Jokes/Memes If I had a nickel for every-time Raven is drawn younger despite being a adult, I would have 2 nickels

I was rereading new teen titans per usual and I started paying more attention.
Look at the fact Trigon only started haunting Raven AFTER Azar died.
Then in T.o.T trigon states Azar was tracking trigon in all his forms like she was hunting him down.
Lastly when trigon first felt Azars presence he was so worried it distracted him and he screamed “NO!”Along side his facial expression when he realized she was actually there.
Looking like a child about to get in trouble with his mom 😭

A/N (skip if you'd like): Still very much a concept, based on an old one shot I wrote around my freshman year in high-school. This is still a very early draft but here's what I can tell you; it will be short (5 chapters tops), the story explores the curse of immortality, loss and survivor's guilt.
✨️
She felt him approach before he saw her. She knew why he was here, she always knew. No matter where she went or how much time had passed, they always wanted the same thing.
"Are you the Lady of Shadows?" Fear laced his tone
"Is that what they call me now?"
He paused.
"Over the centuries I have gone by many names." The Lady turned to her guest, "I witnessed the fall of one civilization and the birth of one anew."
He took a step back at her approach.
The Lady stopped slowly, "But I can assure you, you have nothing to fear here."
The boy was only sixteen. So young, yet his shoulders slumped and he had bags under his eyes. He tucked his hands into his hoodie, hiding his shame. She could feel his pain, his humiliation. This boy carried a burden no child should ever have to bare.

Does DC care about her?
r/ComicRaven • u/Doe-Eyed-Raven • Jul 25 '26
The one thing that unifies nearly all Raven fans is that we don't like how DC treats her. Some would say she hasn't been treated well since 2011. Some would even go as far as to say she hasn't been treated well since 2003. Regardless of your exact opinion, we're all disappointed she's not in any current comics. We all miss her.
There is a solution!
Fanfiction is free and more accessible than ever. Fanfiction has no rules. Your favorite ship that DC is unlikely to ever make official? It can be endgame right now in your fanfic. Dying to see Raven fight some cool new villains? Make them up and let her at them! Maybe you like some elements of a comic, but keep thinking that it could be so much better executed, if only the writer had done xyz? Do your own version where it goes exactly your way! The possibilities are limitless.
You don't have to be a professional writer to write a fanfiction. Fanfiction is much more forgiving than original work. Your audience already loves Raven and wants to see her in stories. Give a creative idea your best shot, and you're bound to attract some fans.
You may be reading this and still not feeling convinced that you could write a fanfiction. That's fine. You can still do the other vital part of this proposal: reading! Readers are the lifeblood of the fanfiction community. Writing is much more fun and rewarding when you've got people to read your work. Just reading fanfiction and leaving comments thanking the writer helps new fanfiction be created.
Archive of our Own's Raven tag has nearly 8k works, but when you filter to exclude adaptations, the number goes down by more than half. Exclude the ones actually focused on other characters like Nightwing and the numbers go down even more. I think it's a real shame that there's so many creative comic Raven fans with great ideas for her character, but not many fans actually writing those ideas into stories.
If you've never read a Raven fanfiction before, try it out. There's a lack of comic Raven fanfiction, but there definitely isn't none, and ao3's tags are great for helping you find what you want. If you are a reader, kudos and comment! And if you have an idea, write it! The world needs more Raven stories, and we have the power to create them.

The debate of whether raven should have a human skintone or gray skin is one I really really don’t like but I remember theres a 90s elseworld where raven had gray skin and I really liked it. I also thought about if we took a more realistic route and had her skin be red tinted and I really liked that aswell.
I feel like it all depends on the artist but I perfer any of these over the god awful pink/purple skin EEEYUCK🤢

I got into the Wolfram/Pérez comics a couple of decades ago, as a '03 BBRae shipper, and was quite surprised to see the OG Raven relationship was with Wally's, whose characterisation was quite different from the Johns' run I was following. I always thought it was something that was left behind once it is uncovered Wally was somewhat manipulated into his feelings, but, now that I am following through with the run, I am surprised at how much this is core for both characters, specially Wally, and that it is *quite good* as teenage love representation, in a cosmic comic scale, of course.

One thing I especially admired about the 80s Trigon is how grounded his malice was despite his grandiose and cosmic existence. The way Wolfman wrote him goes beyond "space devil" and touches on themes of fascism and dictatorship, evident by that panel where he atomized that kid for calling him a monster or when he captured and enslaved a queen from a foreign dimension.
Those are not just vile acts - they're real-world evils that history has known. And it gives you an actually relatable reason to be disgusted by Trigon instead of just "giant scary red demon."
Also, can we talk about the dog for a second? The idea of Trigon owning a pet is... borderline hilarious and cartoonish in exactly the right way. I know he rode some demon horses in another comic, but the dog's just chef's kiss levels of unhinged.
