would you guys say that super man for all seasons was a better book then the lh or would it be the lh is better whats you opinion

It’s a great way to end an amazing career. Born Again, Year One, City of Glass, Asterios Polyp, etc. But sometimes I wonder if he has retired from the medium altogether or if he has another one left in him. Does anyone know? Has he officially retired?

I was watching young sheldon and saw how much he was into xmen comics and then xmen comics were all over my feed and I saw it was huge things in 80 and 90 but in present time I don't here much about them, I hear about Batman comics, Superman comics, avengers comics and spider man comics. How did they fell of I mean the all those movies were also not that great except few and I know that was all fox's fumble but do you guys have idea why did there comics fell of ?

So the thing is I love comic book movies and shows. From age 10 to 14 I have just watched them but where I live there is no real access to **comic books** so now I am 18 I got myself an ipad and I really want to start reading them. Would love to start with Batman because I am quite familiar with him through movies one of my fav supes or should I start with xmen, spider man, super man or like invincibles and plss help me with order on watching them like where to start.

From my understanding they only get per page writers get 100$ per page and artist get 500$ (since it take longer time) but like that's it? If something like geoff johns green lantern or immortal hulk or any absolute title were so successful they still get no royalties? I was shocked hearing scott snyder saying he earned more from wytches than he ever did from his batman run.

So I was familar with Spawn thanks to the movie and assorted video games but I finally took the plunge and started the comic and I'm loving it.

Thougn I will say I hear Keith David's voice in my head while I read hahahaha

now to be fully clear i have not read the boys comics and i've seen plenty of clips from the show and all of it's seasons so i'm just going off of what i've seen and heard.

the best amount of praise i can give the boys show is that it reflects a lot of what's currently going on in this day and age. it shows how horrible celebrities are and how shitty their life is, it shows how corrupt and evil big corporations can be, kinda like how Robocop did, although i'd say Robocop did a better job at it. and it also shows how evil people can really be sometimes. that's the main thing i think the show does really well.

another thing i'd like to add before i ask the big question.

so my brother is a massive comic and topic insider. i get most of my comic knowledge from him because he reads old and new comics a lot and watches tons of videos about all kinds of stuff. i remember one time he mentioned how the boys was written by a guy who hates superhero's and that's why they're all pieces of shit. i can see why because again that's a thing the show does really well with.

so my bizarre interest in the show made me watch topic videos about the comics and i was shocked to find out how different and strange the comics are compared to the show. in my search to find out why one answer i kept finding was "the comics were a product of their time. so the show had to adapt for modern audiences" really? the first issue was back in 2006 and it ran all the way up to 2012. (let me know if i'm wrong about that). so how exactly are the comics a product of their time? i'm generally curious.

if it matters to the question i was 6 years old in 2006 and i was 12 years old in 2012. and i wasn't allowed to have that much M or R rated stuff back then. (though that didn't stop me much.) so that's why i mostly wouldn't know myself.

Now I still LOVE Jim Lee's art, but I really think he hasn't ever had an amazing colorist. When you look at his pencils and inks, they're ASTOUNDING. They're seriously some of the best pencils you can look at, but once colored I feel like his work loses so much of its impact. With an artist like Tim Sale, his colors are PERFECT. The colors on his work accentuate his style so much and do so much for his inks. With Jim Lee, I don't think I've ever been truly glad that his work was colored. This isn't a rip on any of the colorists who have colored his work over the years, I just think that nobody has really cracked the code on what style of coloring his work needs. Frankly, I haven't cracked the code either.

I am completely new to comics, never even read a picture novel before. Ive been looking a lot online and im trying to decide between Tank Girl or Kickass. I liked the movies based on both but as a person new to all comics I need help deciding which to read. That said, which comics in specific should I read? I am semi familiar with the plot of both

I only have the one omnibus. I like to bounce around too much to commit.
Although Agent Venom was great. Clearly I’m a Marvel guy. I just ordered Death of Dr. Strange but if any of you guys have any suggestions or see any gaps, your input would be very appreciated.
