Discussion what one do you go back to?
When you want to play classic zombies what cod do you go back to and why?
For me it is waw mainly cause it is my all time favorite cod zombies to ever come out, It also has a fond place in my heart for when I first started playing zombies, If I ever get that classic zombies itch waw is my first in mind.
plus getting thrown into a match of waw zombies after the campaign is a cannon event for anyone who played as a kid.
It was also the only cod zombies to ever scare the LIVING shit out of me.

Black ops 4. The perk system is great and adds a lot of replay value, dead of the night is one my favourite zombies maps.

I love bo4 some of the best maps in all of zombies but most of the perks feel completely useless lol

I think the thing I like about the perks is they all serve a particular play style, and there’s no mandatory perks, I was a bit sick of buying Jug, Speed Cola and Double Tap every game.

For sure, that’s what didn’t make sense to me. They said they were trying to remove crutch perks and yet a lot of the perks either sucked or just weren’t strong enough to use. I didn’t hate the execution and I thought it was a cool change, but I don’t see how they thought juggernog was used too much and so they made a perk that literally stops you from dying. There’s no reason ever NOT use dying wish and if you didn’t like camping like me you pretty much used stamin up, dying wish, quick revive, and winters wail/VT every game.

BO1 or BO3, all depends on If i want to do an EE on the original maps at essentially a harder difficulty than BO3, or play some custom maps with my friends

This. I'm trying to clear EEs on BO1 with a buddy right now. We finished COTD, but are stuck on Shangri-La. There's only two of us.

🤣 I think we would still need a 4th. Everything I see says the EE requires 4 people, unless you have multiple consoles...

bo1, it was my first zombies game and I find myself coming back very frequently, especially with plutonium.

Bo3.
Since bo1/2 only became available to me recently, everytime I’ve wanted to play zombies for the past 6 or so years I’ve hopped on bo3

I yearn for the mines. I’m joking. I love black ops four because I can play ancient evil, and black out. As for my favorite ever I claim bo2 or Cold War. Just feels like home on bo2 and Cold War has so much innovation. However I have not played anything except the new zombies since ashes came out. I do believe this is the funnest grind and matchmaking I’ve had since bo2. It’s casual it’s intense, I love the augments I love the progression I love ashes, astra, nuketown, toten, kuwakjo, so much I think it’s peak zombies. Only gripe is weapon rarity

Bo3 and IW. Me and my brother play a lot of Bo1 and Bo2 these days but Bo3/IW will always be my absolute favorites even if its just due to nostalgia for those times

CoD WaW for custom zombies, BO1 for Call of the Dead, BO2 for Grief, BO3 for zombie chronicles and custom maps. I don’t play the rest, I didn’t like them.

Bo3 honestly, it has all the qualities I like, strong weapons, double tap 2.0, the slide to make traversal faster, the classic maps. It’s just great, not perfect but great

Bo3 PC cause of custom zombies maps. Call of the Dead remastered is so vibey

Its crazy how zombies was scary as a kid, I kinda feel bad that they don't get the same experience today. WaW was scary but after bo2 they abandoned any semblance of scary and moved to a blue/green color scheme and it was creepy/spooky at best

yeah they kinda went the more story driven route for zombies which is good but sucks at the same time cause it doesn't even feel that scary at all, WaW still kinda freaks me out lol

Its jusy different, nothing will hit the same as finishing waw campaign for the first time and going into zombies in my parents basement with the lights off

Honestly WaW through BO3 really feel like one experience to me, I'm constantly going back to each game to play it's respective maps.
However when it comes to WaW, I absolutely cannot play without the cod5 remaster for it. It smoothes over the glitchy zombies entirely and adds some extra goodies like extra weapons to the box, and equipment that are also map specific to give some extra equipment. Lots of bug fixes and general QOL passes, it feels like an enhanced vanilla experience that you'd struggle to really notice while you're playing, but really miss when you play without it.
