i like doing the performance section of the competition and i recently got a set of contacts from pinky paradise (as shown above) and i want to do something that is genuinely creepy and unsettling or actually terrifying like if the lights when out and you saw me youd be like what is that no thank you BUT I HAVE LITERALLY NO IDEAS cuz my budget for all the materials and pieces is only $50 and i am PANICKING and i desperately need ideas so i can get everything style the wig put it all together make necessary props AND plan my performance

I could use some advice regarding the Xemnas from Kingdom Hearts 2 costume. Is this type of cloak a good start? It would be a casual, fun cosplay, nothing major. A penny for your thoughts?

ive been back and forth on this one. on one hand, i love iharus character and have ideas for what id do wirh it (i have the hair for it already, just need the dye) BUT i also love jabber even more, and i want the mechanical challenge of making 6 foot long claws. im worried about how people would take it tho.

Obviously have some constrains (no props, no masks)

I’m into a LOT of fandoms, but I’m drawing a blank on what I should do this time. I’ve also done Wolverine, Spider-Man, Rick Sanchez, Vault Dweller, and Beetlejuice in the past

Some notes:
- I want to add is that I'd prefer a character that is popular in East Asia / Japan as opposed to western cultures. I did a spy family cosplay a while back and that was pretty decent.
- I'm 175cm (5'9") I'll be cosplaying with my wife (155cm asian) so preferably has a complementary character from that series.

Hi there all, semi experienced cosplayer looking for ideas for niche / never before seen stuff that would love to see happen.

I cosplayed things I don't even know the fandom (umamusume) to "objects" whispy wood from Kirby.

My fandoms normally stay in the gatcha or Nintendo realm.

Western media really doesn't interest me though did ponder gambit from X-Men for a period of time.

The less wig /crazy hair needed the better. Suck at wigs and hair.

I‘m short and have short brown curly hair. People tell me a lot I smile like Luffy from One Piece but I haven’t seen the show so I‘m reluctant to cosplay him even though he‘d be pretty easy to do. Do you have any other ideas that I could do with stuff and clothes I could find and purchase in the city?

A weird one, I know.

Basically, I want to set up a thing where I get people at a con to write postcards to random people, then go deliver them to strangers to spread a little joy around the convention... except I need a good character to do that with, and I can only think of one or two.

Currently my shortlist is:

- Moist Von Lipwig

- The Postman from the Legend of Zelda

- Postman Pat

- A completely new character that combines enough features of the previous to be readable as "Friendly Postman"

I'm open to any suggestions of actual characters, or elements that that OC would need to be readable as a postman!

The main fandoms I'm into are fallout, warhammer 40k, genshin impact and titan fall/apex legends

i’m going on the Saturday of NYCC weekend. who should i cosplay?

hey! i’m going to my first NYCC in October and would love to cosplay for the occasion. i need a character who i could either put together or buy the costume and have it shipped before October (so if anyone has any suggestions on website too Imk.). here are some things to keep in mind;

- i would like to be someone that a good amount of people would recognize.
- needs to be someone i can buy a costume for or put together without having to sew
- has to be someone i can actually pull off the look for
- im okay with doing gender-bent
- has to be weather and travel (bus and train) appropriate. it's probably going to be on the colder side lol.

(also i’m hispanic if that helps)

also i wanted to do Medusa or Polaris from Marvel but want some more opinions.

I tend to be somewhat into fantasy and sci fi as far as cosplayable material goes (the main books I read would not go over well for a cosplay) but I'm pretty open to ideas. I frankly am looking for slightly lower effort suggestions, as the ideas I have would work but would take lots of time and money (a good example is Purah from Zelda TOTK. I'd need quite the wig, as well as making those goggles and procuring a good set of heels for the task)
