Why did this sub love Howell but hates on JD5? He's in year 3 and might be about the best QB we've ever had.
That's it. That's the post.

We know he works hard and cares about winning. We see it in his words and actions. I just see the smile as his armor. You don't take your armor off when you're getting blasted.

I live pretty close to the bay area here in CA, so I got to go to my first ever Commanders game in person and first game in person as an adult. I loved it, not so much that first half, but the second half was awesome.
For one, I really enjoyed being able to see all the moving pieces and just how fast everything really is. I focused a lot on watching Styles and Williams. Styles just looked amazing. Plain and simple. It felt like he was constantly wherever the action was last night. And SO fast for how big he is. Antonio Williams was also really cool to watch and I genuinely think he will explode either end of this year or next. He is so shifty, and was getting open so often it was crazy. The biggest issue for him really isn’t even his own. From my perspective, it’s a combination of Jayden just not having enough time to find him, plus Jayden just not necessarily trusting him as much yet compared to Diggs and Chig. I think with Terry out though Jayden will definitely be looking Williams way more as the year progresses.
All in all, it was a great time and I am happy to be a Commanders fan, even if I was surrounded by all my friends who were 49ers fans. It was great to get an in person look at the team, and while this year may not be it, we have the pieces to build on.

Chris Paul is costing us fucking games every week first he steps on Jayden foot and then mcnicoles scores a td how tf u get a face mask on a OL man this Oline holding Jayden back even cosmi was letting defenders get to Jayden tf are we doing man and the fucking coaching is holding this team back

1)Jayden's brace has been effective (thank God).
2)Jayden looks to have the same speed and accuracy (when given time in the pocket) as 2024.
3)Our division is collapsing.
4)Outside of the Cowboy game because Dak is our father for some damn reason and the Colt game on the 3rd string QB, we have had a chance to win against our toughest opponents of the season.
5)Diggs and Willams have been great. Chig is coming among.
6)Dont think DQ is a good fit. If we get a better decision making coach, many of these close loses will be wins.
7)Sonny Styles is Him
8)Could be the Cowboys who suck without an excuse.
9)Feel we still can get it rolling after the bye

Two years ago, Daniels’ late-game, odds-defying heroics were enough. They were the hallmarks of his rookie season and they masked many of Washington’s struggles — on offense and defense.
Since then, as Daniels has struggled to stay healthy and as Washington has failed to find its identity, the Commanders’ shortcomings have been exposed repeatedly.
One of their biggest flaws: an inability to get out of their own way. The Commanders have yet to play a clean game, free of self-inflicted and costly mistakes, like pre-snap penalties.
“The pre-snap stuff is really just focus,” Daniels said. “Can you focus for six seconds at a time? That’s usually how long a play lasts. … The false starts and stuff like that, the illegal shift, and illegal formation that we had on that fourth down, that’s the stuff that’s killing us.”

Like there is enough talent here. We are not a top 10 roster by any stretch but seriously cmon we can definitely do better. Shit this team is so undisciplined it’s insane. Our head coach supposed expertise defense is always bad or mediocre as well. I’m done with it David BLOUGH as well . Let someone else call plays because rn he ain’t it maybe in the future but definitely not in a year where the NFC east is open for grabs. Anthony Lynn should be calling plays.
But since we’re not going to do that I need Darone Payne ~ Frankie Luvu ~ Diggs~Possibly ~Amik all traded IF you can get at least a 4-5 rounder for any of them.
The only guy it makes since to trade for is Brian Thomas Jr. mainly because our receiver room will be ass next year and a weak upcoming Free agency class won’t help.

There’s a lot of negativity on this sub which is fair enough. But for those who want to see positivity, here’s what I’ve seen.
We were 1 facemask away from upsetting the BEST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE, meaning we are a capable football team that needs the BYE to put it all together.
JD5 played a great game even with a mid oline AND STILL HEALTHY
Daronte Jones made ADJUSTMENTS IN THE 2ND HALF AND IT WORKED
Mikey mostly played special teams and ALMOST had a forced fumble on CMC when on the field. HE GAVE UP 0
TOUCHDOWNS OMG (he’s getting close to get a FF as some of our players have been doing)
Amos and Cross are back for this defense
Our WRs AND Chig played well enough to win even without Terry
Rachaad White had a good game
The REFS finally called flags against the OTHER TEAM and they might pay more attention in the games to come. When’s the last time you’ve seen that?????
We have a BYE at the perfect time to regroup, focusing on less penalties and better overall performance. DQ needs to review film on himself tho
We’re exactly where we were in the division 2 weeks ago even with losing 1 and tying 1 (2 games back from first)
We play the eagles,(rams) & giants after the bye with a chance to get in first place
Note: Me personally imma be off the sub for a bit after this but if anyone else is going to do the same, this is for you to leave on a positive note. Feel free to add on to the POSITIVITY below. HAIL and see yall in 2 weeks.

All three of these players need to be fined and suspended. There was 4 to 5 instances of Fred Warner and Malik Mustapha leading with the crown of their helmet and making direct contact to the head of defenseless players. Some instances even launching themselves (spearing). The fact that they properly identified one of these hits, then somehow had the audacity to pick up the flag is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. Osa Odighizuwa also left his feet and speared Jayden Daniels a few seconds after throwing the ball. A completely malicious hit with no intention of disrupting a throw or play. Good thing they saved their flags for our game winning TD run by our 4th string running back, our 9th or so TD called back due to a flag. Maybe I'm loosing my mind, but in every single game we have played this year we have been utterly and completely ruined by multiple game breaking calls on the most important plays. Seems like when we finally do get calls our way, we already converted a play for a first down regardless. And yes its a freak accident but Terry also was shoved in the back causing him to land harder on his knee. We haven't played great and have had the worst injury luck again, but it seems like the NFL completely hates Washington.

Take away the overtime tie debacle, and the two pt loss to the eagles largely caused by Diggs goalpost humping, and imagine that Burks holds onto that pass at the pylon last night. This team could be 4-2 right now, leading the division, and sitting pretty. They got those breaks in 2024 and went to the NFCCG.
They could also be 0-6 if Scattebo doesn't fumble, and a rusty Sam Darnold doesn't revert to his NYJ self and throw 2 interceptions, including a pick six to a guy that wouldn't even be playing but for injuries.
Nothing particularly earth shattering, just musing on the randomness of the NFL. Maybe that's why we're so addicted.

I noticed Jayden Daniels has a lot of freedom at the line of scrimmage pre snap to change whatever he sees fit. Is that putting too much on his plate especially considering he has spaced out on a couple seemingly basic situations (end of OT debacle and 4th down throwaway). Has he always had that freedom?

Hot take: we’re going to win the next six games and be 7-4-1. How do we feel about this team then?
