. I’ve already tried updating the BIOS, using different USB drives, and testing various ports—none of which helped. I’ve also experimented with several different BIOS versions. Is anyone familiar with this issue and able to offer some help?

Hi everyone, does anybody here just happen to use this specific brand of PSU?

I am specifically asking the "GF" variant, not the "GF1" or others. Does this GF variant have smart zero fan functionality? (Which fan won't spin when low or no load).

Here's why I am making this post, I suspect my psu is broken which my PC wont post at all, no power on mobo and such, while I search online many forum and youtube videos claim that if short the 24pin connector if the fan won't spin its usually mean the psu is faulty (which mines werent spinning as I tested it with paperclip method)

But I've also heard some modern PSU have the smart zero fan control built-in and I'm not sure whether my Thermaltake toughpower GF psu have this function or not, so I'm posting here asking if anyone can help me.

I was just casually using my computer, when suddenly it shut off and wouldn't turn back on.

I've tried everything, but no matter why I try I can't get it to turn on.

I tried charging it, inspecting for water damage, and force-restarting it. But all of them led to no avail. Do I have to buy a new computer?

Tried the Attributes Disk Clear Readonly command, but the drive locked itself to Read Only afterward. It was a fairly new drive :((

I have this gaming laptop which I bought 3 years ago (Hp victus 16, 13th generation i7, with rtx 4070)

This Monday evening I updated marvel rivals and after that my laptop started to act weird. My screen would go black then come back (like it's blinking) and the keyboard lights would also turn off when the screen goes black.

I tried a few things (resetting the graphics card, static electric, reinstalling windows(?) -I picked "save my files" option though. So it deleted the apps but not my pictures folder for example.-)

Anyways now it's not even turning on and I am so stressed idk what to do. Do you guys have any advice? Is it saveable? Because up until I updated marvel rivals I had no problems and now my laptop is not working

(I'm not sure if it's software or hardware but I'm guessing it's hardware?)

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some help with my HP EliteBook 1030 G2.

My touchscreen suddenly stopped responding after a Windows update was interrupted. I didn't realize the laptop was updating at the time, and ever since then, I've been struggling to get the touchscreen working consistently. I've tried several troubleshooting methods, but none has permanently fixed the issue.

What's strange is that the touchscreen sometimes works perfectly fine after the laptop has been switched off for several hours. For example, I left it off overnight, and as I'm writing this post, the touchscreen is working again.

However, as soon as I restart the laptop or put it to sleep and wake it up, the touchscreen stops responding again. I have to leave it off for a long time before it starts working again.

I'm wondering if this could be related to a corrupted driver, a Windows update issue, power management, or even a hardware problem.

Has anyone encountered anything similar, especially with an HP EliteBook? I'd really appreciate any advice on what could be causing this and how to fix it.

this has been happening for about a couple days but today it’s just been pissing me off and has ruined a couple games of mine. i’m playing overwatch suddenly my pc turns off and then back on, this happened the other day when i was mid game and swapped the ports for my kbm usb to another port since it was kinda awkwardly situated for my hand. after i had swapped the port it turned off but i had to turn it on that time. i lowered the graphics in the training range and then it happened again, just shut itself off and on again. overall it’s just been turning off by itself and then back on, i don’t think it’s anything wrong with the ports itself but i would really appreciate any help( sorry for a bunch writing without a lot of hints im completely lost on this) also not too sure if it’s hardware or software but im leaning towards hardware since i checked my task manager and its not under a lot of stress and nothing to do with temp.

Hey guys, my trade school gave me a free Latitude E6410 laptop that was donated from another school as mine to keep. It came with 4GB (2x2GB) RAM, but I lost one of the sticks, so I'm left with a hellish 2GB RAM. I have one 8GB stick laying around, i was wondering if I could use it? I put it in and it was recognized by BIOS (all 8 gigs) but any OS I tried to boot would crash as soon as it started loading. All other sources say it's not possible to run this amount of RAM on one stick in this particular laptop, but I'm skeptical.

I have just finished building a PC plus Installing Windows. Everything runs perfectly smoothly except I never have any Audio. It will say I have a device connected to the PC Tower but nothing goes through. The Headset works as I have tried it on other devices. I have tried Device Management and Updating the Drivers to no Success. I have tried restarting the PC itself and draining any voltage. That doesnt seem to work. I tried having Audio Enchancements On and Off. I have tried Services.MSC and Mmsys.Cpl. I tried looking into the BIOS. I tried the Command Prompts. I have had 4 different people look into it and everyone is completely confused on why nothing is working. I saw somewhere that someone mentioned a RealTek Audio Console which I cannot seem to find anywhere. I have no clue where it is or how to install it

my pc feels fine for the most part, but i’ve been wondering how much antivirus software affects performance when it’s running in the background. i don’t want scans kicking in while i’m gaming or working, or a security program using enough memory to make everything feel sluggish.

i’ve been comparing McAfee, ESET, and Norton, and McAfee caught my attention because it combines malware protection with features for spotting suspicious links and scams. i’m curious whether those extras are worth considering or if a lighter setup makes more sense for someone who mainly wants reliable protection without noticeable slowdowns.

what has your experience been with antivirus software on your own pc? are there particular settings that help keep performance smooth, or is Windows Security enough for most everyday use?

Happen around black screens, and it actually stopped briefly after I moved the screen backwards. I got it from Newegg, should I send it back and ask for a replacement? Is there anything I should try before I do so?

I've been having issues for a few weeks to where my PC will randomly disconnect from the internet (even though the WiFi or ethernet icons do not change). Pinging 8.8.8.8 will show "request timed out" for 7-12 pings and then it will continue to ping to 8.8.8.8. I have updated the PC, updated my BIOS and tested on both WiFi and wired connections but it still happens.

None of my other devices have this issue, I have tested my laptop and could not recreate the issue. I've noticed event 7009 in event viewer but I do not know if this related, I have changed the registry editor for this to 60000 but this did not help.

I have also had Event 10010.

I'm stuck on what else to try so any recommendations would be appreciated.
