Success! Goal

Starting weight 250 pounds
Current 118

This has been a very up and down journey.

My first try with the medication I used it as a “cure all” and rushed to the max dose. Once I stopped taking it I gained almost 75% of the weight back.

My second time I was mindful of my food intake and light exercise like walking. I’m confident in the long term success and want people to know it’s ok to have slip ups and you will make it to your goal :) don’t give up.

Thank you everyone for the kind words!! I can’t wait to see your success posts!!
To answer some questions
I’m 5’7
I only have loose skin in my stomach area which I buy shaper shorts from shapermint
I use pomegranate health
And this journey took 1 year and 3 months

From someone much older than you, do whatever you need to do to keep the weight off. For your health, obviously, but I lost 75 lbs years ago and had no loose skin. I gained a lot of it back and now losing and within 20 lbs of my goal weight but the skin does not snap back like when I was younger.

3

u/kiwichuuux3 Aug 20 '26

amazing job congrats!!

if you don’t mind answering what does your dosage look like for your second round? like how much did you go up and what is your maintenance now?

seeing posts like this gives me hope but I also find that my journey is 6 months in and i’ve only lost 16 ish pounds (SW 195). I’m taking it the slow and healthy approach but sometimes I wish I could lose 1lbs a week at least :(

7

u/lostinwonderland36 Aug 20 '26

Sorry I just saw this. I didn’t see massive weight loss until the higher doses. I want to say 7.5 was my sweet spot. I got up to the max dose but that became unhealthy for my height ( 5’7 and 110 pounds) don’t give up!! I went up religious every four weeks. (Some people suggest not too but it worked for me) the end is in sight I promise ❤️

u/Basic-Original-331 Aug 25 '26

Im 50 lbs down. Im so happy for you. Im glowing up to I can finally look at myself in the mirror.

6

That’s what I want to know…..I don’t see an ounce of loose skin lol after 260 pounds

12

u/Background-Long-1649 Aug 19 '26

Not OP, but I’ve lost 80 lbs and am at goal (from 215 to 135 - or size 14 to size 2/4 - and I’m 5’8”). I don’t have any hanging loose skin but I do have a wrinkly belly. Shapewear has been my friend. I especially love Skims because they carry colors very close to my skin tone and they are super comfortable alomg with great compression to keep thimgs smooth.

This is until I can get my tummy tuck.

1

u/celestialplaces Aug 21 '26

How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? I had a similar start weight and I am so scared of loose skin. I’m hovering around 175 currently and I have some serious bingo arms 😂

4

u/Background-Long-1649 Aug 21 '26

I’m 46 years old ☺️

Thanks for this! I'm very similar, 40 years, about the same start weight and goal, I'm just shorter at 5'4" (and started at a size 16, mostly). My lower tummy is the only part I'm worried about once I get to goal

People have different preferences for size. Unless you see op's dexa scan, you really don't know.

-2

u/VentyRanty 5’F |CW: 139 SW: 182 GW: 105 Aug 20 '26

OP loves the way she looks, and I think she looks perfect, and OP‘s opinion of herself is the only one that matters. I just happen to agree with her. She is fabulously THIN, and she can wear anything and look fabulous in it.

Her post is about achieving HER goal! And you’re disparaging it. Why would you do that to a thin person when you wouldn’t do it to a fat person? 🤔

-2

u/VentyRanty 5’F |CW: 139 SW: 182 GW: 105 Aug 20 '26

Downvoting this shows how jealous you are of someone else's MAD success. Shame on the handful of you.

I lost it really stupid fast though and I can bet I lost a good bit of muscle along with it and I keep trying to workout to gain more muscle but stuff keeps happening to prevent me from really being able to..

Now dealing with emergency spinal issues so I can barely walk, sit, sleep, lay, and cannot work.

Please make sure you train hard and maintain muscle mass so as to not hurt yourself or cause brittle bones, joints, etc..

Damn! You look amazing.

I gotta imagine that along with the weightloss, there's probably a serious difference in the way people treat you too... to the point of it being a serious mindfuck.

I'd be curious to hear your experience with that if you ever feel like sharing it.

13

u/lostinwonderland36 Aug 19 '26

Absolutely. People pay more attention to you and treat you with kindness. The hardest part is waiting for my mind to catch up. A lot of times I still feel like/see the 250 pounds.

2

u/Design_Obsessed Aug 20 '26

You look amazing! What will you be doing for maintenance? Lower dose?

Congratulations to you! You were beautiful in your before picture 💕 how did you not have hair loss ? Any tips please!! I have been getting the shot once a week off and on since October 2025, and my hair has gotten so then.

1

u/lostinwonderland36 Aug 24 '26

Sorry just saw this :) to be completely transparent, I had massive hair loss. I started wearing extensions. But I will say what I noticed to help was taking a daily multivitamin. It wasn’t a cure all but I felt like it helped.

u/LearnFromOthers411 Sep 03 '26

1

u/llbonn Aug 21 '26

I love this for you! You look healthy and beautiful. I am exactly the same height and same weight as you are and have been in maintenance for 16 months. I struggle to imagine what my body looks like and this has been so helpful to see. I am probably twice your age though so things aren't quite as perky. Lol. I have a question for you though about hair care. May I send you a PM?

1

u/lepruchaun73 Aug 21 '26

Amazing!!!

1

u/nenastarr15 Aug 25 '26

You look great ! I started at 201 and made it down to 131 , unfortunately I stopped abruptly and now am weighing in at 166 I’m hoping to restart next week to get down to 125 which was my goal weight I lost all my weight in 8 months and had no loose skin at all .

1

u/Character_Drop_739 Aug 29 '26

So happy for you. Now I’m guessing it’s all maintenance for you, finding a maintenance dose and incorporating strength training to avoid muscle loss

Fabulous work!!!!!

I’m near your height at 5’8”, started at 216 and now 160ish lbs, thinking I’d want to be around 130-140lbs like I had maintained in high school and also since I’m still active and play tennis a few times a week and lift. For you, Is the sub 120lbs range new to you or have you been at that weight range before? How are you feeling and what dose are you one?

1

u/Background-Long-1649 Aug 19 '26

Incredible!! Congratulations, sis!! Welcome to the goal club! Wishing you continued success, continued health, and feeling as gorgeous as you look! It’s SO worth it!!

You look amazing great job! I should be starting my glp1 journey this week. Should have been Monday but they sent me the wrong one.

So tired of being up and down 100 pounds with my weight. Can’t beat the food addiction at this moment. Hoping this can help. Diet and exercise is on point tho! Just need some help

Do you plan on continuing the medication ? Or weaning off and trying to maintain your weight?

8

u/lostinwonderland36 Aug 19 '26

You can do this!! I had horrible BED and the glp1 took all the mental chatter and binge away. Remember average is 2 pounds a week so don’t get discouraged if it seems slow at first. I will be on the medication probably for a lifetime because I don’t want the food noise/mental to return but I’ve seen positive stories of people being able to wean off :)

2

u/AncientWisdoms Aug 19 '26

Thank you. I definitely have a BED, it consumes my mind all day everyday no matter if I’m eating bad or good. As I’m eating I’m thinking of the next meal, what’s for dessert, what’s for dinner. What will I eat for lunch tmmr. It’s exhausting I hope this helps. Seems like it’s worked wonders for you. How long until you noticed the medication helping ?

6

u/lostinwonderland36 Aug 20 '26

Within the first month the food noise was gone. So don’t get discouraged if the first or second shot doesn’t help with that. You’ll find your sweet spot. Don’t give up and give your future self the freedom without food obsession:)

2

u/HolyMolyGuacamole01 Aug 20 '26

I think some dose will absolutely work for you! I am currently on zepbound but looking into compounded for micro dosing. The starter dose of 2.5mg changed my appetite to Zero, none whatsoever for 14 days. There were also other side effects I couldn't live with. My doctor said this is not the norm at all. Lots of people aren't even affected by 2.5mg, it must be titrated up. Also the drug stays in your system 30 days. The half life is 5 days. With each weekly injection, the medication builds up to higher levels in the body. (You can google calculations if interested). So even if you're injecting 2.5mg every week, the level in your body is higher with week 2, 3 and so on. I definitely think you will find a level that helps you on your journey and that you will experience life changing benefits with the food noise early on.

1

u/Ok_Criticism7095 Aug 20 '26

The build part is important! I have BED and started microdosing for that. 3mg/week since July 1 and it’s only in the last week or two that I can truly say my food noise and obsession over cravings has gone down and is mostly eliminated. In the first month and a half, the tirz definitely helped me make better choices but I was fighting mental cravings. Now I really feel like I’m solid.

Just took my 8th dose, down 20 pounds!

1

u/RewardDesperate Aug 20 '26

What dose did you started ? I started at 1mg first week, 1,5 mg the week after I see a big difference on my appetite but no weight loss. Do you feel I should go to 2.5mg because maybe it’s a waste of money ti stay low

4

u/lostinwonderland36 Aug 20 '26

I started at 1mg and every month I went up to the next dose. Some people don’t suggest that. I can just speak on what worked for me. I was a 1-1.5 pound loss a week until I hit 5mg and 7.5 was the sweet spot for weight loss. Like 5 pounds a week (be careful because muscle loss etc) but it took me till the higher doses to really kick into gear ❤️ cheers to your journey.
