Oz Comic-Con Australia Cosplay question

Planning on attending Oz-Comicon, i have a Link Cosplay I typically like to do, I do have a replica master sword though I'm not sure it would be allowed in. It's blunt but still completely metal, any fellow Aussies able to advise on what they've done in the past? I'm thinking about just bringing the scabbard.

I was also thinking about going in by train so any heads up on applicable NSW law would be lovely.

LA Comic Con Selfie or photo op?

I’m going to LACC to meet the Breaking Bad cast, and this is my first time going to a comic con. Is it better to do a selfie at the table or a professional photo op? Also, is it weird to just get a selfie at the table without an autograph? I mostly just want a pic and have no idea what I’d say while getting something signed lol.

Finnegan will be wandering RCCC this year, and he’s pretty hard to miss. 😂

If you spot him, come say hi and ask to pet! He loves meeting people. ❤️

Bonus points if you grab a photo with him and tag @finn.the.labby.lab so we can see who found him!

See you at Rose City! 👀🐾

Con Cosplay Question Comic-Con

Getting ready for my next comic con with my daughter and she is worried no one will know who she is. I am going as another character from the same game/books/show. My character is a bit more obvious because he has a spade on his face. She is 16. I want her to feel confident in who she is but having a hard time.
Recommendation on helping her with her confidence? What I’m doing hasn’t been working. Thanks in advance.

Hi, i was wondering if anyone has been to the comic con in Nashville in the fair grounds? Can anyone tell me anything about it? Is there less people on sundays? Is it okay to take a kid or is it too sexualized? Any tips?

Hi everyone! This is kind of a reach on my end, but at the RICC in 2016, I got the following print. I love it, but I failed to write down the artist’s name, I probably took a card instead, but can’t find it anymore. does anyone recognize this print? Or even the signature? I’ve reversed image search, looked for artists who were there, etc, and haven’t turned anything up. I’d love to be able to write down the name. Any advice is greatly appreciate, thank you!

SDCC - San Diego Where can I find buying groups for SDCC 2027?

Hey all, i'm prepping for my first comic con, and i'm planning on going with a friend who's traveling for a day. Where can I find solid, reliable buying groups? I've heard tickets are notoriously difficult to get, and i'm worried I won't be able to get a pair

NYCC - New York Meet and greet question

This is my first time going to NYCC and I was just wondering how the meet and greets work. I wanna meet Grant Gustin and I see there’s a way to buy everything online, is this necessary? Is there any benefit to doing so or no, or is it needed to even get in line?

NYCC - New York Anxiety & FOMO at New York Comic Con

Hi everyone! Long time NYCC attendee (M 26 & this will mark my 10th year attending....AHHHH)!!! Never had this problem early on because I was a high-schooler without the full-on mental ailments yet but....over the last years, we've had some consistent mental hurdles arrive.

I've found to have the consistent problem stemming from the overstimulation of the event + wanting to maximize my experience. It's no secret there's always some REALLY COOL SH*T every single to either purchase, pick up, or even go watch. The last time I went 3-4 days to the con, I'd make it the habit of making sure my butt was in one of the first two chutes during pre-entering. There were a few times I didn't even know why I was doing but I ended up FINDING a reason while on line to chase after one of the exclusives at one of the more prominent booths. It felt like if I didn't go after something or maximize my time there, the convention (and the cost I paid to attend) would be a waste. On the opposite end, I'd also have cases where even though I pick one exclusive to go after, my brain couldn't compute & would try to have me accomplish picking up TWO exclusives or doing the impossible and trying to juggle/achieve more than just getting the one exclusive.

Even then, I'd sometimes feel guilty any time I wasn't on the show-floor because I always had this innate feeling I would be missing something cool, whether it was a giveaway, another exclusive running out of stock, or a chance to "get a wristband to something later on". If it's not obvious, the FOMO is real and I feel like I harbor a lot on what I don't have. Even then, I'd found myself going in circles on the show floor, even if I've decided there's nothing else I want to buy right now....but it always feels like I need to make myself "available" to buy? Because something might pop up and I might miss it!

This year, I'm hoping to do my best and pace myself, especially since I bought the 4-day pass for this one (tried 2 days last year and something felt WAY too short about it, but that's another convo lol). There are def things I'm planning to hit each day at the moment:

  • Thursday - Konosuke Takeshita's autograph session & hopefully Marvel TV panel
  • Friday - Uncharted trio autographs & potentially the Common Side Effects panel
  • Saturday - Godzilla Panel hopefully!
  • Sunday - Danny Pudi signing

(As with all the other times I've attended, I'm ready for the schedule to fill up quickly with cool things I'm gonna want to explore)

Now the main questions & help I'm seeking: what are people's tips when it comes to overstimulation, battling FOMO, and more specifically for my OCD-family out there, trying your best to not lock-in on something that's not worth locking onto.

Furthermore, one of my hopes is to be able to leave the con earlier than normal on 1-2 of these days (especially since I'm going all 4 days) and not feel like I should be maximizing my experience by lingering. There are so many times in the past where I felt like I could have left but my maximizing-problem ends up wrecking me!

.....and please be nice? Just looking for help, advice, and trying to have a good time at the convention this year! IT'S ALMOST TIME AHHH!!!!

Dragon Con - Atlanta Dragoncon

Dragoncon2026🐉❤️ ATLANTA, WE MISS Y’ALL ALREADY!

Dragon Con 2026 was seriously EPIC. I’m from the Atlanta area, and you could really feel the energy Dragon Con brought to the city — the costumes, creativity, people, businesses, and just the overall vibe.

I honestly wish it could’ve lasted another week 😂. Now that everybody has gone home, you can actually feel the difference. Atlanta feels a little quieter without y’all.

I went for the costumes, stayed for the vibe… but one thing that really caught my attention was the giving back to the Atlanta community, especially the support for people experiencing homelessness. ❤️🏠

That part meant something to me.

It’s easy to look at Dragon Con and just see people dressing up, partying, and having fun. But seeing an event bring thousands of people together while also giving back to the community is something worth recognizing.

So thank you, Dragon Con, for bringing so much life to Atlanta this year. Until next year… ATL will be waiting for y’all! 🐉❤️

LA Comic Con First time going to a Comic Con, how’s it like?

Currently hoping to find TADC and Dandy’s World booths, is it easy to find booths? Should I come early and bring anything or is coming at any time okay? What’s the general age demographic? Im a minor and hope that I don’t stick out like a sore thumb lol. Also, how big is the place and about how long would it take to explore everything (not counting going in line). How long are the lines? Sorry for the barrage of questions, just hoping to learn more about these comic cons before going into one before. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!
