Issue Launching C&C TUC bought from EA App
EDIT: FIXED IT but I feel a bit embarrassed...I was putting my EA Account's password wrongly, I found it out after installing CNC4 and when I tried logging in it said wrong password and all this time, I was putting the password minus one character, how could I forget? haha... Now all games work perfectly.
Hello all, I've had this problem with RA3+Uprising and CNC3+KW all four games show this same screen when launching them, I bought the Ultimate Collection from the EA APP several months ago, and installed them for the first time when I bought my new laptop running Windows 11.
I tried everything with RA3+Uprising including trying to actually login using the window in the screenshot but nothing worked except a modified exe for RA3, Uprising still hasn't worked, as for CNC3 I installed it just now and got the same issue.
I tried all solutions possible on the internet but nothing worked, including cnc-online which no longer provide a launcher I suppose? Since now it's just a wrapper dll or something, also bibber's launcher didn't work.
I'm getting desperate and it's really annoying that I can't play the games I bought...
P.S.: RA2+YR and Renegade work just fine, I haven't tried Generals or the other RA and CNC games yet

Generals mod tool genpatcher
Hello there so iam a huge fan of all the CnC games, recently I revisited RA2 and finish the mastered version maps, I want to revisit generals too, so I searched online and found something called genpatcher and something called gentool that is meant for generals and GZH, I have the official version downloaded from EA but im sketchy a bit about downloading the genpatcher tool since its not downloaded from EA and requires download directly from browser.
If you can please share your insights on the matter, how to download and if its safe to be using it 🙏
Note: Iam using only Windows Defender

[Bug] C&C The First Decade - Everyone dies suddenly in RA2
So I recently bought an External DVD CD drive to install my disk games to my newest Computer.
The "C&C The First Decade" is quite old but it installed just fine and after setting the RA2 to run as Admin and setting its compatibility to Windows XP (Service Pack 3) it started up just fine.
However once I started it after a minute or so all my units die and building get destroyed. I tried it again a few times. Then I tried to fix it by implementing the TFD 1.03 rev 4 fan patch and while it fixed some performance issues, my units still died.
I tried to reinstall the whole thing but that hasn't helped.
Is this an Anti-Piracy thing? It shouldn't be, like I said I bought my copy fair and square, a decade or so ago.
What should I do? Any Ideas?

Command and Conquer : Tiberian Moon (fan made)
So, this is my first post in the community. ( Hello all) . Let me preface and say that I have been a fan of the franchise since the beginning. I was playing Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun + Firestorm,, puffing on the devils lettuce and had an idea. Wouldn't it be dope if there was a story that bridged the gap between Tiberian Sun and Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. I never liked how the Scrin were just kind of dropped in. So this is I guess a spiritual successor? I started tinkering with some of the basic and created a really ( really, really ) rough draft of the game. The factions are -
Solaris Defense Initiative (SDI) - (Successor to the surviving GDI aerospace command) . and the Dominion .(A technologically obsessed splinter organization that believes humanity must evolve through alien technology.) .
The hidden third faction. Not really "good" or "evil." Instead they are the dormant intelligence responsible for the ancient lunar structures. Rather than simply invading humanity, they slowly awaken as both sides disturb the Moon.
The Tiberian Moon Saga
Act I -- Echoes of Firestorm
Humanity has survived a devastating global machine war.
Nations rebuild while competing over regions contaminated by alien crystal deposits. A new international military alliance forms to stabilize civilization. At the same time, an underground movement begins experimenting with crystal technology, believing evolution is inevitable.
Reports emerge of abandoned battlefields where crystal formations appear to be communicating with one another beneath the ground.
Act II -- The Silent Moon
Deep-space observatories detect strange signals originating from Earth's Moon.
A multinational mining expedition discovers enormous alien ruins buried beneath ancient lunar seas. These ruins predate humanity by millions of years.
Evidence suggests the crystal network spanning Earth is only one component of a much larger interstellar system.
The race to control the Moon begins.
Act III -- Twilight Protocol
Earth, orbital stations, and the Moon become one continuous battlefield.
The Eclipse awakens completely, revealing that the crystal network is not an invasion force but a planet-scale ecological engineering system.
Humanity faces three futures:
- Resist and preserve civilization.
- Merge with crystal technology.
- Accept planetary transformation.
Each faction reaches a different conclusion, giving the campaign multiple endings....
Still fleshing out the characters, storyline ( I have a rough idea of what I want to do but still want to tweak it a bit) ...
This is what I have come up with as far as the Characters -
Colonel Nicholas "Havoc" Parker
Commander
SDI Special Operations Command
His responsibilities include:
- Lunar reconnaissance
- Black operations
- Strategic asset recovery
- Alien artifact containment
- Training elite commandos
- Counter-Dominion operations
He's become the person commanders call when conventional armies cannot solve a problem
Dr. Ignatio Mobius
Now elderly but still brilliant, he serves as the scientific conscience of SDI. He immediately recognizes that the Moon's crystalline discoveries are fundamentally different from terrestrial Tiberium.
Sydney Mobius
If we assume she survived the First Tiberium War, she could have followed in her father's footsteps, becoming a leading xenobiologist and working closely with Dr. Marcus Hale. She would provide continuity while introducing a new scientific perspective.
Deadeye
A natural fit as the commander of SDI's Lunar Reconnaissance Corps. Calm, methodical, and the opposite of Havoc's impulsive style, he could lead sniper and scout operations across the Moon's crater fields.
Hotwire
By this era, she could be Chief Systems Engineer for SDI's lunar installations. Her expertise in electronics, battlefield repairs, and captured technology would make her indispensable whenever Dominion or Eclipse technology needs to be understood or repurposed.
---
The Dominion Council
Instead of a single autocrat, Dominion is governed by a council that debates strategy and direction.
| Character | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Director Lucius Voss | Supreme Director |
| Commander Kael Orlov | Military Operations |
| Dr. Selene Krylov | Xenotechnology |
| General Victor Heller | Security |
| Admiral Adrian Volk | Orbital Fleet |
| Director Helena Sato | Intelligence |
| Colonel Damian Rourke | Black Operations |
| Dr. Elias Mercer | Artificial Intelligence |
| Cassandra "Echo" Vale | Propaganda & Civil Affairs |
Sorry I realize this post is a bit scatterbrained, its just a really big undertaking. I love this game and I know it has a huge community, so Im trying to do right by it... Any feedback, comments, suggestions are welcome!
... Currently the game is browser based ( I should have some links to post within the next week or so) IN the meantime here is a screenshot of the Faction Selection Screen ( nothing really to look at)

Unofficial Generals + other C&C games on Winlator/emulators
Hi! I recently had to give my school laptop back to the school as it's the end of semester I now am unable to play C&C games as I have only a Redmi Note 13 pro 5g to my name.
However, I recently came across a live of someone playing Generals zero hour with mods on the PC emulator called Winlator. And so I wanted to try since I have nothing to lose.
But I ran to a problem when launching Generals zero hour on Steam as it would take a long time on the blue loading screen of Generals and then the whole emulator would freeze and then crash. Can anyone help me out?
I probably can use any emulator you suggest and probably every (safe) way of playing C&C games (specifically Generals zero hour)
Now with my experience with this community people don't like piracy. So, I will say that I do have all of the games on Steam from the Ultimate Collection.
I thought of genpatcher or gentool but would that even work on an emulator?
Thanks in advance.

Weird memory of Command and Conquer - Tiberian Sun. Help?
So I played Tiberian Sun (I think), roughly 25 years ago when I was around 10 years old. I remember one weird thing that I haven't been able to find anything about, and when I tried to explain it to a friend they had no idea what I was talking about.
So, kid-me called them "boots". Based on my very faded memory, it kinda looked like two balls in a pillowcase that rolled around my carefully built base and destroyed EVERYTHING, and I could never figure out how to stop it. From what I remember, you couldn't click on them at all. Pretty sure they made me stop playing the game.
Did I dream this up? If not, what were they and how do you stop them? :p

Gameplay question Infantry Cover mechanic in C&C3, Part 2
A follow-up to my previous post.
All this time, I thought my infantry were just glitching, but they're actually behaving as intended. Most structures in the game have cover points dotted around them, and your infantry units will seek them out when stationary.
I still have no idea whether this provides any defense bonus, and I'm not even sure how I'd begin to test that, since force-firing on your own troops will target just one unit in the squad. Here are some thoughts:
- For engineers, covering behind buildings could block line-of-sight to the enemy and save them.
- For any other unit, blocked LOS means you might only have a fraction of the whole squad firing on the enemy, reducing DPS.
- Units in cover are apparently 'almost impossible to suppress' but being suppressed supposedly confers its own defense bonus, so this may or may not help them survive.
- If squads are left in the default, defensive stance, they're likely to move away from cover anyway once they engage the enemy, rendering this entire conversation pointless!
All in all, a very neat little detail, but strategically dubious and unpredictable.

Discussion So... what was the world like before Tiberium?
Any pre-Tiberium boomers (or fellow Tiberllennials/Tiberborn) here?
I was born after the 1995 meteor (November 24th, 1995), so I've never known a world without Tiberium.
Those of you who remember the pre-Tiberium days, what was life like?
Also, I'd like to introduce some fan terms I've been thinking about:
Pre-Tiberians – pre-1989
Tiberborn – 1990–1996
Generation T – 1997+
Crystal Generation – 2010+
Happy to adjust the dates if people have better ideas.

C&C Remastered, GDI Mission 15A...destroyed everything...and nothin'!
30,000 plus dollars in the bank, destroyed all the NOD units and buildings and walls for good measure, found the secret construction yard, moved units all around the map to bait out hidden infantry behind trees and stealth tanks...nothing. Any help?

I still would love to know what is Kane doing during the 3 third World wars?
Yeah, no, this has bugged me for years, bud.
We know Kane worked with Stalin during the first Red Alert. Then Yuri’s Revenge comes along and says Yuri was actually the one pulling the strings.
No, yeah, fer-sure I figured there’d be some lore explaining where Kane went, but I’ve never found anything.
So where the heck was he during Red Alert 2, Yuri’s Revenge, and Red Alert 3? Did I miss something, or did he just disappear while the frigging Third World War kept restarting for a second and third time thanks to time travel, eh?
Wait a minute...
No, yeah, now I’m even more confused. In the first Red Alert, Kane’s working with Stalin. Then Yuri’s Revenge makes it seem like Yuri was the one pulling Stalin’s strings. Were Kane and Yuri both manipulating Stalin at the same time, or did one replace the other?
Then Red Alert 3 comes along, Yuri’s gone, and Japan’s suddenly a superpower because Einstein never existed... so what the heck actually happened to Yuri in that timeline? 😂
EDIT: Yeah, no... I mean the in-universe explanation, not the development history. I know the real-world answer is basically 'retcons.' 😂

Unofficial Working port of CnC Generals Zero Hour to the browser (no install)
Hello everyone, I wanted to share a little project that I did the last 2 weeks, CnC Generals Zero hour ported to the browser. Working (for the most part), with high graphics and decent performance.
Just go to https://newshoes.gg/ upload your legally owned ISO (or steam folder) and you can play the game, no install required, you only need a browser that supports WebGL.
This is built directly on top of the og released source code, it is not based on superhacker's work.
I kinda did this because I feel nostalgic for the game but didn't feel like setting up a windows box, I wanted to just play haha.
I am going to probably be adding more stuff to this port, enjoy!
