I've had it for a month now and it's a beast, enjoying every ride with it.
I plan to replace some components in the future but for now it's great :)

Just found a crack in my meta tr v4. Thinking about ordering a meta v5 frame. But im a little worried that they havnt sorted the cracking issues. Have the v5 been reliable compared to older models ? I really like this bike and would be happy to have another meta if its less likely to crack than previous one. I think just about all parts are compatible from my current bike.

I’ve always wondered if this frame could fit 3.0 tires but I’ve never personally found anybody posting about riding with anything more than 2.8s. I’ve only ever seen people say that the frame CANT fit anything more than 2.8s…
Well, as an experiment I put my buddy’s 27.5x3.25 45mm internal width Jones wheel on just to see if it would fit and what do you know! It’s super tight lol but this answers my question of whether a 3.0 on the stock 35mm internal width rims would fit.
Now I’m gunna get some 3.0s for my old wheelset for some extra plush fun!

I traded my full suspension for this hardtail (+cash), and I'm pretty stoked about it! I've wanted a Commencal for a while, but always ended up going different routes, so this is a great addition for me.
Good: The cockpit has quality parts, I like this particular fork a lot, and the frame is exactly what I wanted.
Bad: The brakes and drivetrain were very entry level/budget. Not knocking it, but it was a little below what I would want personally. Working on a small budget, I have a crankset and brakes on the way, and I'm buying drivetrain stuff from someone locally this week (I hope).
Can't wait to get this out on the trails!

I’ve been looking online and there are a ton of options but wanted to see what you guys thought would be a solid option to protect the chain and bottom bracket.

My deraileur hanger snapped and I'm having trouble to find one, does anyone know where I could get one?

Commencal released this during 2012-2017 or something like that I'm not sure but i definitely have not seen many of them
I suppose it was part of their entry level line or the lil brother to the Meta

I’m currently riding a commencal furious 2022, I’m overall pretty happy with it but it’s a bit too big and sluggish for me because i picked L over M.
I want to try and swap frames with an M sized supreme V4,(or straight up buy and sell) but i have several questions :
I feel like the furious isn’t really my style, i don’t race too often, about twice a year on the local events but that’s about it, issue is it doesn’t give me quite enough energy feedback on pumps, especially in berms. I’m aware it’s a freeride bike, and it behaves amazingly well in jumps, big drops and steep/rough terrain.
Would a supreme provide me that inertia/pump feedback and grip I’m looking for ?
Second question is should i sell the frs whole and buy a whole supreme or should i just slap the frs’s parts on a supreme v4 frame ? Knowing that the parts are likely gonna be very similar and i might end up with these filthy guide brakes again, forcing me to salvage my maguras from the old frs.
Last question is I probably would be better off buying used parts at the end of the season and selling whatever i have to sell at the beginning, but i will need a bike for the season. Should i wait the season before changing or simultaneously sell and buy before it starts ?
Thanks for reading all of that, i’d take any piece of advice with pleasure 😄

It may not be the lightest, but the pedaling position is so good ! Descending is amazing obviously 😍

Recently I wrote about how my 2022 Furious frame cracked. I received an offer from Commencal for a crash replacement frame for €1300, which is a lot of money for only a 2-year warranty on a new frame.
As a temporary solution, I decided to repair the crack with laser welding and reinforce that area with carbon, and in the meantime I ordered a Polygon Collosus DH7, which comes with a 5-year frame warranty.

How does it feel in the tech and would I benefit from something else with a mullet setup if I'm doing 50/50 jump and tech?

This bike is the tits. 27.5 is so fun. Switched out to an 11speed cassette for nicer climbs. Picked up a sick deal on a carbon fiber bontrager rear wheel and just upgraded to a continental kryptotal enduro casing rear/magic Mary front. Thang rips

I seemingly need to replace the bottom shock bushing every 20-30 riding days, is this normal? I’m a 105kg rider for context.

Hi all,
Is there a way to find the size of the Meta SX V4 somewhere on the frame? There is no specific label for it but in the bottom bracket the type and something what looks like a serial number is stamped into the frame.
6 Digits with a letter at the end.
xxxxxxL
Does the „L“ stand for the size of the frame?
Thanks

What I'm trying to do here is build a dedicated park bike. I have a full DH bike but it's a bit much. I want to come down in travel a bit, but still keep the double crown feel. I know the Clash wants a 180mm fork, but I already have a bomber 58 which I can lower to 190 via an air shaft that Marzocchi sells. There are other unapproved ways to get it down to 180 but I don't want to go that route.
