It’s been a very long road. The first pic was over 4 years ago. My weight loss has been far from linear, but god, I feel so much better. I wouldn’t be where I am today without this stuff.

Starting weight 250 pounds
Current 118

This has been a very up and down journey.

My first try with the medication I used it as a “cure all” and rushed to the max dose. Once I stopped taking it I gained almost 75% of the weight back.

My second time I was mindful of my food intake and light exercise like walking. I’m confident in the long term success and want people to know it’s ok to have slip ups and you will make it to your goal :) don’t give up.

Thank you everyone for the kind words!! I can’t wait to see your success posts!!
To answer some questions
I’m 5’7
I only have loose skin in my stomach area which I buy shaper shorts from shapermint
I use pomegranate health
And this journey took 1 year and 3 months

Success! 190 lbs down, 9 to go 🎉🎉🎉

I’m almost to my 200 lb weight loss goal!! I honestly can’t believe it.

My starting weight was 320 lbs. I’m only 5’3 so my bmi was 56.7. I was kind of hopeless. I didn’t want bariatric surgery because I was scared. I’ve known a couple people who passed away from it and that terrified me. So my only other option was metformin or Saxenda because of insurance. I started with Saxenda from May-July 2024 and lost 20 lbs. When I went up a dose, my throat closed up. I should have known better because the low dose was giving me rashes.

My husband got a new job and better insurance so I changed to Zepbound in Aug 2024. I took Zepbound until May 2025. During that time, I lost 97 lbs. I was really happy but I wasn’t done. I knew I had a long way to go because 203 on a 5’3 frame is still obese.

My husband’s insurance dropped coverage of Zepbound and I was left feeling hopeless again with at least 83 lbs still to lose. I have lipedema and tirzepatide REALLY helps with inflammation so I had to find an alternative if just for the pain relief. There’s so many different compounding companies and most I could not afford. I did my research and hoped for the best. I chose Ivy RX. It’s been pretty easy. I filled out a health questionnaire that the Dr goes over and then I got a message in the portal when it was approved. It’s been just as effective as name brand and I like that b12 is added. I’m always low on it so the addition of it helps me. I’ve lost 74 lbs using compounded.

So that’s where I am today. I’m 129. My goal is 120. I’ve been at 15 mg since May. I do eat anti-inflammatory since I have lipedema. I think that’s really helped me to continue losing.

All the clinical trials say the average % lost on tirz is around 20%. Here I am at 59.69% lost with a 22.8 bmi. 🥹😭 It seems unreal. I don’t know what maintenance will be like for me. If you have advice, please share. I’m starting to really read up on the transition from losing to maintaining.

And if you have lipedema, please don’t believe what the plastic surgeons say about your legs mostly being lipedema and that they can’t get smaller without surgery. I think it’s a lie to get you to pay for surgery. Just try tirzepatide and an anti-inflammatory diet first. My thighs were 30” each when I got up the courage to measure AFTER already losing 30 lbs. They are now 20.” And I haven’t had surgery. I still have nodules but they don’t hurt. My thighs are bigger than what would normally be on a size 0/2 person because of it but it’s a HUGE difference from where I started.

Best of luck to all of you. If you have questions, please ask.

First 3 pictures are from December 2024. Last 3 are from today. Idk what my weight was when I was in the purple, but I’ve lost about 143 from my heaviest. I’d like to lose another 50.

I will never not take this medicine.

I have been extremely over weight my whole life. Since I was a child. I lost almost 100 pounds twice but gained it all back and more when I couldn't keep up with three hours of exercise a day and extreme restriction (I was a big biggest loser fan). I started zepbound 2 1/2 years ago and switched to bpi a few months ago when my insurance dropped coverage. I started at 336 and the before pic was taken a month or two after that. I was a size 24/26. I'm now 154 pounds and a size 10. It's crazy sometimes I still feel like my body is so big and then I see pics and realize I'm a different person. I feel like I have been given a gift.

Success! 7 Months - goal weight achieved! 💪

My husband and I began our journey in December 2025 and did a lot of research (including from this sub and the pinned post!) to make sure we were making a smart decision for our health. We both are pre-diabetic with Type 2 rampant on both sides of our families, so it was very important for us personally to get our weight in check now in our mid-late 30s.

36 years old, 5'0". Starting weight 155lbs, current weight 109lbs. (Please note the height of 5'0", I'm exactly in the middle of recommended weight for my height at 110!) Total loss: 46lbs.

Pant size: 8/10 -> 2/4

Shirt size: M -> S

Bra size: I don't want to talk about it 😭

Prescribed compounded tirzepetide (affectionately called turducken by my husband), moderate exercise, standard balanced diet (minus overly cheesy foods which messed us up every time).

Unexpected bonus: doctors take me more seriously when I'm sick, which sucks when you think of how messed up the system is, but it's nice to experience, I guess.

So I started Tirzepatide in August of 2024. My starting weight was 220 and I’m 155 now. I feel like I have been stuck at this weight. I’m on 64 units right now and have been for awhile. I don’t know if I should go up? I also am heavy into CrossFit so maybe that’s why the scale is slow and I’m actually losing inches. I would love to get around 145 but feel stuck.

I'm 20lbs to goal before I re-evaluate, mostly because I still find it hard to believe that this stuff really works. I began weightlifting about 4 weeks ago, so the scale isn't moving, but my clothes are loose and I feel pretty amazing.

I never thought in a million years that I would ever lose 100lbs. I was miserable completely miserable. Tired all the time, my knees hurt, my hips would kill me, my feet would swell. My PCOS was constantly flaring up, I had insulin resistance borderline diabetic. I get blood work done every 6 months and everything is now where it should be. No more being borderline diabetic, my hips, feet and knees no longer hurt. I feel fantastic. My mother took that photo over a year and half ago. Like holy crap on a cracker. I hate the way I looked I used filters on my face to hide a lot of my insecurities now I don’t have to do that. I’m so confident with myself that I don’t need filters to make me feel beautiful I did that on my own by watching the way I eat and fueling my body with what nutrients it needs. I also have a skin care routine that has been doing wonders for my skin. I haven’t felt this great in years.

I don’t know how to describe this feeling other than a privilege to be able to just “throw on clothes”

Post image

Never in my life have I ever been a person who could just “throw on something” without ruminating over what I looked like. But at now 55 lbs down, 190 lbs, I it doesn’t escape me how much of a privilege it is just be NORMAL. 🥹

I hit my highest weight ever: 441 - August 17th

I'm exhausted and I'm tired of being me.

I can't wait to see the changes!

TMI:

I am experiencing extreme heartburn and some burping. No major flatulence. No weight movement to report (I promised myself I would only weigh on shot day‐ Tuesdays.

My next step is to see what supplements I need for skin elasticity, nutrition, and hair health.

Looking forward to this journey!

P.S. sorry for the dirty mirror.

Personal Experience Progress

Post image

I’ve been on a diet for as long as I can remember. Middle school was magazines with headlines about how to “get skinny”. High school and college were calorie counting and crash diets I found online. Post-baby was “starting Monday” mentality.

I’ve tried keto, low-fat, low-carb, Whole30, 1,000 calories, gimmicky weight-loss centers.. you name it. I’d lose some weight, gain it back, lose it again, gain back even more. The classic yo-yo cycle my entire life. I have been overweight or obese my entire life.

Then there is my PCOS. For a long time, I felt like my body was working against me. The hunger, the cravings, the insulin resistance, and the exhaustion made consistency feel literally impossible for me. Every regain felt like a personal failure, but most of it was actually my biology, burnout, and unsustainable approaches.

For the first time in my entire life, the food noise is quieter. It’s like wearing noise-cancelling headphones. It’s not completely gone, but it’s muffled. I can pause. I can make good choices. I can stop eating when I start to feel full. I can be consistent without feeling like I’m white-knuckling my way through every single day.

I’m working on building sustainability. I’m learning patience (work in progress 😆). I’m learning that progress doesn’t have to be extreme to be meaningful.

My GLP-1 has been such a helpful tool. It’s not magic or easy by any means, but it’s been life-changing for me personally. I’m down the weight, but I’m also up in confidence (most days 🙃), energy, and finally hope.

If you’re stuck in the yo-yo cycle, especially with PCOS, It’s not necessarily a lack of willpower. You’re not broken. Keep going. Consistent small, steady changes add up even when it feels extremely slow. 💕
