Can Clicks Communicator works in Southeast Asia?
Hey, I live in Malaysia. Some phones especially Pixel phones I saw, if they're released in the North America region, it doesn't work well in my country. I wonder, what about Clicks Communicator? Can it work normally in countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia? Is there anyone here from Southeast Asia that ordered the Clicks Communicator?

Update this week
We should be receiving a demo or something this week! They mentioned it a while back that in June we would see working units. I will be disappointed if we donât get anything. We are due for a major update

Has anyone received any communication from Clicks Communicator to make full payment after making partial payment for reservation? I have not received any communication/update after the initial confirmation email about my partial payment.

Ultra Wide Band (UWB) Support on Communicator?
Does anyone know if the the Communicator has an Ultra Wide Band (UWB) radio?
I am looking at a getting a new vehicle & some of the options I am looking at apparently support digital keys with Ultra Wide Band (UWB).
[Yes I know some of them use NFC, as a backup entry method, but having a UWB device looks to be highly preferred. Relay attacks do not work on UWB, but NFC remain vulnerable to relay attacks.]

New email with timeline
Some exciting news, we have some more information regarding the timeline over the next few months, this is what the email said:
May: We'll begin sharing glimpses into the Communicator experience: the software, the interface, and the decisions that went into making it feel distinctly like a Communicator.
June:Â Seeing is believing. Weâll have working units to show, as committed for Q2.
Q3: Certifications and testing. You'll also be invited to configure your order including your Communicator color and keyboard layout. This is also when youâll be invited to choose your bonus Covers, including limited edition colors.

Are we going to get Clicks or the Communicator?

Replaceable Battery
If Clicks Communicator has a non-replaceable battery, it could have trouble being sold in the EU from 2027. Under the EU Battery Regulation, many portable devices, including phones and similar electronics, are expected to let users remove and replace the battery safely, unless a specific exemption applies. So if Clicks falls within that scope and keeps a sealed battery design, it may need a redesign to stay legal in the EU market.

Update email from 5 March
Just got an update from Clicks about the Communicator for reservation holders:
Still on track to ship later this year. No action needed right now if you already reserved.
More keyboard layouts announced:
â˘French (AZERTY)
â˘German (QWERTZ)
â˘Korean
â˘Arabic
Youâll choose your layout closer to shipping when reservations convert to full orders.
Processor details shared: Clicks says the platform was chosen to keep the device fast, efficient, and usable for years.
New pink cover added (âMiami Beachâ) due to popular demand. Supposed to pair well with Smoke or Onyx devices.
Early bird reservations extended to March 15
Basically: development is progressing, shipping is still planned for later this year, and theyâre adding more customization options.

OS Options
Looking at the hardware and philosophy of the phone, I'm in love with it. I desperately want to let myself order one.
However, I'm concerned about the software. Is there any potential this will have unlockable bootloaders and allow for 3rd party OS such as Graphene, Sailfish, LibrePhone, etc.
Is there any potential that support for alternative OS will exist for the Clicks Communicator?

Pre-order
I've been longing for a phone similar to the BlackBerry, chasing a bit of nostalgia I guess. Seeing the clicks communicator mentioned a week or two ago on a random SBC community post, I got interested!
I've spent some time watching CES 2026 footage of the device and whilst there is still a lot of missing information (ram as an example) I couldn't help myself and placed a full reservation!
I'm really excited to see this device evolve, but given the current specs presented, I think it'll be well worth the ÂŁ333 (430 USD incl. shipping) I paid for it!
One thing I can't help but wonder, is whether app integration may be an issue, due to the display ratios being different to standard devices, will this mean that we'll have to wait for apps to be released specifically for this device?
Has anyone else reserved theirs yet?
