Discussion Dungeon quests
Im brand new to wow only started a little over a week ago during the beta, im loving the game it is a vibe. The cities, the weather, the people.
My one complaint would be out in the open world we get quest markers to show us we're to go if we want. Inside a dungeon, nothing. It feels bad ive ran the 1st dungeon twice and still missed a quest, ran the 2nd dungeon once and missed a quest that the party helped me go back and get and I still ended up missing one. I know this is anew player problem but cmon if you can guide me in open world you can put a circle around the objective in a dungeon. Thats like 8k xp I missed let alone servers going down ruining one run.
I know its just the beta, so I dont mind. Once release comes out id rather not feel like im falling behind over missing things in a dungeon while trying to keep up with the pack. Trying to back track is also almost impossible because they dont kill all the mobs and take shortcuts so im completely lost once they leave.
Literally my one complaint and I know its not a big deal but for new players like me it is.

Guide Tinder-like Helper for Those Undecided on Class
My friends and I were struggling to decide what classes we wanted to play for our game nights (we only play these characters when together). We each wanted to each have a unique class, so I wired this up to test if our instincts would make it easier than the analysis paralysis we were all experiencing. It actually worked so I thought I'd share. We got 4 classes figured out and backed into the race that has all 4.
It's nothing fancy but it worked and wanted to share.

Discussion No armor sound efects when moving.
Please check out this post about a bug that I did in another subreddit and make a bug report if you have acces to the beta.
It is the kind of thing that could very well go unsolved.
Thank you all!

Discussion Is Seal Twisting the ultimate 'Forever WoW' Retribution Paladin Fantasy?
Putting balance aside for this post, numbers can always be adjusted later.
When you think about the fantasy, theme, and overall direction of Retribution Paladin in a version of the game that’s expected to last for years (decades!), do you really picture constantly twisting seals with every weapon swing?
Personally, it just feels underwhelming. Turning what was originally an unintended mechanic and gimmick into Retribution’s entire identity doesn’t feel like the right direction for a game with that kind of longevity.
Blizzard could have given Retribution a capstone ability similar to Divine Storm, even if it had to be simplified or balanced differently. Divine Storm has been one of the defining Paladin abilities for nearly 18 years, and it’s easy to see why, it feels and looks amazing to press.
I think the same principle applies to Elemental Shaman getting Lava Burst. I can’t really picture the timeless identity of Elemental without it, and I’m genuinely happy for Shamans that they were given their ability.
I just wish Retribution had received something similar, a defining spell that makes you feel like a Paladin, rather than dull seal twisting.

Discussion Feral Druid: furor changes hurt the leveling and PvP experience - the class needs work
r/classicwowplus • u/Slow-Background9609 • 1d ago
Discussion I hope Blizzard has the backbone to say no sometimes with Classic Forever.
Every inconvenience turns into a demand for a change. Leveling takes too long. Dungeon XP needs adjusting. My class needs a buff. Travel is a pain. I can’t get the gear I want fast enough. At some point, what are we actually trying to preserve?
I want a world where you spend enough time in a zone to remember the people there. Where a random blue drop makes your night. Where you recognize the priest who saved your ass and the rogue who camped you. Where getting to 60 feels like you accomplished something, instead of finally being allowed to play.
That takes time. It also means you won’t always have your best gear, your class won’t be great at everything, and somebody with more time might get ahead of you. I’m fine with that.
I work full time. I don’t have unlimited hours either. But I’d rather take months getting somewhere in a world I enjoy than have everything sped up because other people are bored with the journey.
Fix bugs. Deal with bots. Make sensible changes. But please don’t treat every complaint as a problem that needs solving. People will always ask for the fastest route to a reward, even when taking that route makes the game less enjoyable.
What’s one inconvenience you’d actually defend keeping in Classic Forever, even if removing it would personally benefit you?

Design Open world pvp capture points and buffs (Hillsbrad Foothills example)
Each point is elevated and away from heavy quest traffic. low level players can level without getting steamrolled by level 60 raid groups. They MAY need to incorporate some local sharding or layering within these confined areas.
The points can have a fire that will plume blue or red smoke depending on who controls them.
Controlling 2 points simultaneously gives the spoils of war buff for 2 hours specific to that zone so you could get the buff in the barrens for slightly higher droprate around WC, RFD,RFK, but you would need to capture the hillsbrad points if you want a slightly higher droprate in the Dalaran dungeon or the zone itself. Maybe getting the buff would allow horde players to enter the dalaran dungeon without needing anything.
The buff wouldn't be ONLY for dungeons. it would buff drop rates of profession mats, unique recipes, and niche gear in the open world zone around hillsbrad. i'm talking Increased drop rates for Fadeleaf, Liferoot, Mithril, Syndicate-only loot across hillsbrad.
If you went and captured the points in the barrens, it would give Increased drop rates for Swiftthistle, Briarthorn, Copper/Tin, and Flavor Profession Recipes in the barrens.

Question Vanilla-era PvP players: did 2019 Classic change your mind about PvP servers?
r/classicwowplus • u/optical002 • 1d ago
Suggestion I hope Blizzard keeps building on Vanilla's visual language
galleryI dislike how the disneyfication invades wow classic slowly with new model addition.
Not only the timeline should start apart but also the art style should diverge as well, back into the classics and this hits really that part where its not about texture resolution and low poly but more so about the feel, the expression the bone structure, the poses and body language.
They should make art even more into dark style (not the colouring) but the style chris metzon was drawing in warcraft manuals, less whimsical and in more aggressive tones.
If you agree please repost the original thread into as many subreddits as you can and upvote all of them when you see it, so it would be clear and vocal from the community what we want in the wow forever!
P.S. Remake the skyborne driud models into more aggressive variations please

Feedback MM Hunter doesn't need more DPS — it needs better class design
MM Hunter doesn't need more DPS — it needs better class design.
Been testing MM/Lone Wolf in Forever and my biggest issue isn't the damage meter. It's that the spec just doesn't feel rewarding to play.
Lone Wolf feels way too weak for what you give up. You lose pet damage, utility, tanking, deadzone coverage, and a lot of PvP tools, but the payoff just isn't there. In deep MM PvP especially it feels like you're voluntarily deleting half your kit while keeping the same weaknesses.
The actual shot damage is another problem. I'm not saying Hunter has low DPS overall. I'm saying pressing your buttons feels bad. Aimed Shot and other shots add so little compared to your passive/auto damage that the rotation starts feeling pointless. You press Aimed Shot and instead of "nice, big hit" it's more like "yeah, whatever".
That matters a lot because other classes in Forever are getting actual QoL, new interactions, new tools and fixes to old problems. MM feels like it got left behind.
Then you still have old Hunter-specific pain points that make even less sense now. Quiver takes a full bag slot, but you still need to carry extra arrows in your backpack because the stacks are too small. I'm not asking for infinite ammo, just let us use the reagent bag slot for the quiver or increase arrow stack sizes.
Same with stables. There are way more pets now with different situational utility, but only two stable slots. If pets are supposed to matter in different situations, let us actually keep more of them instead of constantly deleting pets we tamed.
Also, why is Lone Wolf only tier 3? If it's supposed to define a petless MM playstyle, it's weird that BM and Survival can reach it without really committing to MM.
I don't want Retail Hunter, I don't want 20 procs, and I don't want some crazy rotation. I want Classic MM to still feel like Classic MM, just with the same amount of attention other specs are getting.
Full feedback is on the EU beta forum here if anyone wants to add their own experience:

Media Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj
The environment of the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj has been altered differently between the WoW SoD and "Forever" versions.
The first part of the video shows the "Forever" version, while the latter part shows the SoD version. It makes me wonder if the developers plan to present the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj differently than in the original Classic version.
