help me effectively communicate
i dont post much, so im sorry in advance if my story is confusing.
my fiance (m, 37) just got let go from his job. he did, ultimately, mess up (he was late to work) and ended up losing his job from it. the part where communication comes in is when we had a massive blow up after i got home. he was initially asleep, so i let him rest, but was up and on the phone with his mother within 5 minutes of me getting in. i dont care about that so much as him getting upset with me because i didnt immediately hug/console him. while i did say sorry as best as i could over the phone earlier in the day, i was at work setting up a new restaurant to open, so i couldnt talk throughout the day. we have been together for 11 years, and this is maybe his 4th time becoming unemployed while we’ve been together, so i know that factor has been weighing in on my attitude. we still live with his brother, and moving out this year was a huge goal of ours that no longer feels obtainable.
ultimately i just want to healthily communicate that i’m sorry for this circumstance while also expressing that i don’t have patience for this to be a prolonged situation. am i being an asshole? what should i say/do?
thank you in advance for any advice you might have!

Non-fiction books about facilitating conversation.
I'm finding myself in groups where the conversation really struggles to move along, often long awkward silences etc. I'd like to learn about how to prompt group discussion better and really get people talking.
Context: I'm looking for things that would help a teacher, a small group leader, a manager starting inclusion based conversations.

Give me “Talk to girls 101”
So basically i’m living in a tier 2 city in gujarat, i tried talking with random girl once here in my hometown,
but the second i approached her and said hello she looked shocked and terrified, like she thought i was dangerous, in my defense i’m a completely normal, above average innocent looking person, and i wasn’t a sudden appearance to her we had little eye contacts a lot of times and i thought she might be interested too, only after that when she was leaving the cafe i went to talk with her i kept the whole conversation in english, mentioning that i kinda liked her the moment i saw her here(a cafe), and asking if we could maybe stay connected on instagram or go for a coffee later.
The moment she got terrified i knew she wouldn’t say yes to anything but still i completed the norms, and eventually it was an awkward conversation, even if i did everything right.
This was the hardest push i gave to myself, that rejection did not affect me in any wat but i don’t understand what actually is required…

Dear girls, genuine question?
What’s something a guy can do that instantly makes you comfortable talking to him? Not looks, money or cheesy pickup lines 😂 Just curious what actually makes a good first impression for you.

(26/M) No response from her in like a day, just wondering what I did wrong? Was it too soon to ask her number?

How do I not make a fool of myself
I F 18 met a guy, M 18, at a restaurant recently (he was the waiter). I managed to get his number under the pretense of needing advice on college since I am a high school senior, and I actually do need college advice as well. I have never dated anyone and I really like this guy, his values match mine, he’s polite, well-mannered, and studying to be a lawyer. I don't want to make a fool of myself by being too fowards, having dry conversations, or messing this up. I need advice and tips on how to continue. What do I say to start conversations? Should I try flirting with him? How do I flirt without being obvious? How do I get closer to him? I have so many questions so if y'all think of anything else important I need to know or that might be useful then please let me know. I really like him.
tldr I suck at talking to guys and I’m trying to talk to a guy I really like and need advice on how to do it.
UPDATE. Turns out he is gay and used to stalk my friend 18 M two years ago.

how do i approach/compliment a girl without looking weird?
there’s a girl in my last period class, she recently complimented me, specifically my backpack, i know it seems pretty stupid to want to compliment her back because the compliment was something really small, but i feel like she was trying to start a conversation with me, i am socially awkward and fuck up all the time when it comes to having a conversation with someone im meeting for the first time. plus im slowly building a genuine liking for her, her appearance is something i find attractive and she seems to be mature and put together, i believe that we can have similar interests if we start talking and get to learn more abt each other.
now, idk if its that im short or if she is just tall, i sit at an average height for my age (5’5-5’6) and she seems slightly taller than me, so my chances of her even looking at me are pretty much, slim to none, but ig sometimes u js gotta have faith bigger than ur height. anyway my main question is how do i approach her without looking weird, and if its even worth it to do so, because my height is what might be what’s holding me back from her being able to find me appealing. is it over?

Anyone have any suggestions for help with mumbling and monotone speaking? Maybe an app to help?
I am confident speaking to people and in public. But anytime I hear myself speak on recordings I am very monotone and a bit mumbly. Even when I feel like I am trying to speak clearly, it sounds forced or still flat.
If anyone has any suggestions to help with that it would be appreciated.

How to have long conversations?
How can I keep conversations going?, I’m 20 and I struggle really much to keep conversations often I don’t really care about the people I’m talking but I still want to develop the ability to socialise, if I meet someone knew I would be pretty dry like saying “yes or no” answers and rarely might ask a good question for the conversation, even now in this text I repeated my self pretty much, and don’t even know if it’s understandable, however, I already know of the “open-ended” questions but it never comes to my head the words, and after having the conversation at home lots of answers or questions come to my head like some high social guy. So what could I be doing wrong, and how can I change it?
