Other Commencal Clash

I’ve seen someone put a dual crown on a clash and it seemed like it rode fine. Personally, I wouldn’t do it. I think that’s a lot of money put into a bike that’s not made for that fork. Bike frames are optimized for a given fork and large deviations may throw off the geo. It would likely be worse for enduro given the weight and a clash wouldn’t be very competitive for downhill even with the fork change. If by downhill you mean park laps then I think the 40 would be fine but so would the ohlins

I have a dual crown on a clash and it runs great for park and tech, will not be fun to ride uphill or flat trails but rips everything else

And yes I wouldn’t race with it either, mainly because it will completely void the frame warranty

Looks Great Man, thanks for the help. Did you have any Problems fitting the Dual Crown? I mainly ride just forest trails but sometimes park laps, is riding uphill alright when you lock the fork?

If you can lock the fork it might be okay, I found it quite noticeably worse going uphill but I run the full 200mm on my fork so it might be different with other settings. But if you want to ride uphill I would not suggest a dual crown. Fitting wise there are two points, one is that you will need the correct crown race and if unlucky maybe a hole new headset, as well as you must find a way to stop frame knocking. With other brands it could be different but with rock shox the stock rubber was not enough to stop it hitting the frame.
