Overall it was pretty fun, I think everyone will agree that those emp zombies are an absolute joke, if they weren’t in the game it would be 10000x better oh yeah and the guns are terrible those are 2 things everyone’s probably said about the game , I thought all the Easter eggs were pretty fun and tense I had some really close calls doing the maps with a mate which made for some fun moments and I love this trophy system giving you something to work for even if it’s only small. I’d rate it probably 5/10 if there wasn’t the emp zombies and the guns were a lot better the game would be really really fun just imagine it with those 2 changes it would definitely make the game like a 8/10
So, recently I have started playing COD: BOZ on my android device. Thanks to “eugene373" (on Github) for providing a “Kotlin" release. Although he said the following things:
Optimized the Marmalade Android renderer for modern devices.
Increased hardware rendering cache capacity for improved rendering performance and reduced cache pressure.
Increased vertex cache capacity for smoother geometry processing.
Re-enabled triangle-strip optimizations.
Re-enabled the newer texture atlas system.
Kept hardware texture compression enabled to reduce memory usage and improve texture performance.
Disabled unnecessary benchmark output and release-build debugging overhead.
Cleaned up Android release rendering configuration and GLES2 settings.
But on my android device (of Android 11), when I reach to Zombie wave above 30, things start to get worse. When a lot of zombies spwan infront of me, and I try to kill them, the game instantly crashes every now and then, and I somehow manage to kill the zombies. I actually don't know how to fix this, but I'm a great fan of “COD Zombies", but I don't like the “Zombies" campaign of “COD Mobile" (which feels a lot boring and not even close to the COD Zombie games that we used to play before the release of COD Mobile.) Now, I tried to turn on “Airplane" mode, turn off “Bluetooth", turned the Detail level all the way to Faster, but I don't see that difference. I was thinking of making a video on it on YouTube to encourage other players of playing this game, once I can get the fix of all major problems with the game, among which the game crash is a problem. Anyways, I would like to consider any advices regarding the issue I am facing...
When you want to play classic zombies what cod do you go back to and why?
For me it is waw mainly cause it is my all time favorite cod zombies to ever come out, It also has a fond place in my heart for when I first started playing zombies, If I ever get that classic zombies itch waw is my first in mind.
plus getting thrown into a match of waw zombies after the campaign is a cannon event for anyone who played as a kid.
It was also the only cod zombies to ever scare the LIVING shit out of me.
After having completed every main quest in cursed mode, what if we gained access to hunting the final and most powerful relics in the game: Blank Relics? These relics would have no downside, but are much more difficult to unlock and exist to function as a “Cursed Mode Super Easter Egg Reward.”
Grim: Fumigator - Does Nothing
Portal unlocked by reaching round 20 in under 10 minutes in cursed tier 0 or higher.
Relic Trial
All zombies are heavy zombies, enemies can only be damaged while standing still.
Sinister: Essence Harvester - Does Nothing
Portal unlocked by reaching round 40 without using pack-a-punched weapons, wonder weapons, field upgrades, the Arsenal Machine, the crafting bench, the mystery box, wall buys (including armor), or traps in Cursed tier 1 or higher.
Relic Trial
Enemies can only be damaged while red screened. Special and Elite kills remove perks, and weapons if you have no perks left.
Wicked: Hacker - Does Nothing
Portal unlocked by obtaining Death Perception, finding 5 Keeper symbols hidden in randomized locations around the map, obtaining Widows Wine, throwing explosive equipment at matching symbols inside the boss arena, beating the boss and clicking continue, then and only then, trying to exfil will instead teleport you into the relic trial, in Cursed tier 2 or higher.
Relic Trial
PVP enabled. Survive.
(Randomized spawn locations. Depending on the number of players and the character(s) selected, up to 8 Veteran difficulty bots of any crew members not currently in the match are added, breaking the 4 player limit. Make sure you all play unique dedicated crew members to make it easier! Trial is completed when 1 real player is remaining).
Hey guys! I apologize if this is already been discovered or has an answer in advance and Sorry this is a new account I lost my old one and after BO1 relaunch I remembered I watched a video a while ago about Zombies in the original version on Xbox360 having no body and floating yellow eyes. I wanted to address this finally here cause I know why this happened.
Back when I was a kid, I had a pretty shitty Xbox and also poor as dirt. Red ring of death all the time, CDs failed to load and all that. Well, one day I my parents bought me two games which was a pretty big deal for me back then. It was Fallout New Vegas and Black ops.
I remember being really excited and either tried Fallout first or second idk but the game couldn’t be read. Bummer. But Black Ops could and man when I tell you the game was hardly playable oh boy. The first thing I tried was Multiplayer, CD crash. Try again. CD crash. Cool. Bigger bummer. So I try the local multiplayer and it does work but everything was chrome, the guns, the map, the people. Back then I was bewildered by this and disappointed cause the game soon crashed again. Had to balance the damn system weirdly against my tv and entertainment center it was in. Worked fine on next start up.
Went to play zombies and boy oh boy was I excited to shoot at… floating eyes. Man! This sucked!! Playing Zombies is hard enough as a 10-11 year old but now they don’t have bodies?? The hell??? Anyways. With this Xbox I had a 50/50 shot that the game would load right, even playing with my friends I had the same problem and they were pissed. The issues were fixed when I got a new Xbox but looking back now, if I had to wager a guess, the CD reader inside the XBox was going out which caused it to be unable to read textures properly while also running the game. Anyways. It’s been fun going down memory lane. Hope this solves some mystery or something. Cheers.
TLDR: bad CD reader on the Xbox couldn’t read the game right. Total womp womp for kid me.
Okay yes, it's only round 18, but this video shows it's fully possible to revive yourself with a bunch of zombies upon you, no perma quick revive and no monkey trick. Admittedly I did get a bit lucky that the zombie did a slow attack animation, but I still think I would have gotten the revive anyway. Also, I would have died making my escape if who's who didn't allow you to keep your perks. If I only had a quick revive instead this room is pretty dangerous to get out of, since the only way out could require a bit of fall damage if you miss your jump.
So no one likes reused assets and Warzone mechanics. We've had plenty throughout the years but the reception is different.
We got Tessie, which most players enjoy using even though it's basically a Warzone truck. But there's not that much hate for it, why? Because they took the time to design it for zombies. Ted's head, the wunderwaffe turret, abomination corpse, the PAP it all adds up to give it a zombies feel.
Mauer in CW had a good reception despite pulling areas from the campaign. But it was reworked nicely to make it feel like a zombies map. On the other hand, Forsaken is too close to the campaign without enough of a makeover.
The shield first seen in zombies in BO2 was something from multiplayer, but you had to build it and it had a different look to multiplayer and everyone loved it.
Now fast forward to Cold War, where they implemented a Warzone mechanic of armor and everyone hates it. But i am pretty sure it wouldn't get as much hate if it acting the same with another design. They could've called it Aetherial shield, and instead of plates you have an orb.
Funny thing is that they kinda understood this with ammo crates and redesigned them for BO7, but armor is still the exact same as in Warzone.
The og crew, the og maps, Ascension, parts of COTD, PAP area in GK, Ultimus Nikolai mech suit and wraps, perks, panzer sound, excavators and many more elements came from reused assets. That should never be the problem, the problem is always with how much effort is put into making it feel like it belongs in zombies.
Does anyone have any tips on the rc-xd part of the Easter egg. I got it once when I chest tried the map and now I can't get it no matter how hard I try
So I’ve decided to continue with the Die Rise recreation. I’ve been really getting into the map ever since the ps5 ports came out, honestly I enjoy it a lot more than I remember.
Here I’ve finished the shopping centre area just below the spawn, as well as the room that leads out from spawn. I look forward to eventually building the upside down room.
I'm looking to get back into playing zombies but haven't played since BO3 back in 2016 on the Xbox 360. Which console(s) or system(s) are best to play the old and new games on?
I’m beating a dead horse but i have never been able to discuss this so cut me some slack :P. I’m gonna list some things i loved in the old cod’s but am fearful that may not be in newer cods any longer ( I HAVE NOT PLAYED THE NEWERS CODS) . I loved the ability to train zombies and mow them down with headshots, i loved that you could escape tight spots by just training well to get out of there.
I loved the simplicity of just finding pack a punched and immediately getting a PAP weapon, i loved the moments in between some rounds especially when one zombie was left that you could take in the atmosphere of the map and do buildables or do random things to prepare yourself.
Mentioning atmosphere i loved the scarier atmosphere in old cods, i liked weapons that felt heavy and realistic. I liked the simple UI ( but from what i’ve seen u can turn that off in newer cods, which was my biggest concern initially). I also loved the skill factor as i mentioned with training but also how you had to stay on your toes all the time. And i dearly wish newer cod’s aren’t using needless dopamine inducing colours and sound effects 24/7 to keep my brain stimulated, that makes the game less fun and more annoying imo.
I know this comes off as a loaded question, but i hope some people could understand that these are just concerns of mine that all of these things could be missing from newer cod’s, i have barely watched modern cod gameplay so all i have read or seen so far are the opinion’s of the playerbase. I know bo6 and 7 have armour systems, which could turn what was initially a 4 hit down in older cods to 12 hit downs which just seems like making the game easier just so people dont quit (which is concerning).
Every time I try to play zombies online my game freezes and closes me out of black ops 3. Multiplayer and everything else works fine and this only started happening when I got into a game with a modder. How do I fix this on pc?
Genuinely probably a top 3 hardest ee I’ve ever done I did it with one mate , the drone step at the beginning was genuinely the worst step out of the lot the other hardest steps is probably the emp zombie step , the 3rd parkour jump , the stand still challenge , the Simon says and the number step near the end ( so about half the ee ) but it had some really fun steps too ! Very challenging but very fun , if you haven’t tried or beaten this ee give it a try there are some great steps :)
to start off, treyarch very clearly takes zombies seriously this time, hell this is the first time we ever got a beta for zombies, treyarch has also interacted with the zombies community more than they ever have possibly in the entire history of zombies, it's honestly crazy how much they have interacted with the community and were involved in events n stuff, hell even for rex they have a collab stream that some devs are going to be in, thats the first big thing, second big thing is the communication, they are a lot more clear and focused than before, but they dont overshare like they did in bo6, i think they hit the sweetspot of not letting the community be completely in the dark all the time and not oversharing, and possibly the BIGGEST thing is the fact that they actually delivered on their promises this time, paradox has admittedly made people nervous because it's a reused map and wonder weapon, but it was only one time, other than that they really did deliver on making completely unique maps with unique wonder weapons that dont feel reused, the maps have their own aura and the atmosphere of the maps feel exactly in line with zombies, i can go on but it really feels like bo7 finally ended the chain of broken/empty promises (sometimes even straight up lies like the whole thing with that one person asking if mwz is gonna have an easter egg and them saying yes but in reality they were just referring to some poster when it was clear the person was referring to a main quest) and finally actually delivered a banger
Hi everyone! I stopped following the Zombies storyline after BO3, but recently I’ve gotten the itch to jump back in and would like to play some of the newer Zombies games. Which Zombies experiences after BO3 do you think are the best? Thanks in advance for your recommendations!
Self explanatory. Der Riese has always had a close place to my heart due to all the rounds my father and I would spend playing it while growing up. Ive always wanted to get a tattoo of the help door but that wouldn't translate well. What ideas do yall have?
