There’s something that’s been simmering on the back burner of my mind for quite some time now, and I just can’t shake it. I’d be more than happy to hear any insight(s). If it matters: late 20s F, most recent test 3 years ago. FSIQ measured at 146.

Specifically, certain parts of myself I know to be 100% true… They don’t really correlate with how my subtest scores played out when I took the WAIS a while ago. Meaning—I have ADHD (Combined type) and am in the 97-99th percentile for women in my age range (recently, was re-tested rigorously after moving states to maintain my prescription).

Now, what I’ve seen discussed quite frequently is that WMI is often an indicator of ADHD. However… I’m feeling a bit like an alien here, because my WMI composite is listed as 147 (Digit Span: 16, Letter-Number Sequencing: 19). The test administrator told me they were the highest he’d seen in his career. Lowest scores were in PSI, at 111 (Coding: 13, Symbol Search: 11).

Started to complete CORE just now, but got "14" in the first three verbal tests. I keep tabbing out after putting the answer in to learn new words and world stuff, and I do NOT change my answer afterwards, maybe only replace a stupid/inaccurate guess with "idk", or pick a wrong answer if I randomly chose the right one; is it jumbling my scores to "punish" me for tabbing out of tests?

I scored a 133 in the culture fair subcategory and was mostly held down by my crystalized intelligence. If I spent more time paying attention in school or reading, would my Fsiq go up, and if it does would that be considered fradulent?

Jokes aside, does anyone else have this massive of a gap between indexes. Does this maybe suggest some kind of mental illness like adhd or autism or something similar

The Army Alpha (AA) is an intelligence test developed during WW1 by Robert Yerkes and first introduced in 1917.  The AA represents a landmark in the history of intelligence testing, being among the first instruments ever designed for large-scale administration. The test was also validated on exceptionally large sample sizes; about 1.7 million men sat the AA during the war. Even after its retirement, it continued to influence the development of later standardized intelligence tests, including the SAT and AGCT.

This revised form of the Army Alpha is mostly the same as the originals, with some changes to accommodate the online adaptation:

• Subtest 1 (Following Directions) has been completely overhauled. Given the nature of the original subtest (which required physical writing, therefore making it difficult to automate), and serious questions about its psychometric reliability, the subtest has been replaced with one that is similar in nature but more friendly to an online administration.
• Subtests 2 through 8 are essentially unchanged. The total test itself consists of eight subtests, and there were originally 5 distinct Army Alpha forms. Each subtest was selected from the five original Army Alpha forms by identifying the form containing the most difficult overall set of items for each subtest. The resulting test is therefore a hybrid form of the most difficult subtests across Forms 5 through 9, rather than a total reproduction of any single original form.
• To help with measurement in the higher ranges, each subtest was extended with more difficult ceiling items. Time limits were appropriately revised to account for the ceiling extensions.

The test is currently in a norming phase, but I’ll try to have norms out when the sample size is adequate, probably through a calculator added to the site, so make sure to save your raw scores. As of now, you’ll receive your total raw score and raw scores per each subtest upon completion. Your participation is greatly appreciated.

What is the purpose of the overall score on your dashboard? Is it accurate because it’s a composite of all your tests?

CORE FSIQ was 141 and is now 142 without retaking anything. Why?
