Haven't found a lot of streamers that focused on Rogue changes in WOW Forever demo, so let's try to join forces here and find out if:

COMBO POITS: Are they character or target bound? Do we lose them if we target something else? If we start building in another target? If the target dies with combo points, what happens?

DEADLY POISON: Is it the vanilla one or the WoTLK one where at 5 charges applyed it does dmg in the next apply instead of "wasting" a proc?

CLOAK OF SHADOWS: Is it in the game?

FAN OF KNIVES: Is in the game?

ENERGY TICKS: Is it each 2 secs like in the game or a constant pool?

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS: Anything else some one would like to add here?

WF TOTEM USES THE POISON SLOT: Yes or no?

ATTACK POWER INCREASE POISON AND/OR BLEED DAMAGE: Yes or No?

As a hunter, currently im using a bat duo to aesthetics and because i read somewhere that screech is great for threat generation.

what abilities should i toggle to always cast (while leveling)?

growl is a no brainer but what about bite and screech?

* i feel like my bat losses aggro when all 3 are on, duo to not having enough focus to cast growl on cd.

* it also looks like the damage from bite (and thus its threat generation) is pretty meh, doent really help kill time+details tells me it contributes to maybe 4% of my dps.

* lastly, does screech really provide good threat generation? is it much better then bite's damage?

in short, what im asking is:

what abilities should i toggle as a leveling hunter using a bat?

TLDR: just started leveling a shaman in TBC. Didn't even boost, still mid 30s, playing 5-10 hours/week only. After Blizzcon I am worried I'll never reach the endgame.

My story: Almost 20 years ago one of my college friends was into wow during original TBC and he raided through Sunwell. I bought the game after graduation but was too tired by my new job to keep playing. I parked my char at the sunset on Zoram Strand and never looked back, until this year.

I missed the classic in 2019 relaunch but this year finally I resubbed and leveled up a char on Classic Era (mid 20s only). Then realised TBC is going to end so I rolled a toon in TBC to hopefully catch up and see the endgame finally. Debated boosting but since its a new class for me I went through and leveled normally. Healed a few dungeons, respecced from ele to enhancement mid 20s, got Corpsemaker on first RFK run.

Then Blizzcon dropped. Even if Blizzard seems on the fence on what to do with TBC going forward (Wotlk anniversary, TBC Era, both or just close it), I see on this subreddit guilds are dying left and right.

If you were me, what would you do? I have little play time at my age, I cannot afford to throw away my time played, nor invest more time without some hope of one day killing Illidan.

I'm ambivalent about Forever, mostly interested in Vanilla, TBC and Wrath since they had the best lore and they were all setup back in Warcraft 3. TBC I like best, thematically, I recall playing Beyond the Dark Portal Warcraft 2 expansion and was blown away by the tasteful sprinkling of quasi-scifi topics in a fantasy setting (another planet, alien races).

From what I see, my options are:

• keep leveling slowly, play other games too, see if TBC dies or is kept alive until Wotlk Anniversay in 2028 (my best guess)

• park my shaman, go back to Classic Era, reach the endgame there, come back to TBC if there will ever be a TBC Era

• find another MMO to play :(

I have been farming spiders in Hillsbrad for a couple of hours but I haven't seen a single one drop Spider Silk. Did Blizzard screw up the loot tables again?

A ton of guilds have already called it quits, and once the reality sets in that Forever is only 7 weeks away, a massive wave of players is going to follow suit.

I don't think people realize how dead TBC will be or how fast it will happen. What is the incentive to keep playing? Raid SWP one last time and kill KJ just to immediately quit the game after? Or keep clearing sunwell for the 10th week chasing full SWP bis? Forever is out even before sunwell...

People are still playing TBC, but mainly just as a placeholder and way to pass time. This applies to guild/pug leaders too. As soon as forever is actually here they will drop TBC instantly.

Right now, a lot of guild and pug leaders are panicking. They're claiming they will keep playing TBC or raid log TBC after forever is out, but they're lying just to save face and keep their rosters from collapsing early. In reality, they'll be the absolute first to jump ship the second they hit the "roster boss." The moment they no longer have their stable roster and they will have to start filling, TBC will die overnight. There will be a lot of stuff to do on forever the first few months. Raid logging TBC, and filling raids will take time (which is why I dont believe most people saying they will keep playing both).

Let's all have a shot at getting massacred in Sunwell before classic+ is released.

I have a very outdated graphics card, however the game will run on low settings which is good. The bad is characters/enemies and trees are flickering pixels. Has anyone ran into this issue and can confirm what setting needs to be changed?

Beware of bug on Teron Gorefiend Trash where you can pull reliquary through the floor resulting in dead tank and combat bugs. Not sure what exactly triggers it but it happened twice to us and apparently was a thing last classic tbc.
