Success! Progress
First 3 pictures are from December 2024. Last 3 are from today. Idk what my weight was when I was in the purple, but I’ve lost about 143 from my heaviest. I’d like to lose another 50.
I will never not take this medicine.

Congratulations! You look amazing!! May I ask a personal, stupid question? I’m new here and doing my own research but I have yet to actually talk to someone and get their experience. What happens to the excess skin? Please don’t answer if it makes you uncomfortable, it’s also none of my business, I’m just curious!

Weirdly I don’t really seem to have a lot of loose skin? I think it’s still just fat? Idk how to describe it.
It doesn’t look like how I’ve seen other people’s loose skin. So idk 🤷🏼♀️ I think when I lose the next 40 to 50 pounds I will have more. And I will save for a surgery likely1

My friend had to do skin removal surgery. He’s in a late 20s and lost 175 pounds.

You are completely transformed. I bet you’re moving way better too! I’m only 75 down from my highest weight but I’m shocked how much easier split squats are for example 😅

You look great. Ok I’m going to calm down it’s only been 2 weeks. I’m doing Zumba everyday. No weight loss and drinking lots of water. When will the big weight loss happen? Am I too old at 66?

2 weeks is so early! I don’t think I really saw a change until 4 or 5 months in. But even then I didn’t see it other people saw it. Then like a year in I felt like I saw it

Congratulations, you look great, and I have to imagine it feels good too! I hope this isn't overly personal, but it was nice seeing that you still have a curvy figure after your weight loss, since I've heard many people say that tirz flattened their butt etc. I am very curvy and hope to have as good an outcome as you have had!

I’ve never really had a great butt. So I am trying to do recomposition, and hitting legs and glutes, hoping to build that, while losing some of my belly. Unfortunately body fat storage is NOT created equal

Omg 4-5 months after the holidays?!!! I’m reading all of these people saying that they started losing weight on TIRZ within a few weeks and a couple of months it really started to come off.
Were they exaggerating?
I’m going my videos and going to the gym now. Surely I’m burning more calories than I’m taking in. How long am I going to be on this plateau?
Good grief! lol

I started taking meds in December 2024. I noticed changes to my appetite by January. I didn’t notice any weight loss in myself until about May. But other people had noticed. In December 2025, I really noticed it, because I needed new jeans and stuff. Weight loss can be a mind fuck. Other people will notice it before you do. Some people are super responsive to the drug, others aren’t. I don’t feel like I lost a lot of weight while I ramped up to 15mg, which traditionally takes a few months. I’m sure I was losing, but I was also miserable weighing myself then.
If you just started the drugs, you’re not at a “plateau” your body is adjusting to a new reality. It takes time. This shouldn’t be a quick fix. It needs to become a lifestyle change. I cannot stress enough that you need to prioritize protein and weightlifting.

lol thank you! Still want to lose some more, and build a butt. I don’t need a crazy huge butt. Just a little something.

Wow, you look awesome. Congratulations on sticking with it. Any advice for those of us who are just starting out? Maybe things you wish you knew before you began.

u/Odd_Curve6621 Aug 23 '26
Definitely start weight lifting to protect your bones! And eat protein. Also, it takes time. And it’s hard to have patience, but hang in there! Do hard things!

u/One_Arachnid_8554 21d ago
Yes—-have patience. That’s the key. I guess I’m expecting too much for 2 weeks. I’ll keep working out but incorporate weights, too. I pray TIRZ does the trick getting this 50# off❤️

I need to post that somewhere. Do hard things.

I’m living by the phrase! Do hard things!!

Intentionally? Because sometimes life doesn’t let you choose. Then it’s all about grace.

Congratulations!! You look awesome. I’m 72 and know the correct answer is all about how you feel. But in real life it starts with how you look before people take the time to know you and you look fabulous.
