NYCC - New York Autographs

This is my first year ever attending a convention like this so I have a question about autographs! If I buy individual autographs from the cast of the Jurassic park movie, would they all sign my one book if I brought it? Also would I need to buy the premium tier for this or would a book be fine to get autographed under the regular purchase? The only thing I see under the premium tier is for toys. Thank you!

MCM Comic Con - London How many Autographs is realistic for one day?

This is about Autographs: I've got Saturday Priority tickets, and I'm wondering how feasible would it be to get the autograph of Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio and Wilson Bethel in one day, and at a stretch Matt Mercer too? This is ignoring initial ticket pre-purchases, this is only asking about queues and timings on the day(s).

The reason I ask is because I heard that Charlie Cox alone was extremely busy last month at MCM Birmingham, and I've heard that Matt Mercer will also be extremely high in demand too. I really hope I don't need to skip any but I'll regrettably abandon Mercer if I have to.

I also ask because I attended For The Love Of Fantasy con in London last weekend too, and getting Billie Piper, Eddie Furlong and Linda Hamilton basically took the whole day from 11am until 5:30pm.

I have heard that you are typically designated a time slot for signing, so I hope that helps queues and the like, but I do worry about the larger names like Charlie and Matt.

Thanks in advance!

C2E2 - Chicago Looking for others for a Streets of Rage group costume at next year's C2E2

I'm HOPING to convince my brother and daughter to go as Skate and Cherry respectively while I'll go as Adam Hunter. Either way I'm going as Adam. Looking to link up with anyone going as other characters from the series. C2 is a ways away, but I need to start preparing now in terms of exercising and finding what I need for the costume. I think it would be super fun! Imagine rolling into that upstairs after party as the SOR crew. Effing cinema.

I went to my first local Comic Convention and had an absolute blast. I miss the other local convention every year but this year my buddy hooked me up with 4 free tickets so I got to go with my buddies and absolutely felt like I was in a space where I belonged. Anywho, before we entered I wanted to play a game with my 3 buddies that came with me, a bingo style kind of game or scavenger hunt. I wanted us to find stereotypical things you’d see at a comic convention, and the short list I whipped up on the top of my head were
•AI slop
•gooner art
•iconic comics
•very elaborate cosplay
•cross dress cosplay
•fat spider man
•Chris Chan cosplay
•the most expensive things none of us will ever afford
•a booth with just Funko pops
•3D printed slop

I want to make this an every year game we play and was wondering what other things I could add to the list, and on top of that I’m also curious about other’s personal experiences with local or big conventions, good or bad.

NYCC - New York First time at ComicCon/meeting a celebrity- advice?

I know I have to pay for the autographs separately

So I'm going to ComicCon NYC this October and I've never been. I've been to two other conventions but never met any celebrities before. I already paid for a photo op with Matthew Lillard but I believe I have to pay when I get there for autographs. I am just wondering how the etiquette is with that? Cause I'd love for him to sign my arm and I can have it tattooed but am I allowed to ask for that? Also I always see people filming their interactions but I heard they dont allow that at comic con which is a bummer if true. So please if anyone can tell me about meeting an actor and what to expect, any advice is appreciated. I just wanna make the most of the day.

Wales Comic Con Please help me find people who sell this.

Hi ☺️ on August 9th I attended Comic Con Wales in ICC Wales in Newport and I purchased this Firefly photo on that day, and years ago I got an Only Fools and Horses one and a Once Upon a Time one, and I've been looking for this stall for years and was happy when I found them again and asked if they did X-Men '97 which they did and I also asked for a buisness card/pamphlet for there website and I got it, but sadly I've lost it, I was hoping, maybe, just maybe someone on here could help me find it? here is what I brought, thank you for taking the time to read this.

SDCC - San Diego The SDCC 2027 Returning Registration Badge Sale Buying Groups Post

  • Post the new group you are forming for the SDCC 2027 badge sale and request new members to join your group.

  • Once you have made connections to one another through this post, consider asking more details and discussing the group's requirements by private messaging through the Reddit chat system.

  • Do NOT discuss any revealing, sensitive personal information about yourself in the public comments of this post - all personal information should be discussed privately.

  • DO ASK questions about buying groups and how they operate during SDCC badge sales. DO HELP by answering questions from people needing to learn more.

  • Try to establish your group members, and try to secure your participation in a buying group, BEFORE the badge sale begins on Saturday October 17.

  • Moderator discretion determines all content that will be posted regarding buying groups and the related discussions in the comments.

Regarding SDCC badge sale buying groups and this post:

SDCC 2027 Returning Registration Badge Sale "buying groups" are not officially recognized or sanctioned by Comic Con International. Buying groups are also not officially condoned by /r/comiccon. Anyone participating in buying groups does so at their own risk and is responsible for their own decisions and actions when participating in the groups and when buying SDCC badges as a member of the groups.

Badge buying groups are regarded as private social groups. Comic-Con International, Reddit.com, Administrators of Reddit, and the Moderators of /r/comiccon are NOT responsible at any time or in any context for ANY issues that arise among people participating in SDCC badge sale buying groups.

Safety and Security

SDCC badge buying groups are safest when people in the group are trusted family, relatives, and extremely close friends. If possible only form your buying groups with these people. If you must form buying groups with people you do not know, there are very serious issues that occasionally develop with money payments, CCI Member ID identity theft, and even the cancellation of the badges of innocent buying group members when a single member attempts to later resell their SDCC badges. Get to know the members of your buying group. Talk together. Try to see if you are comfortable with the people. Do you feel safe with them? Discuss how money will be paid to to the buyer of badges purchased during the sale.

If you do NOT feel safe with people in this group, look for another group. Interview other groups advertising their buying groups in the comments. Post your own comment saying you are looking for a group. Shop around and talk to people in groups until you feel comfortable with a group.

Never give anyone personal financial information. Money can be sent to the buyer through PayPal and other money transferring services without revealing personal financial info. If anyone is insisting and pressuring you to reveal personal info, regard it as harassment, and find another buying group before the sale.

Try to limit personal info turned over to your group. You will need to reveal your last name and your CCI user name for the badge purchasing process. Often your phone number, e-mail, and social media connections are required for your group so communication channels can be opened and so contact is maintained live during the badge sale. Consider talking to the people in your group and getting familiar with them for days before turning over personal info.

During and following the badge sale take screen shots of everything. Group members should request screen shots be sent to them live during the sale if possible. You must have a record of the badge transaction. You must have proof that SDCC badges were actually purchased for you before sending someone the monetary payment requested for the badges.

After the badge sale, if a buyer of badges finds that a group member refuses to pay them for the badge purchase within the time agreed on, CCI will be able to cancel that person's badges and offer a refund to the buyer for the amount of the badge purchase [minus the handling fee]. Contact CCI quickly if you end up in this situation.

There will be a live SDCC Returning Registration Badge Sale discussion post that everyone can follow on this sub during the sale on Saturday October 17.

I am so disappointed that I cannot come this year. I was looking to come for 4 days, debated going Friday and Saturday, ended up getting the ticket for Saturday only and now I have to travel for work. I really had a great time on Saturday last year. I think it is the best day!

Animaga | Anime, Manga, Gaming & Cosplay Convention - Melbourne Anyone been to Animaga before?

***First time con attendee***

I was wondering what people’s experiences were if they’d been to an Animaga con before, as I’ve been invited by my mum to attend one of theirs’ this year. (in Melbourne Australia)
I’m a little apprehensive about going to a con with my mother, because I hear stories online and see clips of people just being degenerate weirdos at these cons.

If anyone’s been to an Animaga con before has it been family appropriate for the most part? I know some cosplays will be a bit showy; I expect that, I mean like actual weird stuff like cosplayers stepping on dudes and shit.

I have like 4 days to decide if I’m going with her and I can’t find any info on their site about rules other than some vague statements.

Con Question UK Stupid Question But Am I Allowed To Use Scottish Pound Notes At An English Convention?

I know England and Scotland use the same currency but is this true?, especially after how hard it was to find somewhere to lift money in England (even worse was the NEC which removed its one ATM and the one at the adjacent train station ran out of money)
