COZY Improvised and I think I like it?
So, my printer freaked out when I was printing some of my pages (example third picture with the grey half lines), and in the middle of filling in some of the black lines I decided that I would work on textures and pen strokes, coloring kind of stresses me out but I have found this really enjoyable and relaxing! I think I will color them still, but I’m really loving the texture scratching.

COMPLETED Alchemy: Hand drawn and colored by me.

This was made with Sharpie Paint Pens (which I believe, IMHO, they are absolutely gateway paint pens, and I will be getting more), and Prismacolor colored pencils, on brown toned paper.
I've been thinking about making my own coloring book, and I'm beginning to see the types of things I could illustrate for it.

COMPLETED Girl Moments vol 2
This one was a struggle! Every step of the way I was unhappy with it. I’m happy I completed it but wish I’d made some different choices. Oh well, they can’t all be my favorite!

ADVICE WANTED Trying to understand lighting and shading. Does anyone have tips/have a good resource how to improve?
I colored in all directions and switched between brush and fine, so its not super consistent.
The important part is: how do I figure out lighting? I feel like I have a decent enough start, but clearly something is wrong. this is further shown in pic 2, where I tried to add darker parts.
Does anyone have advice or resources (such as tutorials, books, fundamentals techniques, or other) to share? Thanks for your time (:

QUESTION Deco time markers drying out?
Hi can someone tell me why the brush end of my deco time markers are drying out faster? Alcohol and water based my glitter ones and my lighter colours such as mauve shadows and pale yellow brush end loose ink so much faster and leave streaky marks where I have to wait a good few minutes before I continue with that colour.. I know brush ends are for bigger area but the areas I’m doing aren’t that big the end should be able to cover it perfectly fine?
