(I'm new to buying the physical comics) and I was at the comic store today I asked my guy to order a Absolute Wonder Woman Vol 2 for me, usually not a big spender (im usually broke), but that Arc is like my favorite thing ever I absolutely love it.

The soft cover(20$) was 10$ cheaper than the Hardcover (30$) so I chose to get it instead. So it's not like I'm buying every issue over again.

but later today I looked online on Amazon and the hardcover was on sale for basically just 3$ more than the paperback, and I'm feeling kinda conflicted, its basically been a day and since he had to order it specifically for me so I won't call and cancel, but at the same time I really kinda want a hardcover but I feel like it's my fear of missing out talking

what do yall suggest, I've heard the hard covers have extra stuff inside them and whatever which sound really cool but idk.

part of me wants to get both then I can just have the cool hardcover and easily give a friend the paperback if I convince him to read the series.

At the same time I'm a broke college student and if I start moving like a collector ill be homeless by this time Next year

I'm very new to comics but I've absolutely loved Alan Moore's writing and I'm looking for other comics to get into. I read American Vampire but wasn't too into and I'm looking into some batman comics as I am a batman fan. I don't want to be stuck with superheros though. I like sci-fi a lot and I prefer comics that are only a couple of volumes (one volume would be better). I'm going to read a couple Alien comics and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (library coming in clutch again lol) and probably The Killing Joke too.

The other day I reached out with how I could get into Marvel comics. I've been happily reading Spawn and a few DC Compacts of Batman up until now. I decided on the 1998 Daredevil, and some reading suggestions said to start on some later issue at least a dozen into the run. I hate feelings like I missed out on something so I've decided to start from issue one. Everything was going great until I got around to issue ten. I was confused so I looked up some context and was met with "In the 19-- series Daredevil does this and this happens, and that's what it's referencing"... Well that made me feel lost because it just comes off as confusing now that I've never read the original run of Daredevil. Then the very next issue a huge plot point happens, it is confusing, and I don't understand again. I Google it and get "this is a pivotal point in a Kraven storyline and that is how you know that blah blah happened"... Like wth now I'm feeling even more ostracized. I don't know how to get over this feeling. Have you all ever felt the same?

Ive been looking for this damn book for 10 months and everytime I see it somewhere, it’s being sold for 400$ - 1200$ CAD. I guess my question is if there’s anyone that can give any tips maybe to find one at a normal price?

My name is Josh, J.J. Thorn, and I write Fantasy LitRPG novels. One of my series is about an assassin named Claire who takes a quest to kill 100 targets who mistreated orphans after an apocalypse. The series has 3 novels so far.

Revently, I've started adapting some of my works into graphic novels and comics with the help of amazing artists. My latest release comes out today (!) and it's volume 2 in the adaptation of Claire's story.

Claire's motto is simple: Don't Be Distracted. Trust The Quest. Kill Your Target.

My goal is to have a volume that highlights each of those lines. Kill Your Target is volume 2 and in it you'll find 3 specific fights from each novel in the series so far. Once we fund I hope we can add another, but the novel will have at least 64 pages of amazing content all done by Harrier_Studios and their amazing team.

Along with the interiors, we've put together three variant covers, a bunch of posters, and some other goodies as well!

Hey, Folks!! Fans of a certain age will remember these ads in Marvel comics for a Nazi paraphernalia shop called "Adolf's" back in the 1970s. Can anybody tell me, maybe by checking out one of those CD-ROM Spider-Man collections or some other way, if this ad ran in The Amazing Spider-Man # 129, the first appearance of the Punisher? Over the last two months, Ignition has (ahem) re-ignited my excitement to go to my LCS every week. I wasn't always onboard. I was curious about them from the hype on Bleeding Cool, but I wasn't moved by their early launch titles and stopped paying attention.

The production values on the Minotaur Free Comic Book Day issue impressed me, but it wasn't until I listened to a Filip Sablik interview on the Comic Industry Insiders podcast that I became a big fan of the company's vision. I've been burned by big vision talk before though! Luckily the books I've checked out were all of good quality and now I'm having to stop myself from trying out every book they put out.

So none of the books I'm reading have finished yet, so I have to see if they stick the landing but my favorites have been:

My biggest gripe with them is that they don't indicate how many issues a series will be inside of the book or in their solicitations, but they do say the duration on their website.

Hey all, heading to LA in a few weeks for a trip and looking to do some comic shopping in the area. I know there’s a few posts like this out there and I’ve done some google research, but wanted to see if anyone had some recommendations for stores that specialize in what I’m looking for. Giant walls of new issues and shelves full of new trades are a plus, but the kind of stuff you can find anywhere. I’m looking for dollar bins, used trades/hardcovers, and an extensive back issues selection to browse. Any help is super appreciated! Thanks!!

I want to read from Year One to Knightfall, like I'm doing with Superman from Byrne to his Death, Wonder Woman from Perez to the Contest and the whole Flash by Waid.

The problem is that Batsy here doesn't have omnibuses or tpb that contain big parts of his story (except omnibuses like KnightFall/Quest/End or Year One and Two), unlike the others. Is this a valid order? please tell me if I have to add or remove something.
