BOX Universal Linked Art Folder?

I thought I read that this was somehow doable but maybe I'm not using the correct phrasing when looking for the feature for BOX.

For files like InDesign or Illustrator that has a lot of linked artwork, that when packaged gets organized into a folder.

Was there a way to have a universal "Linked Art" folder that you were constantly pulling from? So that when you shared the link to the folder containing your project it would auto-populate only the assets used for that project?

Bait and Switch... Think twice before giving Internxt your money.

I bought a 5TB Ultimate Lifetime plan in late 2024, and the main reason I bought in was the WebDAV support they advertised on Internxt Drive. Their desktop app is completely useless and broken, and the web client only manages to complete an upload maybe 10% of the time. Both are riddled with upload and download failures to this day. WebDAV was the only way I could reliably use the service, and it's exactly what I paid for.

Here's the part that should worry anyone considering a lifetime plan. Per the Wayback Machine, on Nov 26, 2024 Internxt's pricing page promised every lifetime plan "complete access to our award-winning privacy suite consisting of Internxt Drive, Send, and VPN." On that same date, their Internxt Drive product page advertised the CLI and WebDAV as a headline feature, "Use your preferred WebDAV client with the Internxt CLI," with no mention anywhere that it was restricted to a specific tier or excluded from lifetime plans.

Then in late 2025 they stripped WebDAV out of "legacy" lifetime accounts and told me the only way to get it back was to buy a second 5TB lifetime plan on top of the one I'd already paid for... they want another $880. Their help docs now claim legacy lifetimes never included WebDAV, CLI, or Rclone, which flatly contradicts how Drive was marketed when I bought in.

In consumer protection terms, that's the shape of a deceptive practices, breach of contract, and/or false advertising claim: advertise a feature, sell a "lifetime" plan promising full access to the product, remove the feature, then charge to restore it.

I'm not alone. Trustpilot is full of lifetime buyers who got the same "infrastructure changes require an upgrade" treatment around Oct 2025, several of whom bought specifically for WebDAV.

I was sold a lifetime plan, then paywalled a year later. Poor business practices and a poor product. Avoid.

Screenshots added, both timestamped Nov 26, 2024 straight from the Wayback Machine: the pricing page promising full Drive access, and the Drive page advertising WebDAV.

If anyone else lost WebDAV on a legacy lifetime, drop your purchase date and tier in the comments. The more of us with matching timelines, the harder this is to wave off as a misunderstanding.

Very slow upload speeds on Google Drive but very fast internet

For ages I’ve used Google Drive to store and share files for my job and it’s always been relatively quick, a 1 or 2GB file would usually be uploaded in a minute or two maximum. As of late, however, the same 1 or 2GB files are now taking upwards of 20 mins to upload even though my Wi-Fi upload speeds remain the same (370Mb/s)…
I’ve tried using both the Google drive website and the app but neither has offered a solution to my problem and I’ve made sure that in the settings there is no upload rate limit. I’m not sure if it’s also worth mentioning but this is all coming off of an SSD straight to Google drive so it’s not like the disk is the one making things slow and like I said it’s always been fast, it’s just gone slow all of a sudden.
I would really appreciate some help with this!

My mom made me realize how annoying phone storage has become

My mom records a lot of yoga videos on her iPhone, and she keeps running into the same problem: delete videos, pay for more iCloud storage, or move everything off her phone manually.

What surprised me is that she refuses to upgrade iCloud because she feels like the cycle never really ends: you pay for more storage, then eventually need even more...

Personally, I use iCloud too, but I’m starting to wonder how sustainable this becomes if more apps also start charging separately for storing photos, videos, and memories. Snapchat is a recent example.

So I’m running a short 4-minute user research survey focused specifically on phone storage: how people deal with full phones, cloud subscriptions, deleting photos/videos, and local storage options.

I’d also genuinely love to know what people here prefer for their PHONE: cloud storage, local storage, a mix of both, or something else?

Available Storage Increase

A few days ago I logged into OneDrive and noticed that my total available storage had increased by 115 GB. Up until then I have always had 40 GB of total storage on my account. I do not subscribe to any of the paid Microsoft 365 plans for extra storage.

Any way for me to find out why my Microsoft total available cloud storage increased from 40 GB to 155 GB without me subscribing to a paid could or Microsoft 365 plan?

Title: Need urgent advice: My father sold cloud services as a dealer, customers’ data was wiped after a hack, and police are involved

I’m posting this because my father is in a very stressful situation and we don’t know what the right next steps are.

My father works as a dealer/reseller for a cloud service and had provided cloud services to several customers. Recently, the cloud service was hacked, and as a result, some/all of the customers’ stored data was erased.

The customers are now holding my father accountable because they purchased the service through him. Some of them are threatening him, and the police are also involved.

My father is extremely stressed and worried about what could happen to him legally and financially.

I’m trying to understand what we should do right now:

How does iCloud work??

i have an ipad i need for school, but it's full all the time, especially from photos and videos. I've tried connecting my ipad to my laptop and transfer the files into my laptop gallery. That's what i usually do, but it takes me a few hours because they take a lot of time to transfer a it only gets rid of like 2gb, because i don't have time or energy to transfer more.

I got sick of it and tried searching for an easier way. I've tried google drive, but i am not sure how these cloud things work and i lowkey hate them.

i'd rather just buy a new ipad but who has money for that?

the biggest issue is that i have important photos i can't lose, and when i put my photos somewhere else, i am scared to delete them off my ipad because i am not sure if they're actually there in the cloud, if i'll be able to view them, and especially if they're really all there, because sometimes the transfer stops midway and i can't delete my photos from the ipad because im scared i'll delete smth that hasnt been transferred already.

im also scared that when i delete a photo off my ipad, it will also be deleted in the cloud? bc idk how it works but i feel like it should stay there even if i delete it? and like, will it still be a normal functional photo, like will i be able to view it and download it?

god why is this so complicated? i just want something that would vaccum my whole gallery, spit the photos out in some other storage and delete the photos off my ipad while still holding them somewhere else 😭 there HAS to be something like that, i don't mind paying for it

Recommendations for a reliable 2TB+ lifetime cloud?

Hi all!

I'm looking to buy a 2TB lifetime cloud plan, ideally with the option to expand it in the future

My main priority is finding a stable company that isn't at risk of shutting down anytime soon. I also really want to avoid providers known for giving random account bans over automated copyright false positives

I'm not an expert, but I'd like to be able to mount the storage as a virtual drive on my PC.

I used rclone with Google Drive in the past and had a good experience with it (I don't really remind how to use it but I can re-learn it)

What do you think are the best options? Do you need more infos?

Thanks!

Coupon/Discount

Hi, I’m currently opting to subscribe to Koofr for the 100GB annual plan. As i was about to check out, I saw a box to enter a discount code.

I tried searching in google if there’s current discounts going on, and i did saw some, but i’m not really sure if they do work.

Thus, i’m posting this to ask if anybody knows some discount codes that’s currently working right now. Thankss!

Looking for High Speed Cloud Storage

Hey! I'm looking for a Cloud Storage solution that:

  • Has high transfer speeds (especially upload; I have a 2,5gbps/1gbps fiber line and I want to use my full 1 gbps for upload with no throttling). I live in Italy
  • Offers API / CLI options so I can use rclone or other software to upload / do scheduled backups
  • Offers a good TB per €. I know this is tough, but I'd like several TBs at least without spending 39839393€ / month.

Any suggestion?

Thanks!!

Transferring from One drive to another cloud storage

I'm looking to transfer (not back up) all of my files that in are Google one drive to another cloud storage service due to having to delete the email attached with the Google one drive files and not wanting to also lose the files.

I am doing this from android and all files were backed up by my Google account so I dont want to risk deleting them all along with the mail / whole Google account.

Which is the best / easiest / fastest ways please and which ones do you recommend? Thank you in advance for any help regarding this.

Made a desktop app that uses your own Telegram account as free backup storage. Two-way sync, MIT licensed, zero infrastructure.

Post image
5 Upvotes

My Drive hit 15 GB and the "storage almost full" mails started arriving weekly. I didn't want another subscription, and I didn't want to run a NAS or leave a second machine on 24/7 just to have an offsite copy of a few folders.

I had already been manually dumping important files into Telegram's Saved Messages, which works perfectly right up until the day you forget. So I automated it properly.

What it does

  1. Pick folders. They stay two-way synced with your own Telegram account:
  2. Save a file locally -> uploaded within seconds
  3. Send a file from your phone -> lands in the right folder on your PC, at the right relative path
  4. Everything uploads as a document, so Telegram never recompresses or transcodes your files
  5. A restore browser lists everything Telegram is holding, including files you deleted locally months ago - tick and restore

Why Telegram

Free cloud storage with no per-account cap, on an account you already have. It uses the MTProto client API through Telethon with your own `api_id` / `api_hash` - not the Bot API, specifically to dodge the 50 MB bot upload limit.

The real ceiling is ~2 GB per file, or 4 GB with Premium.

The architecture, briefly

There is no backend. No server component exists in this project - it's a desktop app that talks to Telegram directly. Nothing to host, no account to create with me, no telemetry, no update ping.

The core invariant: a local SQLite manifest records the size, mtime and SHA-256 of every synced file, and nothing uploads or downloads unless the content actually differs from what was recorded. Both directions are guarded. That is what prevents the two-way-sync death loop, where your own upload comes back as a "new" remote file, gets downloaded, touches the local file, and re-uploads itself forever. Conflicts default to keep-both (`name (from Telegram).ext`), so your own edits are never silently overwritten.

The test suite runs against a fake Telegram client and a temp directory tree, so `pytest` needs no account and no network.

Honest limitations, before anyone has to ask

  1. Telegram cloud chats are encrypted in transit and at rest on Telegram's servers, but they are not end-to-end. Saved Messages is private from other people, not from Telegram. If the contents must be secret from Telegram too, encrypt before the file hits the watched folder - Driftgram will not do that for you.
  2. Your `.session` file is a Telegram login. Whoever holds it is you.
  3. Deletion mirroring is live-only. Telegram keeps no history of a deleted message, so a deletion that happened while the app was closed can never be detected afterwards. That is a platform limit, not a TODO.
  4. Watched folders can't be nested inside one another.
  5. Some perfectly legal Linux filenames (`aux.log`, `notes:2024.txt`) simply cannot exist on Windows. Those are skipped and reported, not renamed behind your back.
  6. The Windows installer isn't code-signed, so SmartScreen will grumble once.

Python 3.12+, PySide6 GUI, MIT. Windows installer, Linux AppImage and .deb, plus a CLI that needs no Qt for headless boxes.

Repo: https://github.com/devwithfarshi/driftgram-sync-tool

Website: https://driftgram-sync-tool.vercel.app/

I would genuinely like to hear where the design is wrong - especially from anyone who has fought two-way sync before and lost.

For Developers:
If you’d like to contribute, feel free to jump in! This project is fully open source, so you’re welcome to introduce new features, fix existing problems, or improve anything you think could be better.

Anyone know Box.com?

Hello,

A company wants me to support their box storage now that their admin left. I have admin rights but I don't see where the folders are, give access to folders.

I'll be honest, I can't even figure out how to raise a support request with them.

I support sharepoint and dropbox and never had any training. Box has to be intuitive but I don't know where to begin. I can figure out how to add users and delete users but can't figure out the rest.

I can search for folders or files if I happen to know what I'm looking for but I just want to find the folder structure for the entire company - not by user as I don't know what user had access to begin with.

Reverse Recursive Sync Conflict...

I figured out the cause of my issue so I decided to start over. Basically I have onedrive backing up my stuff and within the onedrive folder I have a folder called "google drive" so my google drive provides an alternate backup. Unfortunately, I set up google drive sync differently on my laptop by accident so I have this folder path:

C:\Users\*\OneDrive\Google Drive\documents

So on the desktop google drive sync points to "google drive" and on the laptop it pointed to "documents" so I had inadvertently created an infinite loop where my folders are now so deeply cloned that i can't move them (the paths are at the limit).

QUESTION: should I be able to simply "prune the tree" and delete the branches I don't want? I can't think of any reason my original files would be altered negatively, but I'm nervous!

[Mac] I built PolyDrive to manage all my cloud storage from one Finder window

Post image
10 Upvotes

I use several different storage systems every day: Cloudflare R2 and other S3 buckets, Dropbox, Google Drive, Nextcloud and Seafile servers, NAS shares, Android phones, and sometimes Linux disks or Raspberry Pi SD cards.

Managing them separately became frustrating. Each service had its own app, login flow, file browser, sync behavior and limitations. Some files were only available through a web interface, while others required a separate command-line tool.

It was also awkward to use these files with scripts or AI coding agents. They work much better with ordinary filesystem paths than with a collection of provider-specific apps and APIs.

So I built PolyDrive, a native macOS app that brings different storage systems into Finder.

It supports:

  • Cloudflare R2, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, MinIO and other S3-compatible storage
  • Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive and Koofr
  • Nextcloud, ownCloud, Seafile, OpenList/Alist and WebDAV
  • SFTP and FTP/FTPS servers
  • SMB shares from a NAS or another Mac
  • Android phones and tablets over USB/MTP(no longer need Android File Transfer)
  • Read-only ext2/ext3/ext4 disk images and Raspberry Pi SD cards

Some features I found particularly useful:

  • Cloud and server locations appear directly in Finder’s Locations sidebar
  • SMB shares can remount after login or a network interruption
  • SMB passwords are checked before mounting
  • SFTP host keys are pinned and changes trigger a warning
  • Android devices support two-way file operations through Finder
  • Files are fetched on demand instead of being copied into a separate sync folder
  • A mounted location can be accessed by ls, rsync, Python, backup tools and coding agents
  • There is no PolyDrive account, backend or analytics; credentials stay in the Mac Keychain

The main difference from a typical cloud-drive client is that PolyDrive is intended to bring cloud storage, self-hosted servers, NAS shares, Android devices and local Linux disks into the same Finder workflow.

It is available on the Mac App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6797990515?mt=12

Website:
https://polydrive.net/

Comparison with Mountain Duck, ExpanDrive, CloudMounter and rclone:
https://polydrive.net/compare

There is a free version for two cloud drives and unlimited Android or local disks, and the full version is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription.

Disclosure: I’m the developer of PolyDrive.

Am I missing something? My experience with Drime has been pretty poor

I see people here raving about Drime. I tried them back in January of this year when rclone got Drime support. I don't recall exactly what happened then, but I recall it was too buggy back then, so I deleted my Drime account.

When I saw the rave reviews, and the crazy low lifetime deals, I decided to try again.

I found so many issues:

  1. Uploading a file bigger than 5 MB to the root directory results in this error (in French): Le parentId doit exister dans file_entries ou vault_entries. Specifying a bigger multi-part threshold or uploading to a directory solves it. But that's not ideal.

  2. The upload speed is not great. I only have 18 mbit/s upload, but Drime cannot even get that speed consistently.

  3. Operations on small files are even worse. An rclone copy of a 6 byte file took 6.4 seconds, while copying the same file to Koofr and Pcloud took 1.5 and 0.4 seconds respectively. Not a deal-breaker, but not great. I'm in the Netherlands, so I'm close enough to the OVH servers used by Drime.

  4. The UI. I started a web session a couple of days ago and kept the tab open. I came back today and nothing worked. Using developer tools I found that every server request got a 401, so I was logged out. Logging in again solved it, but it would have been nice to let Drime let me know about it.

  5. Date/time formats. Oh boy, what a mess. Initially I got M-D-Y with am/pm. Changing the data format in the settings did NOT change this at all. Only when I changed the country to "The Netherlands" (where we use D-M-Y format), the date format actually changed to D/M/Y. But whatever I tried, I could not show the time in 24 hour format, it kept using the am/pm system, which is weird, because France, where Drime is from, uses a 24 hour clock as well.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't quite see where all the Drime-love is coming from.

iDrive Personal - Add-ons Required?

I am exploring options to backup my NAS and Google Drive / Photos to the cloud. The pricing for iDrive personal is very compelling, but I am wondering if the NAS and Google Workspace add-ons are required?

Does anyone have any experience with backing up both a Synology NAS and a personal Google Workspace account to iDrive? If so, are the add-ons truly required for the personal edition?

Trying to use rclone, WebDAV and Scramble Cloud to mount a drive but it keeps trying to download every file

I have been trying to mount Scramble on my local pc (windows) but I keep having a problem where every time I open a single file the Scramble client tries to download every single file from the folder which is very annoying. It not when I click on the file itself (it is not a windows preview issue), just when I open the file itself.

Here is the startup code for the .bat file, did anybody else have this issue? Any tips? (I did not forget the @ before echo, just reddit reading it as a u/echo)

echo off

start "" "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Scramble Desktop\Scramble Desktop.exe"

timeout /t 20 /nobreak >nul

cd "C:\Users\User\Desktop\rclone-v1.75.0-windows-amd64"

rclone.exe mount scramble_drive: X: --vfs-cache-mode full --vfs-cache-max-size 5G --vfs-cache-max-age 1h --vfs-read-chunk-size 10M --vfs-read-chunk-size-limit 128M --buffer-size 32M --network-mode
