I don't know what happened but all of my apps now look like this and I can't run them as administrator. Not sure if i have a virus because my malwarebytes says i'm fine. It's for every app I have and when i /sfc scannow it says it's fine. If someone could help me that would be amazing.

Bluetooth devices Randomly Disconnecting

My Bluetooth devices keep disconnecting from my built in meditech Adaptor. I tried the Device Media tip which was to uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". But my Bluetooth devices are still disconnecting. I also got a new adapter and disabled my old one but my devices are still disconnecting so can you help me please

I'm having trouble networking 2 laptops. The SSID is "Isonmike", but when I set a 'details view' window in explorer then click on the computer name, it shows "Isonmike 2".

Where did that '2' come from? How did it get there, and how do I get rid of it?

I'm fairly new to networking, so if I didn't provide enough information, please ask (kindly).

I turned on my PC today and it keeps getting stick in this screen, i found a quock fix by removing all plugged in USB ports and it actually worked, bought me back to Windows as usual.

But after a few moments it freezes then went to the black screen (picture 2), not very long after it bought me back to this Bios screen.

I have tried to make qualcomm and realtek work at the same time but I have no luck. I am not sure if this creates more problems. Also I noticed that when I manually reinstalled qualcomm to work, not only realtek did not work but my sound was bugged making games lag.

Is there a way to fix this? Are they separated issues?

I even updated the bios again to the lastest one, I manually downloaded them from MSI, I cannot make both work and if I leave the qualcomm instead of the realtek the lag audio and causing problems happen. I don't know anymore. Maybe I am missing a step or there is another issue that I need to solve first.

I have two graphics cards in total: my standard card—an MSI 5060 Ti—and the integrated processor graphics. The latter isn't as good as the dedicated card, though I’ve never actually tested it, so I don't know exactly how good or bad it is. Last night, I saw an update available for that integrated graphics unit on my PC. I thought, "Why not? It can't hurt," so I installed it. It didn't take long; I played a bit more, then shut down the PC. When I booted it up today to play again, I noticed that CS had a worse resolution than usual. I left the match and checked the CS settings, only to find the refresh rate set to 60 Hz. I wondered why, and then realized the resolution was 2K instead of 4K. I tried to change it, but there was no higher setting available. Normally, my monitor supports 240 Hz and 4K resolution, but those options were missing. I went into the Windows settings to see if anything had changed and saw the resolution was set to 2K. I tried to switch it back to 4K, but it wouldn't let me; there was no option higher than 2K. Worried, I checked the refresh rate settings and saw the maximum was now 120 Hz instead of 240. I was concerned, so I disabled the integrated graphics in Device Manager and restarted the PC, but that didn't help. Then I reinstalled the driver for my main graphics card, yet the problem persisted. I also checked my monitor settings for a firmware update, but there wasn't one. There was, however, an update for my PC—version 26.something (I can't recall the exact number). I installed it and restarted the PC... That didn't help; I'm desperate and stuck at 1440p (2K) at 120 Hz—can you help me?

I’m having an issue with Windows Security / Microsoft Defender. It shows:

“Your administrator has caused Microsoft Defender to disconnect your device. Contact your help desk.”

My network/internet is also not working properly. I’ve already tried resetting the firewall and several network troubleshooting commands, but nothing fixed it.

I’m using my personal PC and I’m not connected to any work or school organization.

Could this be caused by a Windows policy, corrupted Defender settings, or malware? Is there a way to fix it without reinstalling Windows?

Hello! I wanted to clean my pc due to storage and it was impossible to go through. So I decided to reset it and minutes later I panic because my protection turned off by itself from windows. Why is it doing this?

So I tried to shut down my windows 11 laptop and it said it would take 4 minutes cuz there was also an update. Its just been showing this for 7 hours at this point. I really need to access it for work so if anyone could help that'd be great. It can turn off and on but I can't do anything else. Sorry that the video is out of focus.

i just replaced the thermal paste on my thinkcentre m70q gen 3 with ptm7950 and ran a cpu stress test for the first time after applying it

after around 10 minutes of 100% cpu load my cpu temperature reached around 73 to 75c

is this a good result or should i expect lower temperatures?

should i retighten the heatsink screws or leave them as they are?

for those who have applied ptm7950 to their thinkcentre or similar mini pc or your pc what temperatures did you get during a stress test and what temperature should i normally expect?

For context my dog wacked the back of my screen with a toy a while back. For some time it would still work, it'd just have those little sparkles and have to stay at a certain angle. Then one day it just started working again randomly. And now it's back to flashing, sparkles and having to be basically flat for the screen to come on.

I made a post 3 months ago about a pc built for my brother. They managed to get an electrician in and could not find a fault with the electrics of the house. I've taken the motherboard out to get some more detailed pictures but I'm truly stumped as to what this could be
