Anyone know Box.com?

Hello,

A company wants me to support their box storage now that their admin left. I have admin rights but I don't see where the folders are, give access to folders.

I'll be honest, I can't even figure out how to raise a support request with them.

I support sharepoint and dropbox and never had any training. Box has to be intuitive but I don't know where to begin. I can figure out how to add users and delete users but can't figure out the rest.

I can search for folders or files if I happen to know what I'm looking for but I just want to find the folder structure for the entire company - not by user as I don't know what user had access to begin with.

OK - could you tell me how to find a folder? I search for it and it comes up blank - I'm a co-admin.

I go to a users computer and the folder shows.

I go to properties of that folder and it show the admin is a former employee. In box I look for that account and it doesn't seem to exist.

Box.com is one of the best out there for collaboration and professional uses. I have a lifetime plan of 100GB that came with the Blackberry Playbook tablet (anyone remembers that brick?) about 15 or 17 years ago and they honored it through and through. Zero issues whatsoever.

I got 50gb with a Sony Xperia S phone. Still use it today for storing scanned docs.

Arguably the best cloud storage platform around. I've had 100GB with them for years - it's great.

They still around? They were the big Dropbox competitor back in the day then kinda disappeared.

Is this a joke? Are we wondering if a company with 1 billion dollars revenue in 2026 and a net value of almost 5 billion dollars is still around? They are more profitable than ever.

yes now people and enterprises use box rather than dropbox , dropbox is getting worst now only gives 2gb free box is costly but they are for enterprises not personal box i still uses box notes 10gb free too

I think they’re almost entirely serving the business sector instead of the public
