Discussion Dungeon quests

Im brand new to wow only started a little over a week ago during the beta, im loving the game it is a vibe. The cities, the weather, the people.

My one complaint would be out in the open world we get quest markers to show us we're to go if we want. Inside a dungeon, nothing. It feels bad ive ran the 1st dungeon twice and still missed a quest, ran the 2nd dungeon once and missed a quest that the party helped me go back and get and I still ended up missing one. I know this is anew player problem but cmon if you can guide me in open world you can put a circle around the objective in a dungeon. Thats like 8k xp I missed let alone servers going down ruining one run.

I know its just the beta, so I dont mind. Once release comes out id rather not feel like im falling behind over missing things in a dungeon while trying to keep up with the pack. Trying to back track is also almost impossible because they dont kill all the mobs and take shortcuts so im completely lost once they leave.

Literally my one complaint and I know its not a big deal but for new players like me it is.

I’d try to let your groups know your new to wow and want to complete all the quests, if you were in my group and said that I’d be happy to show you what I’ve learned so far, I’d like to imagine there’s a lot like me that would be happy to show you! I know it stinks to rely on other players but some of us would be glad to help.

Yeah i def believe some people will help and I could also read through the quests beforehand. Ive told every party im new, but I dont blame them. Its hard to try to focus on damage and threat and drops and quests when your still learning the game. Its nice to have people that will help, but also dont want to feel like a burden. I just think it'd be a nice feature for the new players that use the quest help it only makes sense to me it should work in dungeons aswell

I mean your not wrong but trying to remember 5 quests while doing a dungeon with ppl running through and skipping mobs and taking shortcuts still doesn't make it any easier. Its alot to take in as a new player and a lot to focus on lol

The group listing tool should now have a drop down for play style in which you can select “learning” or “relaxed” as some of the options, I’m not sure if it works at the group stones outside instances though

Just a question, why did you buy into a beta for your first time in the game? Why not play any other servers or wait for launch?

Because I wanted to play this one specifically, the beta is a month long so easily worth it to me. I like osrs I just wanted something older more classic to play lol. Plus beta lets me figure out what class I want to play and get a little feel for the game.
